The quality of work was outstanding.  He went above and beyond to make sure the work preformed was top notch.  I have a very unusual set of French doors leading to a side porch and it was a very time consuming project to weatherize these doors but he did a great job.  The problems I had all revolved around responsiveness.  I called to make an appointment the day I purchased the deal.  I got an appointment for the next week.  The provider had to reschedule the appointment.  This happened multiple times.  It ended up being more than 3 months after my original appointment before the work was done.  For one appointment that was rescheduled, I did not even receive a call prior to the appointment. <br />

We haven't had any problems with the doors or windows since he fixed them. The person was very professional and knowledgeable. Everything went very smoothly. <br />

The gentleman who came on site was prompt and professional. I assume he did a good job. That said, one reason I wanted the work done is because during especially heavy rain storms I have a window that leaks. My hope was that a good caulking job would fix the leak. Six months later we had such a storm and the window leaked just as badly as before. I understand of course that leaks are often not easy to figure out -- especially after the fact when everything is dry. As near as I can tell, the $530 investment was in no way recovered through savings on heat bills -- the service was advertised as a way to save energy in the cold months (and maybe the hot months for that matter as well). But the work that was advertised -- caulking around windows -- was done promptly and, as far as I can tell, done reasonably well. I checked the box that I would not have this provider do work in the future -- I would not have this provider caulk my windows in the future because in retrospect it doesn't seem like a great investment. I wouldn't rule out having this provider do other work. <br />

Angie's List really shouldn't schedule such "deals" late in the fall, when the weather can make it difficult (temps should be above 40 for doing outdoor caulk). So I guess now I'm better winterized for next winter. Bill stayed in touch over the winter, calling me several times to let me know that he would be out to do the work when the weather warmed (and dried) up, and that he would do some extra work (more windows) to make up for the delay, even though it wasn't his fault. I had no problem with any of that. <br />

Bill was extremely good in the job. He was prompt in responding to us. There were some confusions regarding the address and the service was first done at the wrong address. Bill the offered to provide the same service to us at no extra cost. He also matched the color of the caulk free of cost. Overall,a  very satisfied customer and we will definitely refer him to our friends :) <br />

Bill was great, prompt, professional, clean and did great work.  My only complaint is that the cost seemed high given the work done. <br />

They caulked all the windows that the Big Deal got me. They caulked additional windows, but forgot one. I found that the door they installed was frame bent upon installation. The paint on the frame is already peeling, and there are spots missed on the door. I have been trying to have the owner to look at the work since beginning of March.  <br /> The owner came to the house to review my complaints on March 26, 2013 and said he would come back to complete the caulking and check with the door company about the peeling frame.  The owner said they will touch up the missing spots on the door.  Still waiting for that to be resolved.

Overall, it was a good job.  He arrived on time, we went over what needed to be done and he worked like a pro....   I was very content with everything.... <br />

The worker was very courteous, punctual and efficient. He needed a ladder and a partner to reach one of the windows and assured me he would return within the week, and he did. Since the sealing was done, the house has definitely been warmer. <br />

Overall, I was very pleased. <br />

They did a very nice job and was very thorough.

With a deal there might be no communication before the deal $ is paid.  My fault. <br /> Job was way out of Mr. Beer's profit area milage wise.  If we had spoken before I paid he might not have taken the job.    <br /> The old petrified caulk was not removed but in the end it was so well covered that it really does not matter. <br /> Mr. Beer's told me what he would do and showed me where problem areas were. <br /> I am happy with the job he did.  Since I am so far away he did not even mention pricing up additional repairs he thought should be done but now I know what I am looking at for the next guy who comes along.  Thanks Mr. Beers. <br />

Bill Beer was very helpful when he arrived.  We walked around the house exampining where the worst draft-holes were.  Then he insulated all of the 10 we selected as well as a few other windows, where he could reach them.  Since this was done, not only is my home warmer, but I find that the insulation has helped cut down on the "stink bug" problems we have in Howard County.  I would definitely use his services again. <br />

They did not remove the old caulk before caulking over, nor did they mention that they needed for me to do so.  They did a very sloppy job with a few of the doors and windows with the caulk.  They "overlooked", did not do all the windows like requested.  They were on time and date, and did a few of the outside of the windows professionally. But, no, I would not recommend them.

The owner sent emails and called starting almost immediately stating that soon it would be too late in the season to complete the service.  <br /> The worker was wonderful.  He arrived on Saturday morning and introduced himself.  explained the process, described the purpose and asked for the windows and doors chosen to be pointed out.  We walked the house and then he immediately got to work.  Wonderful job and willing to accept critiques, although all mine was praise. <br />

Bill arrived early and proceeded to fix the caulking on several windows. He was able to get my door to close properly by adjusting the strike plate and replaced the weather stripping on the door frame to make it seal properly.  He also inspected another door that wasn't closing correctly from warping and provided me with new weatherstripping for that door.  I ordered a new door slab from him to be installed later.  I'm impressed with his knowledge and professionalism. <br />

Again, it went great. <br />

Bill came earlier than said. Got to work shortly after we confirmed the windows that needed to be sealed. CLeaned up after himself and was done with the work when stated. <br />

I got a prompt return phone call from Bill Beers. <br /> His business is very much in demand, which I took as a good sign! <br /> We were able to schedule the work to be done 2 weeks out from our phone call. <br /> This was a good experience from start to finish: I admired his professionalism and patience answering my questions. <br /> Bill arrived at our 2-story townhouse as expected. <br /> We did a walk through, where he thoroughly explained the work to be done, and why it was important. <br /> After completion, he cleaned up (a big plus!) <br /> I had a look at his work, and signed that it was done to my satisfaction. <br /> Our townhome is 15 years old, and we discussed replacing the windows eventually. <br /> I feel confident about going through him to have the windows done: I recieved literature and a price quote. <br /> I will shop around, but I feel that his price is good. <br /> (If I find a better price on the same windows, he will meet it. I was glad to hear that he hasn't had to do that) <br /> Since he did such a great job today, I will be calling Energy Wise Windows and Doors again. <br /> <br /> <br />

Everything went fine; he does meticulous work, and is very personable. <br /> I would certainly hire him for similar jobs in the future. <br />

What I really liked was I did not have to deal with a middle man.  This saved me a lot of money.  Also, he told me that I would save money on my energy bill which has been correct.  You deal directly with William Beer and not any sales associates.  Everything went really smooth with the entire process.
