I highly recommend Essential Plumbing and Sewer. We were in desperate need of immediate help when the water would not shut off in the bathtub. The immediate situation was to turn off the water supply valve for the entire home. This unfortunately meant that we were unable to use any water or bathroom facilities. Add a small baby into the mix and this escalated into an emergency situation. We found Essential Plumbing and Sewer on Angie’s List and read all the great reviews. They did not exaggerate because from my first phone call to Maria who was amazing. She understood our desperate situation and set up a quick appointment. She sent Fernando who was such a nice guy and so personable and he quickly replaced the cartridge in our bathtub. I can tell you for sure that for any plumbing needs in the future we will definitely use Essential Plumbing. Thank You

Essential came out, and we paid $450 to have the line video reviewed. We were then given an estimate to have our line repaired. I have texted, called, and sent emails several times to Maria at Essential, and she refuses to every get back to me. I guess they do not want our business.

Showed up a few hours after calling, plumber put on shoe covers to not track dirt into house. Investigates issue with pump, to figure out problem. He had all neccesary parts, equipmnet including pump in the truck and had the pump working in a timely mannor. took the time to clean up. Fernando was very friendly, curtious, and professional. <br> <br>I had also used the same company when we had sewage waist back up into our basement, they came out very quickly and and got it fixed for a resonable price. <br>

Fernando has done a few projects for us. He always does a great job and charges a very reasonable price. In this case, he worked around our schedule and even worked quietly so that he did not wake up napping children. He also recommended that we not get anything done until the issue happened again. He stopped by while he was in the neighborhood just to see whether the problem had cleared itself up. When the issue did reappear, the service was perfect. I will definitely recommend him and use this company in the future. <br>

This is the second time we've used Fernando, and he is great - fast, responsive, professional, and effective. He's super friendly and (as far as I can tell) very good at what he does. I ask a lot of questions, and he genuinely seems to enjoy explaining stuff to me...even to the point where I might be able to do some of these things myself in the future. That's a huge plus! We'll definitely hire him again. <br />

Not good. He was going to take a saw to my tub drain and I said no. Basically, after a no show and a late show I got a brass plug that attaches to nothing and sort of plugs the tub. Fernando is onto bargaining, so don't pay the quoted price. He did fix the workings in a toilet, but I had to ask to get the flapper included, which was the real problem. Not an Angie's list candidate. Somebody's writing fiction on their reviews. Cousins, maybe.

"On the first appointment we went and made a small repair at no charge for the service visit or for the repair. A second appointment was established and the customer called and changed the date. He threatened us that if we did not go fast enough he would give us a negative review on Angie’s list, “You will not like what I will say about you guys on A.L.” I knew that if I didn’t go the review would be bad, regardless. Mr. [removed member name] did not let me do my job. First of all, he called the plumber after he had tried working on it and while I was there he was telling me what do and how to do it. I re-built the powder room toilet and I gave him a brass/gold pop-up assembly for the 2nd floor tub, that alone with a special order cost was $60.00 and he didn’t even let me install it. For all of this he paid us $100. Why does he not mention how much he paid for this service? $100.00, other companies in the industry or most companies just charge this just to go out to your house. Remember the first appointment was at no charge. We do not bargain, he was the one who paid us what he wanted to pay. It is very unfortunate you go out and do your best and Mr. [removed member name] believes it is not good enough. We treat every customer with professionalism, integrity, & respect, EVERYONE! In simple English some people take advantage. There is no doubt in my mind that this customer is a “cousin” or “brother” of one of our competitors. In my opinion this is a clear case of sabotage. We did exactly what he asked us to do and he paid us exactly what he wanted to pay. He was advised of our rates and he said no, I am going to pay $100. We accepted it just to make him happy."

I called two plumbers on a Monday and Maria at Essential Plumbing called me back right away. She said that she could have her plumber out that day, later in the evening to accommodate my work schedule. Fernando showed up right on time at 6:30pm and looked at the clogged disposal. He tried to run the rooter but it wouldn't snake through so he checked the pipes in the basement. He determined that the pipes had been replaced fairly recently but incorrectly, as it was perfectly even, when it should have been pitched to allow gravity to push the water and food down. He said he could come back Thursday to replace the two pipes for around $800. I also asked him to look at my shower that was clogged at the same time. <br /> I got a quote the next day for $1080 for all of the work done, including Mondays visit and booked him for Weds. He arrived at 11am, worked til 3:30pm and it was all done quietly, cleanly and quickly. The pipes were totally jammed with food and needed replacement badly. Fernando explained very clearly what the issue was and what he had done to fix it. He was very courteous and considerate. He also unclogged the shower drain very quickly. <br /> I would certainly call him in the future. <br />

I called Essential Plumbing because my hot water heater was leaking all over the basement. Maria answered phone and told me she would call back in a few minutes with an estimated time of arrival. She called back in five minutes and let me know that someone would be there within the hour. Fernando arrived in 40 minutes. Evaluated the situation and determined that the hot water heater needed to be replaced. Since we have two water heaters, he explained that we could survive with just one but recommended replacement suspecting that the second water heater would give out in the short run. I appreciated having the option to replace or not replace. I chose to replace the water heater. Essential Plumbing had the water heater in their truck and was able to replace immediately. Price was reasonable. Fernando and Saul were friendly, reassuring, and professional. They also cleaned up all of the water on the basement floor. All of the work was done in 90 minutes. This is the second time I have used Essential Plumbing. We required their services a few years when we had water leaking through our kitchen ceiling. Fernando took the time to thoroughly explore the issue and was able able to solve the problem With an easy fix. Our second floor shower piping had not been properly secured. I truly believe it was his willingness to take the time to get to the root of the problem that saved us hundreds of dollars. I would highly recommend Essential Plumbing! <br />
