"We gave these customers an enormous discount on refinishing some floors in their home. We also agreed to try and get the job done over labor day weekend. Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate with us and left us waiting for multiple processes to dry before moving on to the next step. Not something any contractor has power over, but we still kept trying to do our job. customers were upset after spending $178 on a motel room and being asked to spend $40 on just one more night so the job could be completed properly. It was very odd for them to be upset over $40, at one point the wife accused me of "feeding them b*******", after spending thousands of dollars on the floor so they were required to finish paying for the job before it was completed. there were many good faith agreements that didn't make it to our contract. among them, thresholds, quarter round, replacing a spot in the floor, as well as them leaving the key for us so we could work longer than 8hrs a day, them buying wood for that replacement spot, etc. they also lied to me about having to haul off the demo waste (for free) because "it takes too long" for the city to pick it up. you can look at my other reviews, at my FB page and see that no one accuses me of what these people are trying to. the truth of the matter is, I was going to go above and beyond for these customers. they cursed me, lied to me, and tried to take advantage of me and now they are upset that the only thing I did was fulfill my contract and not the extra stuff."
