The service technician was friendly and professional. He discovered the problem and repaired it quickly. The price was reasonable and the problem has not returned. I would definitely recommend this company.

I called to set up an appointment, and as it was explained to me, I was under the impression that $50 was the cost to get a technician to come over and diagnose the issue. After the technician, who was unfamiliar with my dryer had to call other technicians to get their expertise, and an hour later - i was charged over $100 for them to tell me the electronics was "most likely" the issue and would cost more money to fix than would make sense, and better to replace. So they charged me for "labor" on top of the fee to get them to my house? $50 just to get to my house? I don't care what your overhead is, that is upsurd! If it was clearly explained to me that it would be $50 + a variable amount for the time, I would have told them I was not interested and would have just replaced the dryer. Also, they showed up hours before the agreed upon window - which made me reschedule work and hustle home. This is not how you do business - explain the costs CLEARLY up front and let the customer decide if its worth it.

"It was explained to you before we came out. We truly do not want or need customers that are rude and curse at our employees. Sorry things did not work out between us. We understand things are expensive and sometimes are not worth making repairs. We sell new appliances allow customers to $60 toward new appliances if they do to want repair if you spend $600. We are not the cheap company or the one guy shop that works out of a garage. We are half the price of big franchises. We also gave you a time frame between 1pm and 5pm. If we schedule after 5pm its after rates which you did not want to spend either. Again sorry but we definitely are not a match as a company to customer. We dont like to say this but every once in while we run into customers that are not a good fit for us. Angie's list is not about having cheap contractors it's about having great contractors that are reliable and do good job."

We had a three year old stand-alone ice maker, an Ice-o-matic that had developed black specks in the ice. I had followed the instructions for cleaning the unit but the black specks persisted. I called Energy Solutions Thursday afternoon and the lady at Energy Solutions said Nick would be able to visit the next day, Friday, between 1 and 5 pm. On Friday, Nick called and asked if he could stop by early but my wife was busy so Nick said he would arrive at 1 pm. Nick arrived, expecting to work on a refrigerator ice maker. Somewhere communication had broken down. However, Nick dove into the unit, using our cleaning fluids which he said he would have used had we not had our own, and cleaned the unit thoroughly. He said the black specks were mold. At one point he thought we might need to add an in-line water filter to fight mineral build-up but he found little mineral build-up so no filter was needed. Nick suggested professional cleaning every six months. My wife and I are very pleased with the results.

oven would shut off at high temps and door would lock. first visit reset controls to factory settings thinking power outages caused problem, service call fee only. Tried oven next day same problem as before. Called and they were out the next day. Diagnostics check revealed control panel was bad. Prepaid for order of new control panel. New panel was received and installed within 5 days with no additional service fees. Oven now works normal.

I found him to be very knowledgeable and quickly diagnosed the problem. The office staff was very polite and made to whole ordeal go very smoothly. I would definitely recommend them to anyone needing help with their gas lines or HVAC in general.

Darin's office set up an appointment since this was not urgent. He came out and checked out the unit and determined there may have been a noise during cycling on. This was under warranty and he looked over the unit and found a minor issue that needed to be addressed with the disconnect and he said he would schedule a visit to swap it out.

<p> </p> <p><strong>Estimate:</strong> Darin came out and looked over my system. I had the furnace replaced last year and he showed me how the system was installed improperly with restricted air flow with undersized filter assembly.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Contractor selection: </strong>After receiving estimates to replace the AC system and to fix the air flow problem, I decided to go with Energy Stars of St Louis in Dittmer, MO because of the knowledge and professional care. </p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Installation</strong>: Darin and Eric showed up on time at 8am in the morning. They went right to work and kept working until the project was done. The install took longer than they thought because they found the furnace vent tee was damaged and that it needed to be replaced along with a large section of the return air duct.</p> <p> </p> <p>The work included removing and replacing the coil, condenser, line set, filter housing, condenser fuse box and minor duct work. Additional work included replacing the furnace vent tee, return air duct and repairing some other ductwork. Even though they did this additional work there were no additional charges or fees. I like that! </p> <p> </p> <p>Darin and Eric were very friendly, great with the install and setting up of the system. I am very pleased with the install and their professionalism. They cleaned up after themselves and left the work areas just as they found it. Most of all the install was to code with high quality and professional care and a permit was pulled. I would highly recommend Energy Stars of St Louis. </p> <p> <br /> <br /></p> <br />
