I called Angie's List and said, "I had a few questions about it." The location where I wanted it, I wasn't sure if it would work for the electrician. I didn't want to bring him out here to have him say it wouldn't work. So they gave me his number. So I called him and I told him what the situation was. He said, "It would work fine." So he came out to the house for the installation. While he was here, I mentioned that I hadn't paid it yet because at that point, I had just called for questions but I believed that I had to pay through Angie's List and book it through them. He convinced me that it was okay if I paid him directly and that he submits the payment to Angie's List. So, I did pay him directly, I gave him a check for $99. He put the outlet in, he was very personable, seemed to be a really honest and nice guy. The next day I went to use it. The purpose of it was that we will be able to plug in some outdoor lights in the summer time for my patio. So the next day I went out to use the plug and it didn't work. So I tried calling him and found out the business name that he was using was bogus. When I talked to Angie's List about it, they said that they had finally dropped contracting with him because they had so many complaints. I tried calling him so many times. At one point, he said, "Well, send me your available dates." I sent him my dates and then I never heard from him. The next time I called the number that I had, they said, he was using their business name and he is not there and it's not his business. It was all really convoluted. Consequently, nine months later, I still have an electrical outlet that doesn't work, even though I paid $99 for it. I'm trying to get a friend to come over and take a look at it. But it can't be done now because there is snow out there. So, I'll deal with it again in Spring. He said he did all kinds of work, he was an electrician, he was a former marine, he had been doing business on his own, he does drywall and he did all kinds of things. I almost was going to call him to do another job. Thank goodness, I never did. I was thinking of doing something with my garage at the time. The service that he provided at the time, $99 for an outlet, was a fair price, but the fact that it didn't work and I think he actually put it in incorrectly because the reset button and the test button are reversed to where they should be and you can't even push them in at all. So there is something in the installation that really is off. Maybe it was just a simple mistake on his part, I don't know. All I know is, the outlet has never worked, and it was $99. If it worked, it would be a great price, but it didn't, so it was a waste of my money obviously. He stopped communicating with me after I started telling him that if he didn't respond and take care of it that I was going to be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau also. He was quick to get here when we started. The guy was just totally dishonest. He screwed up my outlet, but he seemed to be a good guy, he was very respectful while he was here. He seemed to be a really nice pleasant person, but I was totally disappointed when I tried the outlet. He didn't try it before he left, he just installed it. If the outlet worked, I would give him an 'A' on everything because he was pleasant, he was punctual, he was professional, but because he completely turned around when I complained about the outlet not working, that is when the communication went sour. He also complained because he lived in a rural area and I lived in a city and it was probably a 30 minute drive to get up here to Rochester and I'm like, "Oh for heaven's sake."

He can't be trusted. The guy told us the roof was great. He gave us an estimate to fix the ceiling in the garage saying a half day with 3 or 4 guys. He ended up coming with just one guy and was done in an hour. Figures that a few months later the roof is leaking right on top of the repair work did. He doesn't respond to calls or messages.

They did very good work for me in the past but they installed an outlet on the exterior of my house which never worked. I have tried MANY times to get a hold of them with little success. The small handful of times I have spoke to someone I was promised that they would get back to me to make this right but have no one ever does. Voicemails are full, no return calls made at this point a negative review might be the only way I can get this resolved before legal action. I understand that I am low on the totem pole but this is awful customer service.

I thought it was going fine. I supported them as they worked around the property. They appeared rushed on Friday afternoon. Paul, gave me the invoice. I paid him with a check. He did not deduct the two deal prices from the invoice. One of them he may not have known about, but the $800 one he did know about. They also left some unfinished work, and materials behind. I have called and left messages. But I am not getting any kind of response back and the number I am dialing is not receiving calls at this number. I am now in the whole $1000.

Overall experience at the time wasn’t bad, a few bumps but work progressed as expected. I did question that the ceiling in one room looked a little wavy. I was told it wasn’t dry and there were a few shadows making it look that way. This is in a spare room where the ceiling is now falling, and being empty nesters this is a room we rarely enter. I also questioned the workmanship on the wallpaper, mainly the seams not looking right. When the job was done I had 3 extra rolls which they used to make some repairs. I was left with some patches applied that have since loosened up and are now showing bubbles. Over time bubbles are showing up in many areas. I did ask why they were not using a seam roller and was told they would get one. This never happened and now there is paint showing through some of the seams, others are overlapped. One major problem that occurred, I got home one day when they were finishing up for the day and the house stunk of skunk weed. That employee was promptly fired. I have tried to contact Exquisite construction several times; sent a text message with pictures attached, left 2 voice mails, attempted another call and mailbox was full, sent a message through Angie’s List. Did not receive any responses.

Got Paul's name off Angie's list. I left a message and Paul called back in less than 5 minutes. Paul came out to give an estimate within 3 days and within one week, was here to do the work. Paul and Michael arrived promptly. Mike stayed to do the work. It was tedious as the wall paper border was being stubborn. It looks great and is ready to be painted. The clean up was thorough and everything was back in place just as it was upon their arrival. Paul came back to check to be sure all was good with the work. It sure was! Thanks Paul and Mike! I look forward to working with you in the future.

I used Exquisite Construction. There were no additional costs. They were here probably the third week of April, 2016. I thought for what they did it was a little, I mean he was only there for 20 minutes. I would probably not use them in the future. The problem with it was it was for $99 of inspection and I don't think that they did a whole lot. I didn't think for $99 they didn't check it out as thoroughly.

The job went great. He was punctual, responsive and gave me several options on how to best repair the project within my budget. The guys were respectful, quick and focused on the job. The repair is beautiful and has been an eyesore for years. Had I known it would have been so painless to get this fixed, I'd have done it years ago.

We had a moisture issue with our skylights in our vaulted ceiling. After talking over several options, decided that a tear down and closed cell spray foam application was the most permanent solution to this problem. We met with several companies about the job and ran into an issue getting a comfortable feeling with each contractor until we met Paul. The job required a tear-down of the ceiling, the batt and cellulose insulation, spray foam application, some shims on the rafter for the new drywall to replace the thickness by some previous foam board, drywall, texture, and then multiple coats of paint and primer. There were a lot of angles around the skylights as well to top it off.
When we met with Paul he went through the steps he would take to complete the job. He talked a lot about the prep work and what that process entailed (an important step for us since we just repainted the walls, installed some bookcases, and put in new hardwood floors) and most importantly, instilled in us a sense of confidence that he could and would get the job done. The job was not scheduled to start right away due to the cold weather so our confidence in Paul was demonstrated by his follow-up and follow-through when we were ready. It was a good feeling for us, as in the past we've had contractors bail out after waiting a period of time and also change their quotes. Paul was true to his word.
We are thankful for the diligent prep work. The house was closed off in that section and it was like bomb had gone off inside of it. The blown-in cellulose was everywhere and then when the drywall dust came, you had to wonder if the finished product would ever look like it used to! The crew was very respectful and they really busted their backs getting the job done. My wife felt very comfortable with them in the house with our two little kids and we even felt comfortable leaving the house to them while they worked.
When the process was finished, my wife remarked at how it looked as if nothing had ever happened! We were very appreciative to Paul and his crew for the work that they did. They showed great accountability and service and we got a good sense of their integrity. We are very thankful to have found him and we will be using him for future projects.
He did a fine job. The drywall work was great, but I will never use him again because I just didn't like him. I did not have to pay more than the big deal price. He seemed very rushed, he was on the phone, he hardly spoke to me, he came in and did the work, and he did a great job. I showed him some other things in my house, and he said he could do that, and he could do that, but he was in and out of here in 20 minutes. I wasn't going to call him again because he could have done those in the time frame. He said I should give him a call. I felt like I was an interruption in his day. I didn't like the way he treated me. He was a smoker and I generally do not hire people who smoke, he had an odor. I had no problem with the work he did. He gave me advise on some things. I showed him where it had leaked on the ceiling. I have nothing negative about his work. He was very responsive, and he came earlier than he was supposed to, and he called me to ask if it was okay. He made me feel like I had hired him for that job, and once the job was done, he was done. He came in and took care of what I had intended, but he could have done other things. He seemed to be in a rush to finish and get out. I am sure he had another job to go to.

"Hello. Thank you for your opinion on my personal behavior aswell as my professional. I would have hoped for a grade on my quality and my professional rather than your opinion of my smoking that i do on my own time. Cant please them all but i do my best. Take care"
