I selected Exclusive Builders after interviewing three contractors. Their quote was definitely not the lowest, but it was the most inclusive and seemed the most transparent. In the end, the quote was very accurate in predicting final costs. When picking finishes with the owner, he was very good at letting me know when I was looking at things which would increase expenses, and he was very helpful and helping me select finishes that would stay in budget but honor the design intent. He had a very good eye for aesthetics. Even more important, the whole team was very detail focused. Everything had to be just so. Any time I noticed something slightly off, they were right there to fix it. They whole team was very respectful of our space, sealing off areas not being worked on. The owner told me that they usually only take on two projects at a time so that they can give appropriate focus to each project and minimize delays. I was extremely pleased with the outcome. I would recommend Exclusive Builders heartily, and would hire them again.

Robert did a great job building a new staircase to replace one that was uneven and not sturdy. He helped us with the design and picking materials and stain to match the look of the rest of our house. He also fixed a support post that was rotting to make our home safe. His crew repaired drywall and painted the rooms to make this unfinished section of our home look complete. I will definitely hire Robert again for future remodeling projects.

The quality was excellent and the price was fair. They kept the dust to a minimum, and they performed the work on schedule. Robert helped me pick out the tile. He told me what's popular now and would likely retain its popularity when it comes time to sell. I'm planning to hire them again for a couple of smaller projects. I see them a lot in my building (a high-rise in River North), so I know my neighbors are recommending them, too.

Robert took me shopping for tiles, fixtures , designed the custom cabinetry helped me pull together my vision with wonderful suggestions. The team was wonderful, professional and thoughtful throughout the remodel and I can’t say enough about the excellent workmanship. In the end I had the spa bathroom I always dreamed about! Everyone who sees my bathroom asks for the name of my remodeler and I very happily let them know about Robert Exclusive Builders and Remodelers.

All 3 jobs were great. The crews' attention to detail and creating innovative ways to find design solutions along the way made for a great project. They also maintained a very clean worksite which was important since we lived in the cond during all 3 jobs

Robert and his crew did an excellent job. They created a barrier between the master bath and bedroom and made sure the hardwood floor into and out of the master was protected. There was only a light increase in price, due to mold that was discovered (and he showed us) which involved removal and installation of dry wall. Robert was the ONLY contractor who took the time to discuss the reconfiguration of our plumbing at the time of the estimate and told us up front what the cost would be and stuck to it. His workmanship was excellent. We also implemented many of his suggestions. Our remodeling was done in 2013 and have not had any problems; as a matter of fact we get a lot of compliments on our master bathroom.

Robert and crew pulled up 20-year old tile off my kitchen floor - only to find a 120 -ear old subfloor that was impossibly rotted and unlevel. Lots of extra sweat and effort but the result is super impressive. Everyone that visits my place comments on my contemporary tile upgrade. I would recommend Robert to anyone.
