Exposition Carpet

I had the carpeting replaced in one of the bedrooms. Expo sent me sample photos of carpets by email so I could choose a carpet over the phone. Dina, the salesperson, was very helpful. The installer was terrific. He got there right on time and took out the old carpeting and hauled it away and then installed the new carpet in two hours.It looks beautiful. I'm really pleased with the service I got. I have used Expo several times before and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

The end job was excellent.  They came every day, stayed all day until the job was finished.  We are very happy with the finished product.  However, they did not return calls promptly and were going to leave the job unfinished.  By unfinished I mean they were going to leave without properly  installing all the shoe  molding.  They were going to leave a putty joint between the floor and baseboard showing.  They also charged us for the additional shoe molding which we believed was included in the original price. I do <br /> recommend them justmake sure you include everything you want  written in the contract.

I've used Exposition Carpeting for more than 20 years now.  They have an excellent selection and are extremely helpful, and their prices are reasonable.  When our basement flooded last year, we had wanted to get the same carpeting that had been ruined in the flood, but it was discontinued.  They were SO helpful in poring over books and helping us find something very similar.  There was a miscommunication among their staff which caused our order to be somewhat delayed, but that was the first time I'd had anything less than a stellar experience with them.  <br /> I highly recommend them.  They also have a great "remnant room" with great prices if you're looking to carpet smaller rooms.

I especially like that it's a family business and you are dealing directly with owners and not with a salesman that doesn't even know who his/her boss is. The installers have worked their for years and that says a lot.</p> <p>After going through a back porch remodel enclosing to a mudroom, we wanted a pet friendly, water resistant and durable floor so we went with vinyl plank. The store had many options, and time frame to get material was within a week. We checked out a 'sale' prior at a trendy well known Lincoln Avenue store, only to be met with double the cost and attitude. So we ended up back at Exposition and it was a done deal within 2 weeks.</p> <p>I thought I had reviewed them on AL, but realized I hadn't when the list asked if members had any feedback.</p> <p>We wouldn't hesitate to use them for any flooring needs.<br /> <br /> </p> <br />

We had a great experience with Exposition Carpet.  We needed our carpet replaced in a very tight time frame (before the movers arrived, but after the painter)  We really only had about a day's window.  They did it all!  Dina (our salesperson) was excellent, steering us away from a more expensive carpet that would wear poorly for our application.  We'd gotten a couple of quotes, but they were far cheaper for a superior carpet. <br /> They even waited a week until after the installation to charge us the final payment to make sure there were no hidden issues. <br /> Overall, very pleased with them, and would use them again. <br />

They were excellent and outstanding. The technicians that they sent out were just very nice, friendly and they were willing to go above and beyond. They make sure everything was done correctly. I recommend them in a heartbeat. I really appreciate them.

I discovered a 4 foot run in the carpet where, apparently, a thread had become tangled in the vacuum cleaner. I called Exposition Flooring and left a message. The call was returned within an hour. Yes, they could send someone to take a look at it -- the next morning!   <br /> The service guy determined that the section of carpet needed to be stretched and re-sewn. In order to do this, the furniture needed to be moved (a large, heavy king size bed) which they did. Their entire visit took approximately 1 ½ hours and the result was perfect.  <br /> The bill was handled via e-mail which I always appreciate. Overall, an excellent experience. <br />

Stretched our carpeting in both the front room and dining room (large rooms). The carpet was damp in the dining room so they brought over a big fan to dry it out. They also had to apply latex to part of the backing to assure it would be strong enough to stretch in one section. The individual they sent was extremely knowledgeable and did everything to save the carpeting for the time being. He did a wonderful job. <br />

I have used Exposition Carpet before and was pleased with their work. I needed the interior stairs and hallway carpeted at a six flat I own. They came out right away to measure the stairs and I went to the showroom to select the carpet I wanted. They sell an unbelievable amount of different kinds of carpet. I needed carpeting that would look good, hold up well under a lot of foot traffic and be affordable. I had no problem getting what I wanted. They also let me take a sample piece home to show my husband. They came out within a week and installed the carpet. It looks great. I am very pleased with the results. The price included removing the old carpeting and hauling it away. I feel I got a good deal. <br />

Great service from start to finish. Worked with Dena who was amazing. She pulled carpets based on what I was looking for (really soft berbers) and our budget until I found something I liked. Afterwards we were given a lower quote by someone a friend recommended but I didn't feel as good about the carpet quality and material. I called and she did additional research for me and was able to find me a better deal with an unbranded carpet with an even better warranty and carpet backing than what I had originally picked. I couldn't go in to see the colors in person but trusted her to pick based on my last selection. We also had a short timeline to move in and wanted the work done prior to that. She arranged for someone to pick up the keys to our house from my husband's job downtown (we were living in Indiana at the time and the work was being done in Chicago) so that the installers could let themselves in early on a Saturday and we could meet them there later on in the day. The carpet was better than I had expected. Really soft and looks great. She also sent someone out again later when I had a minor concern that ended up being nothing. She said if my concern became an issue they'd take care of it. Can't say enough good things about Dena and Exposition! <br />

My initial experience was positive. The salesperson was very helpful and I chose carpeting that was reasonable for my budget. The installers were punctual and courteous. However, the price in the store for my carpeting was incorrect, and when it came time to pay, the salesperson was pretty rude when I demanded the price that was on the sample in the store. He even refused to let me talk to his boss. After speaking with another salesperson, I was given the price that was in the store and a credit for the extra labor for stairs, which was nice. I'm not totally pleased with the installation. There are air pockets and bumps all over the place, and when I went back to the store, I was told to try sticking pins in the air pockets and if that didn't work, they would come pull up the carpet. I just don't feel like dealing with them anymore, so I'll probably just accept all the imperfections because I don't want to turn my basement upside down to fix them. <br />

The instillation of carpet went well, but the customer service follow up was a bit slow.

I think that they were magnificent.  They stand behind their work, and come back if there is problem.  They also come out for free measurements.

I needed to replace all the carpeting in a tenant's apartment. Exposition came over the day after I called them to measure the apartment and show me samples. The owner, Marshall, gave me good advice as to the type of carpet I should get for a rental unit and how much I should spend. They gave me a better price than two other carpet companies I called. The installers came out as soon as the painters were finished and did a very professional installation job. The carpet looks great. <br /> <br /> I am very pleased with the service and price and would definitely call them again.

After 8 years our carpeting was buckling and needed to be stretched.  We called Expo and spoke to Dena and she explained that someone would come out to look at the job and measure the rooms.  We set up a time for this and he arrived promptly.  Dena called us shortly after the measurements were taken and we discussed the price and set up a time and date for the stretching.  Expo called us the day before to confirm their men would be out the following day.  They arrived on time, were very pleasant, did their work, cleaned up and were gone.  The carpeting looks good again.

Overall pretty good experience and do refer this company.  They were recommended by a friend and have great reviews on-line.  They came in move furniture around and installed padding and carpet same day.  Building maintenance did inspection and seems installers damaged a wall and scratched our door.  Company agreed to pay for wall in full and were going to pay for the door but we paid half since there was some damage from us or the neighbors and there was no questions asked, no hassle.  There was a line in carpet where it was joined and they came back to repair since it did not totally blend in a few weeks later.  This happens from what I have found out from others but again no questions or problems.  Price was fair from what we figured and completed in a timely fashion with bumps all taken care of.  Again we recommend this company and would use again but still would get some quotes anyway.

The service was great and the custom rug was made exactly as I had asked. The prices are low. I just wanted some simple, affordable things and that's exactly what they provided.
