"[Member Name Removed], This review did not come as a surprise. Both of your fireplaces need repairs in order to operate, and function safely. Since our technician was not able to fix them onsite, he left both units in a safe position. We billed you $400 to perform the diagnostics, and let you know this morning (before you wrote your review) that we would be writing off your balance and would not be returning to perform any future work. It is not that we are unable to do the repairs. The reason we elected to decline your business is because you were very demeaning and disrespectful to our staff. We run a respectful and honest business, and in doing that we are selective with who we work with. We will always put the safety and well being of our employees first. We hope you are able to get your fireplaces repaired safely, by another company. Again, your balance has been discounted and you will not be receiving any further correspondence from our company."

"[Member Name Removed], I'm sorry to hear you were unhappy with our service. Like other businesses in our industry, we do have several fee schedules, and seasonal promotions that we offer. We initially quote pricing based on how our customers are referred to us, and according to the pricing contracts we have with other providers. As far as I can see our office followed our protocol with quoting you our standard pricing, then honored the reduced rate when you mentioned being referred by NW Natural. I am pleased that they did extend this promotional offer to you. In the end, you only paid $119 which I would think you would be even more please with. Often times, costs go up in the field rather than down, but we did not do that to you. As far as repair costs, we have flat rate pricing which includes the part, labor, and warranty of the part we are replacing. As a business, we do have a choice of how and why we bill a certain way. I know TJ explained this to you, and said you were welcome to call around and get additional quotes. Our company was built with integrity, so it is upsetting to read your review questioning this. During this difficult time in 2020, we have found more and more customers getting upset about pricing and costs. We do our best to be upfront about pricing and honoring not only our customers but the commitments we have with companies like NW Natural and Angie's List. Contrary to your review, we do care about our customers and running an honest business. I am sorry you were not happy with our company but wish you well."
