No one has come by to service our pool since May. I pay them $79 on the first of each month. They have had no problem taking my money, however, I am not receiving services in return for it. I hope everything is going OK for the owner. Up to this point, my grade for them would have been all A's. I am concerned however about how I am going to get my money back for the months where I did not receive service as I have received no response from the company.

Matt started out by promising that we would have a stable <br /> and knowledgeable crew almost all of whom were relatives. That lasted until the weather started to warm <br /> up. We were getting a different guy each <br /> week and the last few started putting chemical in my saline pool that threw <br /> everything out of whack. We started <br /> getting algae for the first time since we had the pool installed 5 years <br /> ago. I think Matt has expanded far <br /> beyond his ability to manage, is sub-contracting out way too much, he doesn?t <br /> return phone calls or emails and blew off an appointment he had to work on my <br /> filter motor. <br /> <br /> <br />

Terrible. :( I read the original reviews a year ago which were all great but, as you can see, there are more and more bad reviews... We started our service a year ago, and just now terminated. It started out bad (several weeks where we had a no-show)... Matt appologized, and we figured that "it happens to everyone at some point"... so we continued.. Then Matt started to subcontract to other people and its gotten worse and worse, our pool formed Algae. We changed to another services this week... the new person showed us the following: <br /> 1. There was NO Chlorinei n the pool! <br /> 2. The filter pump was completely backed up.. he had to tug hard to get the stuff out of it. <br /> I dont recommend this company... there are many other good providers to choose from. <br />

Matt determined the problem quickly, and fixed it, and got the pump working again.. He also tightened down all electrical connections in the power box, and adjusted the Polaris unit. Did much more than asked or expected. Would definitely recommend. <br />

**UPDATE** <br /> <br /> Unfortunately i need to update my review. <br /> <br /> The initial installation went very well. Matt was a pleasure to work with and took the time to explain everything to me. There were some bumps, like he ordered the wrong item for the screenlogic (iPhone remote access), but overall the install went fine. He even cleaned the filters and fixed my lighting at no extra charge. <br /> <br /> The problems started to occur post installation. The Screenlogic stopped working and after several attempts and more effort then i would have liked to get him out he called the Pentair support team. They were fantastic and fixed the issue which turned out to be a firmware issue with the Pentair hardware Not something Matt could have fixed but it took a while to get the right people out. <br /> <br /> Next, two leaks developed in the new piping. I eventually got him to come out and he fixed one but his attempt to fix the second (intake to the new pump) he sprayed a bunch of yellow foam all over and beside making a mess it did very little. <br /> <br /> The final issue was probably the biggest. I finally had the solar pool people come out b/c my solar was NOT getting anywhere near temp. After looking at it the solar person realized the temperature sensor was connected to read the water coming down instead of going up to the roof, so it always thought it was near temp and kept turning on and off. Instead of trying to get Matt back out i just paid the solar company to fix it. <br /> <br /> And for the leak going into the pump i finally fixed it myself with some silicone. <br /> <br /> I like Matt personally and things got off well, but given what's happened since and the challenges in getting him back out i'll likely look elsewhere in the future.

Matt has done various extra jobs for me that pertain to maintaining my pool. A pump replacement that was required resulted in a reduction in my electric bill....just as he said it would. Also, I had a light out in the pool that three other companies said they could not fix. Some tried and could not fix it because they couldn't get the wiring out due to too many "U" turns in the wiring. Matt said he could fix it and I had my doubts. He came and had it fixed and working in about 1 hour! <br />

My pump was leaking and getting worse. I had used Matt before and he did a good job. I gave him a call and he came over, checked out the pump and said I need a new one. When he told me the price, I decided to try to fix the pump myself. So after spending $375.00 on parts, the pump lasted a few more months before it seized. I called Matt and he came over on a Saturday to replace the pump. I should have listened to Matt in the first place. Now I have a super-quiet, energy efficient pool pump. They even cleaned the pool before they left. Just call Matt.

Matt was able to come out within a couple of days to check the solar pump for our pool. As it turned out, the pump needed only minor adjustments. He didn't charge for that, or even for the service call.

"I appreciate and learn from all sorts of feedback although we have no record of doing any work with you sir. There is another Everclear based out of roseville that we have no affiliation with. Also I noticed you have a bay area address which we do not offer service that area as well. Although there is also a company named Everclear there. Still I appreciate what people are saying. I noticed you gave a "c" grade for price. We only do work after the job has been described in full and price agreed between both parties. I do know that it is a practice of several companies to qoute a price and then start work and then find "surprises", or to do the work without establishing the cost ahead of time. We do not agree with that method and find it to cause misunderstandings and lack satisfaction. We very much value our relationships with our customers and we believe that slow and steady wins the race. The individual that came into my home was named Matt. He was the top of Angie's List for this area. He was so good at identifying the problem and possible solutions. Matt put in the new pump before he had the money. He put in a lot of extra stuff. He even spent an extra hour cleaning up the pool. The pool looked like it had no problems going on with it. By the spring or summer, he'll be back. He even informed me that my filter hasn't been changed for years. I felt very comfortable working with him.

Talked to Everclear late Friday afternoon, as pool was threatening to go green. Came that evening without charging extra. Added chemicals to correct problem immediately. Professional, reliable, honest monthly service since then (early 2010) for $20 less per month than competitors.

Upon arrival, Matt examined the pool heater and determined that a manual adjustment of the regulater was all that was necessary for it to function properly. He then checked the switch for the pool light and when activated, would trip the GFI. He then disconnected the pool light and tested the GFI and it still tripped. Matt obtained and replaced the GFI recepticle and when the pool light was reconnected it worked. The diagnosis and repair took approximately an hour. I was charged a Service Call fee and for the GFI recepticle he had purchased for me. A very pleasant young man who handled himself professionally. I will call him again when I heed service and I would recommend his service to anyone.
