The job was finished on time and within the agreed price range. They even did a little extra finish work without charging extra, It was a condo with many building regulations concerning remodeling. There were no building issues, and they cleaned up all debris.

Ivaldo and his crew were awesome! The quality of the work was outstanding and communicating with them was very easy and extremely responsive. I would often text with Ivaldo and I would usually get a response back within the hour. It was also very refreshing to have a crew that was interested in making sure we were happy at each step.

The work was done to perfection. All of the workers were prompt and courteous and clearly took pride in their work.

Ivaldo and his team worked fast and with focus on quality. The footing for the porch was beyond what the drawings called for. Since the front porch was sagging and causing a sag in the roof line, extra focus was placed on shoring up the roof rather than just finishing the porch. The final result is a clean and sturdy new front to the house.

It went great - the place looks amazing.

We are extremely pleased with the work. We are a small self-managed condo association that hired Escala Construction to complete a number of projects, several of which were city mandated. Ivaldo did an outstanding job of managing the requirements and oversight of the city as well as the special requirements of our condo association to obtain detailed documentation of the work and to follow specific payment plans. He provided references and estimates beforehand, timely and open communication in regards to any new findings or possible solutions during the work, and cleaned spaces afterward. Ivaldo was excellent about providing the longest lasting, highest quality solutions that fit our budget.

Given my architect's drawings, Ivaldo provided a very reasonable quote and stuck to it. There were several times where we needed to add on or make changes, and the price was always very reasonable for these upgrades. We also had some challenging foundation work and no room to bring in big equipment, and Ivaldo had a lot of experience dealing with these challenges, which played a big factor in hiring him. Later, we had some major scheduling issues with the utility company (Eversource) that complicated the schedule quite a bit, and were totally out of our control. These delays made the process somewhat stressful but none of this was any fault of Ivaldo's. His guys were courteous and respectful. Quality was also very good other than one issue with tiling, but Ivaldo will always make good on anything that you're not happy with. They'll get the job done, and charge you what it costs plus a reasonable rate for themselves. Overall, a full gut renovation is a major undertaking, and nobody should expect something this big to be smooth and stress-free. I have no regrets in hiring them and plan to call them back when the house needs work.

We also took the opportunity to upgrade the kitchen lighting and back splash. Ivaldo and his son, Angelo (who did the work) did a great job pricing the job and even had an electrician they worked with do the lighting installation. Very nice and professional people and we would most certainly call on them again for other jobs we have planned at our house. It's comforting to know that there are still honest service people out there! <br />

This was an insurance job that resulted from my rental property being flooded by the neighbor upstairs.  Everything was done in a couple of days. The kitchen , living room and laundry areas where the work was done was left spotless.  Ivaldo had several of his folks working on this job . As always the job done was of good quality and done in a timely manner. I also liked is that  Ivaldo stuck to the quote and  never went over budget.

lIvaldo, as well as his staff are  punctual and professional. The work was always of good quality and was done on time. The work site at the end of the day was never left dirty. The guys would always clean up. We don't live in the wealthiest part of Newton and so are always on lookout for  services that have great value. Ivaldo and his company provides such service.  In addition to services provided Ivaldo was always happy to give a re-modeling advise or provide any other suggestions that would later prove useful. <br /> I would certainly hire them again and would definitely recommend to my friends. <br />

Escala Construction did our foundation for our new home and then did the siding. I was very satisfied with the completed job. The crew were great and friendly. They did an excellent job and I would definitely recommend Escala construction to anyone.

The contractor added a second floor to an existing home. The addition consisted of: adding  a  TV /Family room, a master bedroom with a walk-in closet and a master bathroom. Remodeled our kitchen, replacing our old tile floor with hardwood floor, added new deck and a sun-room. Overall, My wife and I are very happy with the quality of the work, and manner in which Mr. Ivaldo; the Owner; conducted his crew and performed the tasks at hand. I would highly recommend him and definitely would use him again. <br />

The above described work was done over a period of 3 years. During that time the quality of the work has been very good, project costs very reasonable, and schedules adherence excellent.  <br /> While painting the exterior of my house, a large section of rotted siding / fraing was uncovered. The unexpected repairs were done quicly, efficiently, without any change order mark-ups, all as part of the project. <br /> Replacing the windows at the church property required gaining access to 2 units rented out to 3rd parties. There wwere never any issues raised about costs / schedule delays that may have been impacted due to the need to coordinate with the tenants. Replacing all of the siding on the church owned apartment building (done in a historic district) was done professionally, with high levels of concern for safety (both for the workers and the public in the vicinity of the work area), cleanliness,and proper execution of the work. <br /> Working with Ivaldo is more of a partnership where the goal of completing the job is considered paramount, not the profit at the end of the work. When applicable, Ivaldo has also offered alternative means of completing a given task which will cost the owner less, thus less income for Escala, but as I tried to indicate earlier it seems the "relationship" is more important to Ivaldo than short term profits. <br />
