ENVISION DESIGN -10 stars! If there were a worse star option I’d mark it! Very rude neglectful people owner and company! Period! Do NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I’ve tried many times to settle up where they’ve just dropped the job after they got all their money! They do not look back ever! Horrible! No integrity whatsoever! Horrible people to work with! No communication whatsoever! They do all their work by outsourcing and no one is licensed! “We paid for everything IN FULL!” they never looked back to complete the job! Envision Design; I’ve tried reaching out to them many times! NOTHING! This company does NOT CARE! I just came across this your information as it’s in my calendar every single month I see this! I thought I’d try one more time to get what we’ve already paid for that never was finished…the load bearing board they put up in our dining room doesn’t fit flat with the boards there’s a huge gap! That was an extra 1500 dollars! All the trim around walls dent in! Some kind of cheap round metal corners! Didn’t finish the baseboards! "all ac outlets need to be firmly attached to 2x4's" not pulling out of the walls whenever anything is plugged in or unplugged! The grout on the tile in the laundry room? It has never been repaired properly where it doesn’t just turn to dust and crumble away where there’s holes in it! Also the electrical on the stove, oven, microwave, refrigerator, bathroom, side all are on one Electrical line! It all cuts off at breaker overloaded! Too many things on one line! The breaker box was never marked where anything goes! It cuts out nonstop due to too many things connected to one line from the stove side of the kitchen, the grounded copper line is not up to legal standards! microwave, bathroom heater, all ac outlets cause the breaker to cut off too overloaded due to the electrical not being properly done! It’s caused the transformer to burn out in our brand new microwave which we’ve not been able to ever use since it was put in! I’ve called a repair guy out a couple of times to look at it! I tried over and over to have envision design correct these things but to no avail! It was your job at the time… idk if your even still in business! I saw you on Angi a couple days ago! I never did get the invoices on the purchased items I gave envision money to pay for separately for the apron sink, the chandelier I paid for… through Wayfair? I tried many times to retrieve. To no avail. Everything else seems ok! It’s too bad that the integrity of a company isn’t as thorough as they really should be! My oldest son died and then this pandemic started, life kind of took me away too far to deal with anything I should have! I just wish those things would be FIXED we paid to have them done properly but you guys just walked away… never looked back… you should have made sure all was well and good with the job your company did so you came through on your part as we came through and paid you in full...on ours! It sure would be nice for the job to finally be done correctly! Finished! On your end! We did pay for it all to be done! I hope to hear back from you... sincerely Lauren & Doug Ingle! Instead of us being left with a bitter taste in our mouths! Seriously bad news! from the work that was left undone! I’m posting this here again! I’ve tried reaching out to envision many times! Again lately I’ve heard ABSOLUTELY NOTHING FROM THEM! They got their money they don’t care at all about integrity or honor! They left us hanging! Bad company to do any business with! Trust me! They seem so nice! All fake!

Envision Design renovated our two bathrooms beautifully, in a timely fashion, and for a fairly reasonable cost. I had no idea what would look good (didn't get the decorator gene) but Rob helped us pick out cabinetry, tile, countertop, and paint. Their time and cost estimate, done professionally on a spreadsheet, was kept up to date and things pretty much happened as they were scheduled. They were also able to work around our schedule when necessary. Our new bathrooms look great and we are very pleased. Thanks, Envision Design!

On July 26, 2017, I meet with Mike, the project designer and estimator for Envision Design. Previously I had furnished my written requirements, like Hardybacker board, copper plumbing, etc. He assured me that they used only the finest materials like Kohler, etc., purchased directly for distributers, no Home Depot quality. Items he emphasized were tile, bathtub and shower pan. Initially a start date of August 7 was set, later he said it could slip to August 14, but no later. The house was occupied so the bathroom had to be done sequentially. With their extensive work crew each bathroom could be completed in a week. On July 27 I was required to issue a check for over $4,700 so the materials could be ordered. He gave me his business card assuring me he would always be there if any problems were to occur. Nothing, not even a phone call was received the week of August 7. This continued so on August 16 I call Mike, the receptionist answered stating Mike would call me back, he never called. During the project cycle, I called Mike 5 times, texted 6 times and email 2 or 3 times. He never responded to any of my requests. After he got my first check, everything changed. After several calls, the project finally started on August 23 and was completed September 22. There were numerous week days (Monday to Friday) when no work was done. The shower was the first thing replaced. The shower pan was installed on August 25. The deluxe shower pan that my July 27 check for over $4,700 paid for was delivered to the house on September 18 which a workman promptly hauled off. The installed shower pan is a standard model that was purchased at the local Home Depot. The Hardybacker board specified in my original requirements was not used for the shower walls. A cheaper product was substituted for Hardybacker. A NAHB study proved that this substitute produce is 46% faster to install than Hardybacker, cutting labor costs, another way to increase Envision Design profit margin. At the same time plumbing was required. Their recommended plumber’s bid seemed unreasonable. Obtaining 3 other bids for the same job, all were considerable less. I saved well over $1,000 by not using their recommended plumber. The one thing that Envision Design is very timely on is collecting their progress payments. I was intimidated/browbeat, by the owner, over the phone into making one payment prior to the work being started. I was basing the progress payments due on the statements Mike made on July 26, 2017, that is work completed.

As others have stated, the initial phase was all sunshine and rainbows. Everything I wanted was possible, and my timeline was easy. However, at the 10 month mark (remember, 200sq ft!!!) they were only half done. They then lost a payment, blaming me for "bouncing the check" and demanding more funds (this was an official check- which my bank has confirmed was deposited in their business account). I am now a year and a half out with an unfinished kitchen. If you value your house, your project or your time, AVOID ENVISION AT ALL COST.

The beginning and planning phase went very well. The actual instillation phase went way wrong. They said we'd have crews out and nobody ever showed up. It took weeks for crews to show up. The job itself is ok, but we feel like it should have been done 30 days sooner. They were very difficult to contact.

The General Manager (GM) overpromised and underperformed.
a. "With our project managers, you tell them what you want in the design one time and you do not have to talk with them daily to ensure things are being done right." Far from the truth, the folks on the ground were either not told key pieces of information or the wrong information during the project. My wife and I had to provide much more oversight then we wanted to.
b. "We have a cleaning service that will come in at the end to clean up the work area. All you have to do is move in your toothbrush!" Not in the contract. Not the truth. No cleaning crew. Clearly much clean-up to do after a month of construction.
c. Reviews online were not favorable for this outfit. The common theme was lack of communication which I addressed with the GM prior to signing with them. He ensured me that this was no longer an issue since they had several seasoned Project Managers (PM). Communication was spotty at best starting at the PM turnover and throughout the project.

Lack of design drawings. A hand drawing of the shower enclosure area was the only thing I saw prior to the start. There was not a drawing of the vanity, backsplash, medicine cabinet and storage cabinet area until I insisted that there be one about 2 weeks into the project. Though we bought these items from Ikea, the GM indicated they could install them. On more than occasion the PM let it be known that these were not the standard vanity/cabinets they usually work with. We provided detailed documentation on each piece to be installed 30 days prior to the original starting date of 7/6.
Turnover. Why a couple of days before starting we were given a new PM since they knew that our original PM was going on vacation? Turnover was done in about 30 minutes and the new PM did not take notes from the outgoing PM as he drew measurements on the walls/vanity that were then ripped out? Much more internal communication should have taken place prior to coming on-site.
Communication. This caused a few things to be redone as the PM was not conveying either the right information or no information to the site lead Eric. Electrical, plumbing, medicine cabinets, shower niche?
Quality: There is some poorly set tile; spatter from wall texture all over the water closet door, lots of minor imperfections that a true professional shouldn't be proud to have left.

Schedule. I was told from day one that there would be a posted schedule. I had to ask for this on day one, and it was rough at best. Not something I would expect from a professional organization. The PM and I agreed to allow for a few days extra for unforeseen issues. We agreed upon 4 weeks, but would probably be done sooner. Total time was 23 business days (4.5 weeks). Of these 23 days, 4 days were for demolition. This should have been reduced to 2 days, with the right amount of resources focused on the task at hand. Approximately 14 days were for tile and grout for less than 200 sf of field tile and 40 sf of penny tile.
Overall, the project took too long, itshould have been done in about 3 to 3.5 weeks. The PM was very pleasant and seemed knowledgable but forgot an appointment and often didn?t specify when he was coming to the house.
What went well:
The daily workers (tile, electrical, paint) were very respectful of us and the house.
They cleaned up after themselves fairly well and closed up when finished.
Eric & Jeff (tile) were very good with some of the changes, whether we made them on the fly or due to lack of communications from the PM. Eric gave us some good ideas w/respect to the backsplash and water closet accent. Easy to work with.
Manuel (electrician) worked very well as he also did plumbing, furniture assembly on top of his electrical. He went above and beyond by ensuring we knew if he was leaving the job site for lunch or going to pickup parts.
Mike R. & Jorge were great and worked until the job was done well.
Costs were good as the total project was less than $15K (including the cost of furniture and the glass shower enclosure), while we had 2 other quotes that were above this figure.
Post support by Ty.
The stairway railing (metal) turned out beautifully. It was much better than I expected. I wanted something that was different from the norm, as far as design, and it turned out great. The curves and angles were graceful, beautiful and artistic. The gate adaption to allow for moving large pieces of furniture up and down the stairs (without removing the entire railing each time) was worked smoothly into the design and is quite functional. This turned out to be my favorite part of the entire project.

The bathroom vanity tops (quartz) and fireplace surround (marble) installations so went surprisingly quickly and smoothly. They were able to remove the old counter tops without damaging the walls or even the mirrors that abutted right against them.
Probably the hardest part for them was trying to get things done around my rather difficult and irregular work schedule. They pretty much were limited to 1 day each week (not even the same day each week) yet it still moved along quite well. All 3 projects took less time than it took for a different company to replace my kitchen counter top (also quartz) 2 years ago.
The result was functionally and aesthetically perfect. It took longer and was more expensive than I anticipated, but I'm very satisfied given the results. What impressed me the most was once I provided a vision, both Scott the owner and Rob the project manager provided options and suggestions that enhanced the vision, based on their many years of experience, to perfect the vision. For example, moving the toilet, adding lights in the shower, tiling the shower ceiling. Also, every time I said "is it possible to...", the answer was "yes", if it made sense. All work was performed perfectly, and has held up - the plumbing, tiling, electrical, shower door, all perfect, and as a perfectionist I know perfect when I see it. So the extra expense gives you a 1 year warranty, expert design advice, great workmanship. Well worth it if you want perfect results. Both Scott and Rob were very personable and easy to interact
with. I will be using Envision Design for my next project.

We went to their beautiful showroom. They were very professional, presented a scope of work. They were diligent in making sure that the sink we wanted was installed and that the cabinets were the best choice before installing them. Once installed they were ready to make any small adjustments that needed to be made as soon as possible.
My husband is a Quality Engineer so he has a keen eye for catching details. Envision Design made every effort to ensure our complete satisfaction. In the end, it was well worth it. The kitchen came out beautiful. When some people saw our kitchen, the first thing they said was "Wow".
It takes a village to remodel a kitchen. The Envision Design staff and crew did a quality job for us.

Worked with Ty to pick out granite and tile, went to a granite yard only to find the granite I wanted not available, so picked another that was very close. Gave me a detailed estimate in their offices, but was somewhat taken aback about how much more this was than the original estimate at my home. Robert was in charge of actually work. Was told that the job would take 5-6 days; it took 18 days, during which time I did not have the use of the kitchen (no sink, stove/oven, dishwasher, etc.), so had to eat dinners out. Work proceeded very slowly, and many days not much got done, including 3 weekdays when they did not come at all. The granite installers made a major error in installing a short granite backsplash on both areas of countertop, which then had to be ripped out and replaced with the full height (to the cabinets) granite on one wall and tile back splash on the other. Continuously given daily estimates of what would be accomplished the next day, only to find that little of this plan actually was done. When work was finally completed, it was satisfactory and according to the original plans.
