They did a fantastic job! We have had driving rain since the installation and our basement is bone dry. They came on time, were very polite and I'm very happy with the fast train system they installed.

Mixed review I had spoken with other radon remediation companies and received quotes before meeting with Erickson Foundation Solutions. The salesman, Chris, seemed much more thorough in his approach and he gave a presentation explaining radon, its danger and the process to remove it. The quote was slightly higher than another quote, but I felt more confident. And with the added fan moisture guard, the system came with a 10-year warranty. So I agreed to the proposed plan and paid a deposit. Later I decided to not install concrete in the adjacent (but not connected) basement/crawl space. I asked Erickson to quote installation of plastic sheeting to seal that space. John, the sales manager’s quote doubled the total price. I already had found durable plastic sheeting for about $300. So how would that become $2000 extra? John explained that there would be a drainage mat under the plastic and it would be attached every few inches to the walls and then sealed with caulking. But besides sealing the area, the quote also included another extraction hole and piping to connect it to the fan. This seemed to me like over-kill for a 1200 square-foot house. But he said without the second extraction location, they would not warranty the job. So I accepted the “up-sell” and signed. Today the office called to tell me when the crew would arrive and they arrived on time and were very pleasant. However, they did not have the drainage mat. They called their supervisor and was told that it was not included in the quote and would be an additional charge. In fact it had been a verbal inclusion, not written. The crew was surprised that a second extraction hole was quoted, since the radon levels were not very high to start (3.8 and 5.4). So I feel that I accepted a possibly unnecessarily elaborate system, more elaborate than I probably really need, for twice the price. And didn’t receive the drainage mat that I was told would be part of it.

Took waaaay to long. 6 months, albeit, we started in late November but it was the nicest winter in history. Promise was late February for completion. I finally conceded in June that they had finally met all contractual obligations. There were several reasons it took so long from my point of view: not showing up when they say they are, poor workmanship requiring lots of rework (all caught by me, not the so called Project Manager), no dedicated project manager, unclear instructions/requirements flowed down to the contractors sent to do the work, company too focused on the next jobs instead of completing this one, etc..I could go on and on...Damaged my driveway and blamed the driveway even though I asked upfront if there would be any harm to it. "No we do this all the time" was the response. Damaged my neighbors lawn and I'm still fixing that. Overall, a bad experience. I'd rate them a "D" but they did eventually fix most of the quality problems. The rest I have, or will take care of. Cutting the ties with this contractor. Would not recommend.

It went very well!  Matt was very personable and relaxed.  His presentation was very thorough.  I was very impressed. <br />

Matt came to us with a great cost estimate and was very honest and up front about the pricing. He explained all of the options we had and budgeted us for a certain dollar amount per project so we could adjust it as necessary. He didn't mind when I did my own "independent research" and came back to him with tile questions, paint questions, opinions on 10-lit vs 15-lite doors, and helped us fit the projects into our budgets. His crew as professional and neat, and they even took time out to educate my about the process and what they were doing each day. I learned a lot and we now have a wonderful shower and matching tiled tub, a beautiful open air basement room which was once two, and french doors to keep our heating costs down for the rest of the winter! We only wish we had put those doors in sooner! This is a local, family-run business, and Matt deals with local vendors and manufacturers. He made crucial decisions to change vendors when the original ones could not meet the timelines, and we appreciated that a lot. We are going to use him again for some outdoor porch and deck projects this summer.

We worked with Erickson Construction for about an 8 week period. They were very flexible with their scheduling to accommodate back order situations with some of the bathroom fixtures we ordered that added 4-5 weeks to the overall timeline. Their suggestions about the layout, design and fixtures were very helpful. We were offered options with ways to cut costs and were advised when upgraded materials would save money in the long run. <br /> Our overall experience with Matt Erickson and his team(the employees and sub-contractors all seem to be related -- a real Family business) was a pleasure in every way. The house foundation has some issues due to settling that caused some challenges with the walls, door frames, and finish woodwork. The carpenters had answers for all of the obstacles and difficulties that our house presented along the way. We are very happy with the results and are eager to share our experience with everyone who sees our new Family Room and 2nd Bathroom. The estimates were accurate and the quality of workmanship is of the highest quality. Their honesty and integrity made us feel like we were always their top priority. We would recommend them to any of our family and friends looking to undertake a home improvement project. <br />
