My Mother is 91 years old and her air conditioner went out. One of your technicians, JOE BIGO came and gave my Mother a estimate on a new unit. Joe was very polite and very professional. Joe went out of his way to work with us so my mother can get another air conditioner unit. You all are coming next Thursday (20th) to install her unit. Excel is the only ones that my husband and I have service our air and heating in our home. We are always very satisfied with yals service. Thank you Joe for coming out and working with us for my Mother. She is excited about getting her new unit.My Mother also thanks you Joe.We really appreciate every thing you did. You made her day. Under new Ownership! I have known the owners personally for 20+ years and can attest that they are amazingly generous, kind, and selfless people. Last month, the HVAC went out in one of my rental homes. I was out of town, and Excel flawlessly completed the project on time and without any complications. My tenants were completely satisfied with the level of professionalism they demonstrated, and I found their pricing to be very reasonable. I'm switching my HVAC company to Excel because of my inside knowledge of who the owners are and the high level of reliability and integrity the possess. You can't go wrong with Excel!

Wonderful! They were so knowledgeable and friendly! We have an old house so they helped us figure out the best heating and cooling system for us. It couldn’t have been a better process AND now we are beyond comfortable in our 1920 craftsman house!

Does not stand behind their work. Paid $5300 to install a new unit, which went smoothly. 2.5 years later when finishing the room where the unit was installed, I discovered the line running from the indoor unit to the outdoor unit had been poorly installed, causing it to stick out 8 inches from the wall as compared to 1 inch for the other line on the other unit. I was willing to pay to have this resolved. It took 4 broken appointments to get a person out to give an estimate. The estimate was $150 if they could do the cheapest solution and $400-500 if not. I said OK either way, it sounded reasonable for the work. Two appointments to schedule the work later, and the techs finally show up. They charge a $70 service fee to tell me that they don't have the supplies to do the work and it will actually be $718 for the exact same solution I had discussed with the previous employee. Being that this problem was caused by Excel, I attempted to negotiate a lower price (not free, mind you just around the $400-500 as initially quoted). Excel claimed it had been "years and years" and they couldn't fix the problem with their own installation for anything less and wouldn't even credit the $70 service fee I was charged for their techs to tell me they came unprepared. I have another $4000 unit installation coming up in the next 1-2 years, but again that held no sway. And they've now lost that business and all future service calls. Plus a ding on their Google reviews. They're friendly and professional but don't keep appointments, take days to return a phone call, nickel and dime you with inappropriate fees, and most importantly - Excel does not stand behind their work

Joined their "Bi-annual service agreement". Wanted $179 for the first 6 months up front and then wanted us to start paying the second six months after 30 days. Found $1000 worth of repairs after just being there 6 months ago ($600 worth of repair then.). Suggested we needed new heat pumps. Wanted 15K for the 2 heat pumps that were a half a ton less that what I needed. I ended up paying $8800 for two from Hunsberger, and he came highly recommended. I cancelled the "bi-annual agreement", after I asked for 5 months back, due to me not staying with them, for the full six months, they said no and are keeping the money. I will do a review with the BBB. Overall I would say they are not one that I would go to for this kind of thing. They are very expensive and the service is mediocre.

Furnace failed on 12/2/17. Excel came out on 12/4 (or maybe 12/5) to look at unit - told me it needed to be replaced. I shopped around for a bit then notified them on 12/14 that I wished for them to do the work. Furnace had to be ordered and installation was scheduled for 12/28. Excel called me on 12/27 to report that the furnace was still in Chicago - rescheduled installation for 1/2/18 which is when it was finally installed. On a positive note, everyone I dealt with at Excel was very respectful and polite. They arrived promptly and notified me 30 minutes ahead of their arrival, sending me texts with the names and photos of who would be coming. They worked efficiently and cleaned up extremely well after they were done. I noticed a problem with condensation leaking from a PVC pipe placed during the installation onto the top of the furnace. I called the office to report it and they promptly sent someone out to look at it. They ended up changing the configuration of the pipe which fixed the problem. They were again meticulous in their clean-up afterward. Other than being quite cold for a month, I was overall very satisfied with Excel Heating a & Cooling.

It's working fine.

The customer service rep diagnosed the problem on the phone, had a technition in the area, promised to send him by and if he had the correct part on his truck, he would fix it then. Was fixed within hours of the original request.

They have good prices and provided excellent services. They were quick to get me an appointment. and their mechanics are excellent. They really made an extra effort to get me in since they were so busy.

My heat pump and furnace had both quit working during a big snow storm. I spent several days attempting repairs myself to no avail. These guys showed up and had everything up and running again in under an hour. They also guarantee their work and will return for free if there is any issue with any service they provide. Also one of the cheaper hvac service centers in town. <br />

I had no problem. They came to my house twice on two different occasions. I was satisfied. He was fine. It was reasonable. They were prompt and they were courteous. They were respectful in terms of not messing up my property. They came in. Before they came to the house, they put covers on their shoes. They put everything back together. I would definitely use them again.
