I mostly interfaced with Anthony but did speak with John and the company receptionist. All were very pleasant, professional, and super easy to work with. Anthony was understanding, patient, and helped me decide which work should be prioritized in order to stay within my budget. The Essex & Morris work crew arrived as scheduled, did excellent work, and didn’t leave a mess afterwards. I wish I had known of them the first time I had mason work done at my home as I wouldn’t have had to settle for inferior workmanship. My apologies to E&M for not writing this review sooner. The sidewalk sections and driveway asphalt paving were excellent! I highly recommend using Essex & Morris.

Wow! Anthony and his crew were great! Had to wait a few weeks to get the project started, but showed up as promised and delivered excellence! His crew worked sun up to sun down to get everything done on time. Bond posted and permit with town all went smoothly. The coordination of cement truck and even helping lower water & sewage pipe in driveway was no issue. Anthony demonstrates absolute professionalism and is a real pleasure to work with. I would recommend him over and over again to anyone in need of a new driveway/walkway/ or garage floor!

Essex and Morris did an exceptional job taking our dated, crumbling front property and making it look like a new home was built. The end result was a beautiful new concrete side walk, asphalt driveway, paving stone walk way and refaced front porch. The demolition and reconstruction of the entire project was timely and discrete, communication was very open. The entire team from the guys on the crew right up to John Trezza Sr himself were all professional and very pleasant to deal with from a business standpoint to a simple “Good Morning” each day. I would highly recommend Essex and Morris to anyone looking for a project of our size, or smaller or bigger, that wants a group they can trust with an end result you’ll love for years to come.

The work turned out far better than I thought and in less time than I thought it would take. John Trezza had a heavy duty crew that were terrific and never stopped. I was amazed by the 5 men tore out the old mess and each one of the 5 clearly new what they had to do. They all work continually and never got in each others way. Each of the 5 certainly knew what their work was and how it was going to come together. And they were gracious and pleasant at all times. Even when I asked the dumbest questions!!

I contacted John and he came to discuss the project with me that same day. He then provided an estimate the next business day. I told him my project was time sensitive and he was able to fit me in during the exact window I requested. The results are gorgeous and perfectly executed. The experience could not have been better.

John and his team did an excellent job. John always answered my calls/text and kept me well informed of the whole process. He worked around my schedule. His team was very professional. They were always on time and kept the work area very neat. I will definitely give him a call for the next project. They removed the old driveway and retaining wall, installed a new drain, installed a new retaining wall, put down base layer, and then a new asphalt driveway.

The job went great. My driveway was a mess, with 2 -3 layers of significantly aged, crumbling asphalt. Additionally there were divots and mounds caused by tree roots at the driveway entrance. John and team coordinated seamlessly with the township's tree removal service to trim back roots. Re-seating the Belguim block was a quality effort.. Driveway was prepped and left to settle a few days. 2.5 inches of asphalt (many proposals where 2 or even 1.5 around the same price range) . The crew was experienced, professional, & courteous. Overall I'm pretty happy.

Professional Questions and concerns, John answered them. John followed through via text or a phone call. He went over the details of our driveway at least 2x. Showed us samples of belgium block (we upgraded from our original quote). Our driveway was completely removed (see attached pictures). Final product, the asphalt was laid flush with the belgium blocks (see attached pictures). PS; I found Essex & Morris Contracting Co Inc on Angie's list!

John Trezza showed up the first time, at the time we agreed. He was pleasant and thorough, answering any questions we had. He returned a complete detailed proposal within two days. After the job was started, it was completed in five working days. We were very satisfied with the entire process from start to finish.
