Everlasting Roofing

I called a number of roofing companies to get an estimate on either a roof repair or new roof (after a mishap on my garage). Chris Hawk with Everlasting Roofing was the only company to give me an honest answer. We ended up deciding on a new roof and Everlasting Roof gave the best price for the materials. He kept in good communication with us and they just finished the work last week. The job looks impeccable and the workers were remarkably fast and quiet. I would hire them again in a heartbeat.

I hired Chris Hawk (Everlasting Roofing) due to the many positive reviews on Angie's List. Chris came out, gave me an estimate on repairing the overhang and addressed my concern that given this was a smaller job it would still be given the same attention as larger jobs. The estimate I was given was excellent so I hired him on the spot and was given a time-frame the work would be completed. After these dates elapsed and receiving no communication I contacted Chris. He again addressed my concern that I was not being ignored and was again assured the would be commence by a certain date. Those dates elapsed and no communication. My wife then contacted Chris and again was given new dates the work would be completed yet again....(you guessed it), nobody showed up. I called to inform Chris I was hiring someone else to do the work and this time Chris contacted me to inform me I owed him $150 for the wood and paint he had purchaed for my job. I gave Chris one more chance to complete the work yet he again never showed up (it's now been over 2 months) and zero communication. My last call revealed that he had been on vacation. While we all need a vacation, I'm confused as to how he thought he would be doing the work on dates that he was on vacation. Chris had no problem contacting me to inform me that I owed him $150 which I paid to get rid of him.

Chris Hawk and his team did an exceptional job completing a new roof. They were on time, worked very hard and cleaned up. I would call Chris and his team again.

Here is the story. I worked with this company, but initially the communication was mediated by a contractor. I wasn't very happy about the appearance of that part of the roof when the job was done and complained. However, it was really hard and inefficient to go back and forth through the middle guy and I wasn't able to get them to fix the look. Therefore, I left a bad review here and hired someone else to work on the flashing. <br> <br> After a while, I was contacted by Wes, the owner. I explained the situation and he understood where the problems were. I decided to let him do what he proposed, in terms of improving the overall functionality and look. The job was completed today and it looked much better than ever before. We will wait for heavy rain to see whether everything works properly. <br> <br> Overall, I appreciate that the owner is willing to make up for what they didn't do well, so I bumped my rating. If not for the first part of the story, I would give them an A. I will be comfortable working with them again.

Showed up on time and completed on time. The only trouble was whoever did the tiny side roof split my siding. When this was pointed out to Chris he returned the next day and replace the siding.

Chris was very prompt, professional and courteous. The price was very fair and they took care of the work quickly. Very pleased and would highly recommend. It was a small job though we were scheduled quickly less than a week after we approved to proceed.

It I could give this company an A+ I would. They were fantastic. Chris gave a fair estimate and was honest about the work time and the wait time to start the project. He called when another job was delayed and let me know he could start sooner. His crew were professional and did a wonderful job. I would highly recommend this company.

Excellent! Chris Hawk is a true professional. He and his team didn't stop until they found the source of the leaking that had caused extensive damage to my plaster inside my house. They also fixed several other smaller issues along the way. On the basis of that, I also hired them to install the gutters and downspouts on my new addition. Again, they did top-notch work -- not only making sure the gutters and downspouts were properly installed, but also painting them to match the existing ones (I supplied the paint). And then, when I needed an attic fan, Chris found the fan I needed and modified it to be safely installed. Finally, my painter found some fascia on the older part of the house that was rotting, and Chris and his team came out and installed new fascia, reattached the gutters, and again painted so that you can't tell that there has been a repair. They do consistently excellent work. I've hired a lot of roofers to deal with a recurring issue that they finally fixed. I will hire them again for any future work that I need.

Owners Chris and Wes Hawk are real professionals.They and their people did an excellent job. They can be trusted to perform the work that is necessary and do it extremely well. They are knowledgable and honest. I highly recommend Everlasting Roofing. They are outstanding.

I had a lot of questions prior to entering into this contract.  The owner, Wes Hawk, took the time to answer all of my questions in detail.  I really appreciated this because I was then able to proceed with confidence based on having more extensive knowledge.  <br /> On the day that the work was performed,  I was working at home all day so I was able to observe how things went. The crew were industrious, methodical and competent in their approach to the job.  They took care to protect plants near the house.  They were very organized with removing the old shingles and installing the new roof.  I did not witness any fumbling, confusions, errors, or wasted time.  In addition, I appreciated that they have very good manners - it was a pleasure to have them work on my house, and they set an example of responsible behavior for my neighbors.  They cleaned up at the end of the day, and not just in a perfunctory way, but with real care. <br /> Not only do I now have a beautiful new roof, I know that it possesses distinct improvements over the features of the previous roof.  Two small roof vents were removed and replaced by a ridge vent which provides more efficient venting - requiring less energy to keep the house cool in the summer.  In addition, soffit vents (which the roof did not previously have) were installed at intervals - another measure allowing the house to "breathe" more efficiently. <br /> After completion of the work, the owner returned the next day to inspect the job.  This is an invaluable practice because it provides reassurance that things have been done correctly.  He even went so far as to get up on the roof to inspect the valley and chimney flashings and the shingle installation.  Getting his feedback on what he observed served to further increase my confidence that I had chosen well.  I am happy with my roof, and I would recommend this company for the care and professionalism they put into their work. <br /> <br /> <br />

Chris Hawk recommendations on what it would take to prevent future ice damming and leaks around my chimney sounded the most reasonable and effective to me, and his estimate was reasonable as well. His communication with me was prompt and helpful, and the work was completed on schedule. I was so impressed and grateful when, after inspecting one of the gutter seams more closely on the day he was performing the work, Chris decided that the particular portion of gutter did not need repair. That kind of integrity is priceless! I will not hesitate to call upon Chris and his company again, and I will recommend his work to anyone in need of gutter, chimney, and roof work!

A superb experience. Chris came as promised to give estimate, background on the work and roofing material. We decided after taking a month to move on the porch roof 1st, the entire remaining roof another year. Regardless of time passage, quote did not change in price. We agreed by distance, traveling at the time, and exchanged documents of approval by email, a true convenience to us. The material was ordered and arrived timely, just the correct shade for the house color. The crew came on a weekend following cold weather / fitting it around rain, did the work smoothly and effectively. Both work and clean up were great, taking cognizance of our natural plantings (we have no grass, so shrubs / plantings are really important) and minimizing disturbance. At final billing, the cost was reduced because assumed work to be done wasn't needed, a delightful outcome to a good job. <br /> <br />

This was a very unusual job because the shape of the section where the roofing had to be replaced made it difficult. In addition to Everlasting Roofing, I had two other roofers come for estimates.  Neither one of them gave me estimates even though I called them to remind them. So I went with Everlasting Roofing because he was willing to tackle the job.  It turned out to be more complicated than he expected and he had to do more work than originally anticipated.  I was impressed by his willingness to take on an unusual job and his thoughtful approach to solving the problem.  We are very happy with the result.  The section of roof that he did blends in very well with the existing roof and a water leakage problem has been solved.  <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />His company also tuck pointed our chimney.  It had some loose masonry and the cap had deteriorated.  That work was all done very satisfactorily. <br />

They were very responsive in coming to evaluate the problem and for completing the repairs. Would definitely use them again for future roofing issues. <br />

Having a roof leak in our family room I was referred to Everlasting Roofing by two separate family friends. Prior to calling I looked them up in Angie's List, which gave me a nice comfort feeling after looking at their strong history of superior service. Chris came out did a very complete evaluation of my roof. I then asked him to quote gutters for my garage and gutter guards for the entire house.Chris came out within a couple days of my initial call and I had a quote in less then 24 hours. They performed the job within a few days. He was very thorough in explaining all details and told me there would be no additional charges unless they had to replace some plywood, and then I would only pay for the portion of the product they used. Chris did everything he promised, the crews (roof crew and gutter crew) were both very efficient and their quality of work was outstanding. I would highly recommend Everlasting Roofing to anyone. Quality people, quality work.

Although it took them a long time to get to the work (they did tell me up front it would take a while), they found several places in the flat roof that needed repairs, they caulked some cracks in the brick façade of the house, water sealed the brick façade around where it was leaking, and recaulked the flashing in the area to make sure it was water tight.  I would say they did a great job. <br />

I really liked the work that was performed. They were very professional and the work was excellent. The cleanup after the removal of the old roof was excellent. The team did a great job of cleaning ground and after themsleves. The gutter work was done well. In summary, I am very happy with their work.

This job required extensive repair of the roof (e.g, holes in the roof, missing shingles) that was damaged from the June storm spree in central Ohio. The skylights needed to be replaced as well as the gutters that were ripped off the roof from the falling tree. Communication between the ofice with respect to scheduling, payment, and follow-up was excellent.  I was always contacted in advance to schedule appointments throughout the process and someone alway returned my phone calls. The crew arrived on time - they were polite, professional, and meticulous. After completing the work, they checked to make sure that I was satisfied with everything. I was VERY satisfied with the work.  I would rate this expereince in the top 1% of my encounters involving home repair.
