Expert Cleaning & Construction Services Inc

This company is formally known as the “expert contractors” based out of Danvers, Massachusetts. It is owned by Luis Claudio deSouza. Mr. deSouza, Luis, also owns a company called the expert cleaners. Luis and “the expert contractors” filed for bankruptcy this week. We received notification today. We started a project with him last August and like many of his other clients, left with excuses, lies, and an unfinished project. Per months if documented interactions, Luis told me that he had spent our money elsewhere and did not have money for our materials or labor. He would not tell us where our money went but that it was unavailable to work on our project. He does frequently travel to Brazil and per Facebook appears that he was enjoying many vacations while we were watching our project languish. We lost 50k and a garage that he demolished and wasn’t able to rebuild due to lack of preparation, experience, and due diligence related to zoning and permitting. He told us he hired a land surveyor who delivered me a literal sketch on a napkin to bring to zoning. Unacceptable. The project never make it past demo and rough mechanicals and the framing that was completed took place only when I physically delivered weekly cash payments to the laborers who had walked off the job because they weren’t paid any wages out of the 82k deposit we gave him. Mr. DeSouza’s license expired in January and was not renewed by the time we fired him in April. The local building inspector called me to inform me of this. Please refer to the Better Business Bureau and look up “expert contractors.” You’ll find many reviews under his name stating the real quality of his work. The reviews listed here do not reflect what you will get if you hire this company. Buyer beware!! Luis told me himself that his lawyer advised him to go bankrupt and open up under another name, it appears that is just what he has done. Yet again.
