Replacing your home’s siding is probably one of the biggest home improvement projects you’re ever going to undertake in your lifetime as a homeowner. It’s certainly one of the most expensive. There’s a lot that goes into making this decision. First, you have to determine your budget. Then, you need to decide on the type of siding you want (cheapest? most expensive? somewhere in the middle?), the color, but most importantly, WHO is going to do the work. Finding the right contractor, for me, is the most important part of this process. Let’s face it, siding is siding is siding and unless you’re looking for some type of specialized product, replacement siding is pretty much the same from contractor to contractor. You can’t say the same thing about the company that you hire to do the job. You must feel comfortable with the contractor, and, perhaps most importantly, you must feel that they aren’t taking advantage of you and that they are going to follow through on the terms that are outlined in the contract that you sign with them. My wife and I found all of this and more with Hector Cabrera and his company, Emmaty. After we decided to move forward with residing our house, we researched companies in the area (we didn’t want to use a national chain) and my wife found Emmaty on Angie’s List. The overwhelmingly positive reviews really got our attention. Looking at Emmaty’s website, we also were impressed to learn that it is a family-owned company as Hector’s wife, Madeline, runs the business side of the company. That was a HUGE plus for us. When we saw the same type of reviews at the Better Business Bureau’s website, we knew we had to call for an estimate. Meeting Hector was a pleasure and we knew immediately that he knows what he’s talking about and is very passionate about his work. Within a few days of meeting us at our home, he returned with a quote to replace the siding and one leaky window, and have seamless gutters installed, all well within our budget. (Other quotes we had just for the siding were well above Emmaty’s, one as much as $12,000 more.) Along with the quote, Hector showed us a slide deck presentation on his tablet that explained the siding product they use, how the process works, and what we can expect. Hector’s crew is fantastic. They showed up on time every day and immediately set to work. They’re professional, courteous, and just don’t stop moving. Hector himself came by often to monitor their progress and check in with us to make sure we were happy with the work. He even helped install the gutters and cleaned up on the last day. To say we are happy is an understatement. Updating our home’s siding is something we’ve wanted to do for years and we are so excited and pleased that we hired Emmaty to do the job. Every day for the week they were here felt like Christmas morning because we’d walk around the house, marveling at how much work had been done and seeing the house being transformed. We cannot say enough about Hector, Madeline, and Emmaty. Customer service is THE most important factor for me when it comes to ANY type of business transaction, be it at a restaurant, store, or making a large purchase. If I don’t get good customer service, I’ll never return to that business. Hector and Emmaty are EXACTLY what we had hoped for in a contractor and we can’t wait for them to return in the spring to talk about replacing our home’s windows. We know the job will be done right by excellent people at a fair price.

Excellent - Hector Cabrera’s two man crew arrived early with the Pressure Treated Pine to replace the damaged trim sections. Hector’s carpenters painted one coat on the new trim panels & let them dry. They then advanced around the 3 story Colonial and removed the damaged trim. They them prepared the area beneath and measured & installed the new trim pieces & painted each installation with another 2 coats before proceeding to the next window. Most of the windows were on the first floor, but there were 3 windows on the other 2 floors which required ladders. When all 8 windows had their damaged trim replaced and painted, the men surveyed their work to make sure the trim matched pieces that remained on the windows. They invited me to check their work and it looked great, both the carpentry and the painting. Before leaving they cleaned up the driveway and the yard so that you couldn’t tell they had been there. Very pleased with the price and the quality of the work. Would definitely use Emmaty again and they do so many other things as well.

This was a small job but despite this Hector was very professional and thorough in describing the work to be done. He responded quickly to my request for a quote, got the job done on the spot, and charged a fair price. i would use Emmaty again for my roofing needs.

Hector arrived within 3 hours of submitting a web inquiry to provide a quote in person. After getting other quotes, we selected Emmaty. We were able to schedule the work within the next 10 days. He confirmed everything via email and voicemail. His team was very easy to work with.

I hired Hector Power Cleaning to clean my gutters last fall, and I hired them again to pressure wash my house. I am so glad I did. I was contacted by email the same day after purchasing a deal through Angie's List to set up the service appointment. I was kept informed of the team's arrival by text message the day of service. The crew showed up right on time, were so friendly, and did a great job. I will be using Hector and his guys again!

We were thrilled with the work that Hector and his crew did on our deck. After 5 years of self-administered staining and much mold on the deck and especially the railings, we were ready to let a pro handle the job. Our deck is large, multi-tiered and made of gorgeous mahogany, but that beautiful wood had gotten lost under the multiple layers of dark-colored stain I had applied over the years. Hectors crew came on time and the power-washing brought the original wood back to life. Hector then advised us to use a transparent stain so that the wood grain itself would shine through after staining. He was absolutely right. The staining happened a few days later and now deck looks like brand new. There were a few areas where the stain had run and discolored the white painted risers beneath the steps. We called Hector and his team came out ASAP and touched up the paint. That's customer service right there. The overall experience was terrific and the job was perfect. Thanks Hector and crew.

I contacted Hector's office in search of a quality service provider to powerwash the exterior of our house. Upon calling, Madeline in the office picked up and informed me that it would be best for Hector to come out and see the work to provide an accurate estimate and that she would follow up later that day to schedule. Just hours later that same day, Madeline informed me that Hector was in the area and I happened to be home! Hector and one of his team members walked the perimeter of the house with me indicating what areas he felt needed attention while being upfront about other areas that looked ok. We agreed on a price that was very fair compared to other estimates I received. Before leaving, I mentioned to Hector that I had a stone patio and firepit in the woods behind our home that could use a washing. Hector again quoted a very reasonable price and said he would have no problem getting all the way back there (nearly 100 yds from house). I read in other reviews that Hector did light exterior paint work and before letting him leave I had him quote a refresh of some of our exterior trim work. Again, Hector was reasonable and fair with pricing for this work. After continuing to add to the job, I added complexity by saying I needed the work done before my son's bday party which was the following weekend. Hector was able to come back the very next day to complete the work! In the end, Hector and his team completed a wash of the entire exterior of the house, parts of the roof that were shaded and had some moss/mold, washing the woodland firepit/patio and painting some of the exterior trim that needed it. The price was right and the house looks amazing. Communication with him and his team was seamless throughout and it helps that the entire team is so friendly, pleasant and honest. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone needing help with Power/Pressure Washing, Exterior Painting and/or gutter cleaning!!

Not only could they paint it, but they painted it well! Even before the painting, I walked outside and looked at my newly washed vinyl siding and vinyl deck and exclaimed "wow!" They did an excellent job of all parts. They even took a piece of the railing to the paint store so that they would match the color. I had checked with another company which had an A report card here on Angie's List but Hector's was much better by price and made me feel better. I should note for anyone who wants to get both of these done that the cost of the painting/staining is higher than the cost of the power washing. But even though painting isn't there primary job, the results look like it was. they pressure wash by actually using a chemical to melt off the mold/algae/whatever it is, then use water to rinse it away. They were professional, friendly, trustworthy, everything you look for in someone doing a big job. Excellent all-around.

The quote & scheduling process was easy and convenient. Madeline was responsive and helpful, even reminding me about the town-wide water usage restrictions. A call to the local water department cleared up the restriction, and we confirmed the service for Thursday October 4. On the date of service, Hector and his crew showed up on time, and got right down to work. They worked quickly, and did a thorough job. After the pressure wash was complete, Hector walked me around the exterior of the house & pointed out a few spots where trim boards were in need of replacement. All in all, I was very pleased with the level of service provided and would not hesitate to book future work with them.
