Hired them to install carpeting in three bedrooms and a master closet which was a big mistake. They installed the carpeting but did $1300.00 worth of damage to the bathroom tile on my master bath and gust bath room. This damage was done by pushing heavy furniture on to the tile floor. Then to add insult to injury that refuse to repair the damage as they state they can't touch flooring that they did not install even though they did the damage. They offered me 250.00 to have the floor repaired which is a joke as the tiles for the flooring is no longer available. Don't trust them as they have no regard for standing behind their work and just like to scam people. I will NEVER use their services again and will warn my whole neighborhood about their poor business practices.

We hired Empire to install new flooring in our home. While we are happy with the look of the floor overall, the after effects of this experience was NOT good. Our entire house, every cabinet, crevasse, pantry, glass, dish was covered in dust. It has taken us over a week to clean all of this up. However, the worst part was the damage to our walls and baseboards. Every single baseboard and even my walls were damaged. I am having to hire a painter to paint all the baseboards and repair dents in our walls from the damage the installers caused and this will be alot of $$. When I completed the survey after the install, I received a call from a woman named Amanda who should not be in customer service. She initially offered to help support the damages that were caused which was promising and then called back and just did not even care about the damages that were caused at all. I felt like the call with me was wasting her time. I will NEVER use Empire again. Ever. I would avoid using this service for your flooring. When you are spending this kind of money. Service matters.

This was installed so poorly the first time that they had to come back, rip it all out, redo the leveling and smoothing of the concrete flooring and then lay the floor again. To get this to happen was a huge challenge and a constant battle. There are still places that are not done well but it was not worth having them come back and do it again. Look elsewhere!!!

RUN AWAY!!!! Awful. I was told by the installation manager, Paul and the 2 installers Mark and Mike that no underlayment was to be used because it was built in to the vinyl plank we ordered. However, since the installers did not level or smooth out the concrete they put down, they used the underlayment to try and cover it up. It has taken a lot of hounding to try and get someone out to the house to look at this garbage and communication is totally worthless to this company.

We had two different and separate crews for the hardwood installation and the carpet install. Carpet install was first. The two installers were good and professional. The installation went well and was done in one day. They hauled off the old carpet and cleaned up well after their work. We are quite pleased with the new carpet, its quality and the installation. Hardwood install was more involved. Took 3 days. Installers were very nice and knowledgeable about their work. The job needed more leveling compound than the standard cost allows for. However, I believe this is not unusual as this is an 8 year old, well built home. So, the need for more leveling compound than is "standard" is probably more common than you might think. After the project was begun and workers had used the "standard" amount of compound, they told me (correctly) that the floor needed 10 more bags of leveling compound. Imagine my surprise when I found out that each bag costs FIFTY DOLLARS! Workers were told by the supervising boss that they needed to collect an extra $500 from me. I felt that was not a fair way to offer an estimate of work - to give a price and then come back and try to bill for another $500. I called and spoke with the project boss who offered to lower the cost of the compound as best as he could offer. I felt that was not the fair thing as I was paying $9000 plus for the wood and carpet project. I called and spoke with the BIG BOSS (somehow) at Empire Today who agreed to allow that extra amount be included in my original cost for the project. For THAT, I commend them! But be aware - if your floor is not perfectly level (and NO concrete slabs are!), you may be slapped with extra cost for more leveling compound. The salesman that came to the house to show samples and answer questions was nice and professional and had answers to questions helping us to decide on the carpet and wood. Hopefully, he can now admonish future customers of possible cost increases for leveling needs.

They were supposed to call with an estimated arrival time for the installation on the day of the install.  I never received a phone call so I  was left waiting and wondering when they were going to arrive.  Once they arrived the installers did the work and at the end of the day mentioned that they did not have all of the trim pieces necessary to complete the job and that they had contacted their supervisor to order the trim pieces.  So there was no trim between the laminate and carpet going into the bedrooms and no trim between the laminate and tile in the kitchen and entry way. They said someone would be in contact with me about when they would be back to install the trim. The installers did a minimal job to clean up and put furniture back. As they were getting ready to leave I had to ask the installers to trim the carpet going into one of the bedrooms because it was sticking up several inches and was a hazard.  As I was cleaning up what they left behind I found loose nails laying in my floor, minor damage to one of my walls, and damage to three of the newly installed pieces of laminate.  The following day, Saturday, I spoke to the general manager about my concerns and when they would be back to finish the job. He said to let the installers know about my concerns when they came back to finish the trim pieces and they would take care of it.  I was told they would be getting the trim pieces the following Tuesday and would call me to let me know when they would be back out.  I heard nothing on Tuesday and called Wednesday to find out what was going on. I was told they would not be getting the trim until Thursday and they would be out to install it on Thursday as well.  Thursday morning I got my first phone call from them letting me know they would be out to finish putting in the trim between 12 and 1.  When the installer arrived I showed him the places the trim needed to be installed and the piece of flooring that needed to be replaced.  He said he did not know anything about replacing any pieces of flooring and would need to call his supervisor.  The installer then told me a supervisor would call me the following day and come out to look at everything to be sure they could get it fixed properly.  At 11 Friday morning, a week from the original install date, I called to find out who was supposed to be coming out and when because I had things I needed to do.  It was at this point that I spoke to the general manager again and was told his notes about the damaged piece of flooring somehow were gone and that is why the installer did not know about it, that he did not know who the installer had spoken to about coming out to look at the job, and he said someone would be getting back with me.  He assured me, after I asked, that someone would contact me prior to the end of the day about scheduling a time to come out and review the job so they could get it taken care of for me.  Saturday morning, after not receiving the call on Friday, I called and had to leave a voicemail for the general manager.  I would really like to get what I paid for and get my house back to a complete and organized state. <br />

They were having a good sale. I felt like the carpet with the sales price was a little bit better grade than what I had gotten priced at other establishments. They were very professional. I would probably not use them again just because I don't have a large selection. While they were all those things, they didn't really offer me a lot of choices in my carpets and I'm kind of not really happy with the kind of carpet we got but that's on me and not really a reflection on them. As far as they did, they did what they said they said they would do and so they should get a good grade and so I would consider them again.

It went very well and there were no problems at all. They were here when they said they would be here, and they cleaned up after themselves. They did a good job. I don’t remember exactly what it was but I was happy with their price. It was very competitive. They came and did what I wanted and put it down. It seems to be fine and we haven’t had any problems with it.
