Elias Evans and his co-worker, Alex, arrived on time and immediately got to work demolishing the downstairs bathroom floor by quickly removing the carpet and sub-floor and preparing it for the new tile surface.
Five hours after he arrived the new tile floor (48 square feet) had been installed. The following day Elias arrived on time and finished installing the baseboard, the new backsplash and completed all the grouting.

On the third day he arrived on time and finished cleaning all the new tile surfaces and applied a sealer.

Elias did an excellent job and finished the project on time and within budget -- just as he had promised. His rates were excellent and we believe he gave us great service and value for the money we spent.

Again, we strongly recommend Elias Evans and plan to use his company's services again in the future.x,
Elias and his crew were incredibly professional, punctual and right on target. They did an amazing job getting everything done in a timely manner and worked well with the other subs in the space at the same time. I would highly reccomend him and his team for any tile project!

"The member was a great client to work for. He kept the lines of communication open during the whole process. Communication is key to keeping remodels running smoothly. This was a great project and the final product turned out amazing."

If you want to be frustrated, frightened, have things go missing and have your home trashed call Evan's Tile and Remodeling. What was quoted to be a three day job turned into almost a month. Granted we did say to install on the weekends but we quickly changed that to get things moving. The owner is Extremely slow to perform any work and is sloppy with his work. I (the homeowner) had to lay down moving blankets to protect my hand scrapped acacia hardwood floors. And once I saw how messy he really was I resorted to buying a roll of contractor construction paper to protect my floors and plastic drop cloths to protect my cabinets. Because Elias wasn't conscientious enough or professional enough to provide that as a service. He waisted my granite tiles by installing them in the wrong direction and removing them meant breaking them or just throwing away the tiles that I had spent money on getting them edged. He (Elias the owner of Evans Tile and Remodeling) was painfully slow during the installation process. For example he showed up at 1pm on day and proceeded to talk outside of my home for 30 minutes about another project- I resorted to waving to him from a bedroom window to let him know that I knew he was there. When he finally got off the phone I had to talk to him about punctuality and getting to work and professionalism. I told him that when you show up to do a project for a customer that you need to get to work at your scheduled time. His response was that he had to solve that problem right away. My response was get them to call you back at an agreed time after you finish my project. He also dumped some grout powder in the grass of my back yard where my child plays and where we were going to plant fruit trees and install a playhouse. When I confronted Elias on this he said -where was I supposed to put it? My response was -in a trash can or trash bags. I expected him to use his shop vac to suck up all of the grout powder. He then said that his shop vac didn't work. The next day that was his number one job - to suck up the powder and like a miracle the shop vac that he said didn't work, all of a sudden started to work. I thought to myself complete laziness and stupidity. He also had to clean up grout powder in several spots on our driveway. I had asked him to remove a section of backsplash because the grout lines were visibly crooked. (this area took approximately six sheets of backsplash tile). I am glad he started over in that spot. Elias had called for more help and Shane and Alfredo showed up. Elias never told me of the extra installers and when Shane and Alfredo showed up they just opened my back door and came in. That scared the h*** out of me and I let my husband know what had just happened. My husband had to take time out of his busy work schedule to deal with yet another problem from Evan's Tile and Remodeling. Elias and his poor communication skills were not setting the right expectation and Shane and Alfredo could have knocked on the front door or rang the door bell to set an example of courteous professionalism. To give credit where its due- Shane and Alfredo were accurate, fast and conscientious. Shane was the one that figured out my backsplash design behind the range where Elias had no clue. BUT here's what killed Shane and Alfredo's review I just gave. The fact that they just opened my back door and the incident of the missing basket weave travertine tile. Shane and Alfredo had just cleaned up after themselves and took some barely used left over sheets of this basket weave tile. I had to run outside to catch them before they took off in their separate cars. I was planning to use the leftovers in a different spot in the home. I had asked Alfredo and he responded with "mmMmm". I had asked Shane where my basket weave tile went and with a guilty look on his face he took it out of Elias's van where it was buried under junk. I asked Elias why my tile was in his van? He responded that he felt the guys didn't know and thought it was junk. I also asked Elias why he was in my garage- and he responded that he was looking for more tile. Mind you I had set out all of the materials on the countertops in the kitchen. (I'm not a professional tile estimator but Elias was making a big deal out of six sheets of tile that I was short). I responded that if he hadn't messed up in this one area of backsplash and waisted more of my material then maybe there would have been enough tile sheets to finish the job. I said if I have to go get some more tile I would have to get all of you guys out of my home and drive to the place where I had bought the tile. I was by myself with my child and my dog. My husband was at work. So Elias went to pay for more tile and I had to stay on high alert and watch them until they were finished. Elias said that he was going to charge me and then after my husband spoke to him again he said that he was doing me a favor by not charging me for the extra sheets of travertine tile. And not to mention Elias tells me on the last day of the project that my outdoor outlet doesn't work. This is the same outlet he was using to plug in his tile saw and his shop vac. I took work away from him because I was just disgusted with the overall experience. My only recommendation is to NEVER use this company.

Elias and his crew were fantastic. I have been remodeling homes for 20 years and if all ( or any) contractors were as professional and competent, we would all shout for joy when we needed to find one. They were on time, courteous and most of all their work was beautiful. Pricing was very competitive. I feel like I got a great deal of quality for my money.
I wouldn't even consider using anyone else for tile work in the future.

"We really enjoyed working for the Customers. They are great people, and the project went really smoothly. As you can see in the before and after pictures this remodel was quite the transformation!"

I worked with a designer and had purchased the cabinets and appliances. I needed a contractor to do the installation. I asked Elias for an estimate after a friend recommended him highly.

We estimated a 5 week project. The total elapsed time was longer, primarily due to a delay in delivery of the countertop. The actual project time was fairly close to the estimate.

Elias and his team were conscientious and meticulous with details. When we encountered unexpected problems, Elias just worked to resolve them to my satisfaction.

I was very happy with the work performed by Evans Tile and Remodeling. I am especially happy with the backsplash. Elias helped me design it and find the perfect tile. They did a great job installing it.
