My wife and I needed to finish our basement to accommodate our growing kids. We had an excellent experience with Everything Under The Roof. They really listened to what we wanted to build and everything was done well, on-time, and on-budget. One thing I particularly appreciated is that the owner was onsite doing the work, and not simply sending a team of workers. We'll definitely be using Everything Under The Roof for any future projects.

Kim and Jay created a beautiful master bath for us. The combination of Kim’s selections and Jay’s workmanship was a perfect fit. They listened to our needs and fulfilled all of our expectations.

Kim and Jay are the best contracting group I have ever worked with. Thorough, responsive and always friendly and courteous.

Simply the best contractor work I have ever experienced. This company literally does “Everything Under the Roof.” Honest and you can tell Jay knew what he was doing and talking about. I would highly recommend this company and I will be referring them to everyone I know.

Our small master bathroom was renovated by EUTR a few months ago. The planning and work went smoothly and the job was completed on time. The work area was kept clean at the end of each day. We saved a bit of money due to their ability to obtain comparable materials at a lower cost. We are very happy with the work done. Jay and Kim were great to work with. We would certainly consider hiring EUTR again for another home project.

EUTR just wrapped up a remodel in my home – we did the kitchen, an existing bathroom, and then added a new bathroom. The work is outstanding, and the process was smooth, easy, and dare I say fun! Kim was a lifesaver when it came to making design choices and purchasing. She offered honest opinions and helpful tips, and I couldn’t be more grateful to have had her as part of the process. I work from home, so I was present every step of the way for the renovation. Jay was so easy and fun to work with! He never came to me with problems or drama, he always had easy solutions or options for me. My house was actually cleaner during the reno than it normally is – the guys were always dusting and vacuuming, leaving my home spotless each night. This was really important to me as I have two dogs and I didn’t want them to find trash or debris (semi-related, my dogs loved Jay so much they went through withdrawal after the work was complete). I always knew exactly what the plan was for the day or week. Jay was super organized and easy to work with, so it never felt like chaos (despite almost every room in my home being in some stage of construction). You 100% will get what you pay for with Jay and Kim. I had really healthy allowances for items because they listened to what I wanted and budgeted very realistically – this was also really important to me because I didn’t have a large emergency buffer. And I didn’t need a penny of it because the job came in right on budget! I will without reservation recommend to all my friends and use EUTR for any future work I do.

Jay and Kim were a pleasure to work with, as was everyone in their team and the sub contractors they also brought in. Everything they proposed was delivered in a timely manner and throughout the project they kept us informed on progress plus the next steps. There were a couple of instances when questions arose to resolve problems that are to be expected during a refurbishment project, their solutions were practical, well thought through and clearly drawn from years of experience. We are very happy with the outcome and would have no hesitation working with them again.

Jay and the crew from Everything Under the Roof were incredible! They transformed an old, outdated finished basement into an incredible new living space (family room and bedroom). To say they are simply home improvement 'contractors' does not do justice to everything they did... They are 'craftsmen' with a commitment to taking your ideas and making them a reality with high quality workmanship. From the initial consultation my wife and I were very comfortable with the team, and we only had one prior (poor) home improvement construction experience. They are organized, very clear and detailed about what to expect, choices needed to be made by when, and then open communication along the way. And, when unexpected things popped up they handled them by giving us options, and helped to keep the project on track. Whenever you open your home to strangers it can be a little awkward... but not with these guys. We (and our dogs!) felt very comfortable with them over the few weeks. Completely trustworthy and always acted in our best interest. Can't recommend them more.... and we will use them for our next project!

Very well! The work was done in the time specified and the work area was vacuumed and cleaned at the end of each day. Jay and Kim accommodated my schedule as needed and Kim was especially helpful with some design features as well as with stone and tile coordination and we would recommend them without reservation.

Could not be happier with the team from EUTR. Kept us informed all the way through, stayed within timeline & budget. Very helpful with ideas to streamline/cut costs. Extremely professional. They will be our go-to folks for home projects from now on.

EXCELLENT! The team is great! Very thorough, tidy and professional. I never had to worry about the projects when I was out of town, as they were in complete communication with me at all times. Kim helped with design and kept close track of our budget, while Jay and crew worked hard and did a beautiful job. Definitely call them for future projects and HIGHLY recommend!

The folks from Everything Under the Roof did a terrific job from start to finish. When we were getting estimates from several different contractors, Jay and Kim Spanier really stood out. They spent a good deal of time with us: listening to what we thought we wanted (which, as often happens, changed a bit over the course of the work), but also explaining the benefits, downsides, and costs of  multiple options, without pressuring us to choose one or another. The proposal they gave us was clear and detailed, and the ultimate cost came in where they had told us (the only exceptions being some changes we made along the way -- which Jay and his helper Gary patiently adjusted to). <br /> Professional obligations kept us out of town for most of the time Jay and Gary were working, but every time we came to the house, the evidence was there before our eyes that they were doing painstaking work. Jay was wonderful about phoning us regularly regarding the progress of the work, keeping us posted on any issues that might come up and inviting questions from us. Kim identified a source for cabinet hardware that was both handsomer and cheaper than what we had seen in Lowe's or Home Depot. Kim and Jay directed us to local stores for tile, flooring and kitchen appliances, stores that fully matched the prices at the box stores while providing better service. In fact, it was at one such store that we discovered the COREtec vinyl plank flooring (with cork backing) that we ultimately chose for the kitchen over hardwood, bamboo, or tile -- and we couldn't be more pleased with its look, comfort, and ease of cleaning. We are also deeply grateful that Jay alerted us to the fraying of the old cloth-wrapped wiring in the kitchen (and, as we found out, elsewhere in the house), which we would not have known to remedy had it not been for his attentiveness. <br /> The skill of the EUTR team, along with their patience and good humor dealing with newcomers to the world of kitchen remodeling, made the whole process relatively easy for us -- and produced wonderful results. These folks are deeply honest business people and true craftsmen, who made working with them a delightful experience. We recommend them wholeheartedly to anybody thinking about home remodeling! <br />

For us one of the most important things we wanted was a vision of how we would be able to perform this remodel.  We had some ideas but based on the layout of our house, we were not sure what would work.  Jay was able to design a remodel based on our needs that was ideal.  He uses a software that allowed us to see what the finished product would look like before the work began - which was very helpful and reassuring.  <br /> Jay and Gary are two of the nicest, most down-to-earth professionals that never let us feel that our input or concerns were unimportant.  They were prompt, courteous and always left the house clean and in-order after every day's work.  I was always briefed on the major facets of the project and was given heads-up when any special circumstances were needed (such as turning off electrical panel for wiring work). <br /> The finished product was amazing and worth every penny.  All my neighbors, friends and family were extremely impressed and I only wish that we made this decision earlier.   <br /> In summary we had a wall removed, a look-through window closed, all cabinets removed and new Craftmade soft open/close 42" cabinets and drawers put in, a 2-tier island installed with plumbing for the new sink and dishwasher, a gas stove plumbed in, full granite countertops and backsplash on island and tile/mosaic tile backsplash for cabinet countertops, completely new electrical in entire room area with LED dimmers, pendant lights over island, USB plug-ins in island, new sheet rock/taping/painting in entire room, all new appliances and new hardwood floor in opened areas and the entire floor sanded and polyurethane coated. <br /> You have to see the pictures to appreciate the extent of the transformation - but from our vantage point, you would be crazy not to call Kim and Jay if you are considering a home remodel of any kind. <br />

Everything Under The Roof is owned by two exceptionally dynamic people with the clear sense that working hard to get the product their customers want is the goal. They succeed. Their price for our kitchen remodel was competitive. Both Jay and Kim were friendly and helpful throughout the process. Every day ended with a clean work space. Dust and detritus throughout the area was minimal. In the end we are pleased with our new kitchen and recommend Everything Under The Roof without reservation. <br />

They were always on time. Cleaned up every night. Answered any questions we had. They were there when the appliances and cabinets were delivered. Very professional. I highly recommend Everything Under The Roof!!!

<p>The job went excellent, considering the fact that we had been told by Home Depot contractor that the microwave could not be installed due to wall constraints.  Upon arrival of contractor from Everything Under the Roof, it was determined that the microwave could be installed and safely supported by wall beams.   </p> <p>We very please with the job. The contractors were very professional and knowledgeable. They also hauled away the old microwave  and removed debris resulting from installation.</p> <p>With regard to the cost of the installation,they took into consideration the cost of the job that was quoted to us by Home Depot and provided a very competitive price with a Discount!</p> <p><br /></p> <br />

Our bathroom needed updating. We opted for a complete renovation but kept the Jacuzzi tub.  <br /> The process was upfront and painless. Regular reporting, collaboration and updates kept us informed and involved. <br /> When we picked a steam shower, Jay and Kim provided costs, timing and other considerations, making the final decision much easier. <br /> Of particular importance to my wife...Jay and his assistant kept the areas to and from the work covered and cleaned-up after each day. The impact of his work on our daily lives was minimal. <br /> Now, we are thoroughly enjoying the new bathroom. Many thanks to Jay and Kim, and we would gladly work with them again. <br />

These people are fantastic.  Jay and Gary, and Jay's wife, Kim (who runs the office), were professional, punctual, responsive and an absolute pleasure to deal with.  <br /> <br /> We were new to our area and purchased a home that needed substantial work.  When choosing a contractor, we had four important criteria.  First was trust.  We had to trust these people in our home, especially given that we both work.  Not only could we trust them (evidenced on multiple occasions), but our dogs absolutely love Jay and Gary.  We would leave them there with the crown jewels and a bag of money, and I'd still feel comfortable that all would be there (and maybe even better organized and stacked neatly) when we returned home. <br /> <br /> Second, we needed respectful, neat workers.  At the end of every work day, Jay and his <br /> team spent the time making sure the job site (ie, our home) was neat, clean and <br /> livable.  This was a huge change from <br /> prior contractors. <br /> <br />   <br /> <br /> Third was an adherence to a budget.  We bought the worst house on the block and <br /> knew we needed extensive work.  Jay <br /> priced out each aspect personally, and Kim kept us updated on all budget <br /> issues.  When we made selections that <br /> were outside the quoted price or opted to deal with something differently, Jay <br /> and/or Kim let us know right away that there would be a price chance and <br /> confirmed it was acceptable.  Plus, in <br /> more than one case, they pointed out ways we could save a bit to make up some <br /> of the difference.  They were not our <br /> cheapest option, but they were far and away the best.  Plus, we know that cost overruns and hidden <br /> charges would have come up with other contractors (been there, done that).  We figure we probably did get the best price <br /> in the end. <br /> <br />   <br /> <br /> Fourth, we wanted everything to be done to a high standard <br /> of quality and look the way we envisioned/as shown on plans. In this area, <br /> again, Jay and his team exceeded our expectations.  We still get compliments from visitors on <br /> anything EUTR does in our new home, and the buyer of our old home has called <br /> more than once to tell us how wonderful the house is (and how his friend, who <br /> is a contractor, is amazed at the quality of the work that was done).   Probably the best proof of all of this is <br /> that we sold our old house right after EUTR finished their work.  We had multiple offers within 2 hours of <br /> listing, and the property inspector said the work was absolutely topnotch in <br /> all respects.  There wasn't one flaw noted <br /> in the report about any area of the house Jay and his team handled. <br /> <br />   <br /> <br /> Bottom line:  hire <br /> these people.  Save yourself the pain of <br /> dealing with underbidding, unreliable or even subpar quality contractors.  When you hire Jay, Kim, Gary and the rest of <br /> the EUTR team, you're going to get people you can trust doing a job that you'll <br /> be happy to live with (and in) for a long, long time.  <br />

Although a project like this one is quite disruptive, Jay and Kim worked with us to try to make it as painless as possible. They arrived each morning at the time that they promised. Since we have three indoor cats, we had to make accommodations to not allow the cats to get outdoors. The workmen were very careful to make certain that the cats were not around as they entered and exited the house. The workmanship was flawless. We were amazed at the attention that was paid to details. Jay is a perfectionist, and it shows in his and Gary's work. Everyone was polite, and worked as quickly and carefully as they could in order to complete their work in a quality manner. They cleaned up after themselves daily. Although our expectations were high, I must say that they were met, if not exceeded. The workers always conducted themselves professionally, and as gentlemen. They knew that they were guests in our home. It was delightful to occasionally get a visit from Kim and their two daughters to pop in and say hello. It feels as though we have a new home. It is hard to recognize the family room, kitchen and half-bath. It is a renovation that we are very happy that we did, and also that we picked "everything under the roof" as our contractor to do the work. I would recommend this contractor to any of my friends or relatives, which says a lot. Thank you to Kim, Jay, Gary and all of the subcontractors that worked on our project. Nicely done! <br />
