Roof was installed. (Roof never leaked before installation, it was just getting old and was stained). Afterwards area around chimney leaked to the point it came through the drywall. He came out once and caulked around the flashing. Roof still leaked. Called and emailed him repeatedly. He finally said he was going to come out and then he never did (said he had a car accident on way to our house and then never rescheduled). We actually have rot on our rafters now, it leaked so badly. For the amount of money we paid, you'd think he'd be concerned about fixing it. I really wish we had gone with another roofer.

He cleared all the debris and he changed the cap coil pump vent. The work initially looked good. A few years down the road we noticed water stains on our second floor bathroom ceiling, and first floor laundry room ceiling. We decided to call them to let them know of the stains. He returned our call and said he would send his main roofer within the week to look at the water stains. When we didn't get a response at the end of the week we called again and never got a response. The following week I called again and still did not get a response. On July 6,2016 I emailed him, I stated to him who I was and the issues that we were having with our roof and let him know that I have not heard back from anyone to get this corrected I encouraged him to contact me so we can work out a scheduled arraignment that worked for both of us since we were going out of town soon, and again I got no response. I stopped by his business address about a week after I emailed him and I left a note stating that I had reached out to him several times a few different ways and would really like for him to contact me. Shortly after receiving the note He sent his worker who left a card but we were not home at the time, He also followed up with a phone call saying that his worker would be in the neighborhood and to look for him. When I got home we had missed his worker so I called to let him know that he had missed us and we needed to set up an appointment so we could get this issue taken care of. I have not heard back from him since. I have called a couple more times with no response so on August 9, 2016 I sent another email letting him know that it was pivotal to hear from him to get this issue resolved because I have been contacting him for over 5 weeks with no prevail.

Roof installation went quickly. Only problem is that it started to leak around one of the chimneys immediately. John came out and put more caulk around the flashing. That fixed it for a couple more years. Now it's leaking again (it actually crumbled the drywall on our ceiling), he said he would come out and take a look at it and he never did.

I found them on Angie's List. They did a great job. There were probably half a dozen workers here and it took them two or three days to do the work.

Replaced the attic roof vent. Unfortunately, the size was wrong - the outside frame was too small - which left gaps around the vent frame and siding. Called another contractor to replace vent with one that fit correctly. <br />

Contacted the company and they provided quick feedback and a quote.  We had the work done the next week.  They followed up with us after the work was done.

The scope of work was completed exactly as promised and the project was completed without a hitch. The workmen were prompt, courteous and professional and finished the job without any follow up corrections needed. The roof looks great and we are more than pleased with the outcome of this project. Prior to joining Angie's List, I had contacted several roofers I found on Home Advisor.  Many quotes were incomplete and after carefully doing background checks on the contractors, I found several contractors with problem histories.  So I joined Angie's List and found three more roofers to contact.  John was very responsive.  He gave a very thorough estimate.  I checked his company out with every resource I had available and was able to determine that he was the right contractor for us.  John was able to get the work scheduled within a week.   John & his crew showed up on time and were very professional.  Work was completed in two days.  They came back out when it was convenient for us to completely clean the attic area of debris that had fallen through the planks of the roof. <br /> Communication was excellent.  <br />   <br /> <br />

John was very quick and professional getting me an estimate.  I actually received a lower estimate from another company but went with John because of the way he presented himself.  I glad I did as he and his crew did an excellent job.  His crew worked non-stop into the evening, pretty much finishing the job in one day.  They just had to drop by in the morning to finish cleaning up. <br /> A couple of neighbors commented on how hard the roofers worked and on how nice of a job they did.  Dealing with Exterior Solutions was a pleasure and will use them again hopefully when it comes time for new windows. <br /> Thanks John!

Jon was easy to work with and honest. It took several days to complete the job. The end results were beautiful! He made sure to clean up all of the nails and debris. He also washed out anything left in the gutters. He cleaned off marks on the house. I would highly recommend him for the quality of his work. A warranty on his product is included, as well as a senior discount.

Our 22 year old house was in dire need of a new roof and I dreaded looking for a roofing contractor that provided excellent work at a fair price. After getting four disappointing estimates from roofing contractors in my area I joined Angie's List and got three more estimates. Exterior Solutions was the first contractor that I called from Angie's List and the owner John Abbott answered the phone and came out within two days to look at the job. John took the time to answered all my questions, described in detail what he proposed to do and had shingle samples for me to choose from. Upon leaving he said that he would email the estimate to me that night. True to his word the estimate arrived that night and it was much more reasonable then the others I had received. That said I called two more roofing contractors from Angie's List and made appointments with then to get estimates. Both roofers came out, walked the roof, gave me their sales pitch, and I received an estimate. One of the estimates was very close to Exterior Solutions but after discussing it with my wife we chose Exterior Solutions because we were very impressed with John Abbott. I called John to inform him that we wanted Exterior Solutions to replace our roof and the next evening he was at our house with the contract in hand to sign. During that meeting we discussed the day he was going to start and how long it was going to take. Sure to his word John and his crew were up on the roof Wednesday morning receiving a delivery of roofing material and starting the tear off. Unfortunately it started raining and eventually started to snow and the work had to be halted to the next day. Fast forward two days and the old shingles are off and the new ones on. They came back Saturday morning to flash the two chimney's and do a final clean up. I know John said that he would tarp all our shrubs and our deck but my wife and I didn't want to take any chances so we took it upon ourselves to cover our deck with a tarp and plywood since we just replaced it the previous summer. The clean up was  <strong>OUTSTANDING</strong> and the crew of Exterior Solutions even took it upon themselves to clear the deck of the plywood and tarp the we put down. When you tear off that much roof there is a fair amount of trash (shingles, paper, aluminum, roofing nails, etc.) and I can honestly say that after walking around the house I may have found just a handful of trash that was missed. In conclusion, based on my experience I would  <strong>HIGHLY</strong>  <strong>Recommend</strong> Exterior Solutions for roofing, they did a great job and were a pleasure to work with.

Everything was timely and excellent.  The phone response was prompt.  The estimate visit was quick and timely.  The woork was preformed within 10 days of acceptance of the estimate.  The job was done quiclky, cleanly, and professionally.  The price was good as compared to others.

We had a small leak in our roof and knew it was about time for the shingles to be  replaced. <br /> We looked for a roof contractor on Angie's List and got several estimates. <br /> We called Exterior Solutions and the owner answered the phone. <br /> He came over that evening and went right up on the roof to examine and measure it. <br /> When John sat down with us, he told us what we were looking at to replace the old roof. <br /> He described what materials would be used and why. <br /> He took the time to answer all of our questions <br /> We felt very comfortable talking to John and his explaining of what his estimate would involve. <br /> We signed the contract and John said they could start very soon <br /> On the first day of dry weather they were on the roof and started the work <br /> All work was performed to the contract and all the trash was removed. <br /> We are very pleased with the work done by this company and will use them again if ever needed. <br />

The owner of the comany came out the same day I called and was on-time and very helpful in figuring out what was going on even though it did not all apply to roofing.  He did the work and did a great job.  I would call him again at the first sign of a problem!

John and his crew did 2 jobs for my wife and I.  First was a complete roof replacement (remove old roof, install new roofing system)  They did excellent work and completed it in a couple of days.  We are very satisfied with their work and everything about the experience with them. The second job was replacement of some rotting wood on our bump outs.   They replaced the rotten wood with a PVC type material that looks like the wood that was removed.  This is a non-deteriorating material that is very low maintenance.  Again, excellent work in a very timely manner.  I was also very impressed with John's handling of our communications back and forth.  I would use them again without a doubt.  I encourage anyone to contact them.

I lost some shingles in a big wind storm Frederick. I called and John (the owner) came by the same day. He determined that there was no danger of leaking, identified some additional repairs that I needed that could be included in the service call price and scheduled the job for that week. He patiently answered questions about roofing, the repair and his company. His crew completed the repair as scheduled and for the quoted price. They were polite and cleaned up the old shingles when they were done. I will call this company for any roofing jobs in the future.

I e-mailed John Abbott via Angie's List late Friday afternoon. By the following Sunday evening, I had an estimate; and by Wednesday afternoon the repairs were complete. He managed to make time for the repairs right before a thunderstorm rolled in Wednesday night. The repairs were done so well that I can't even tell where the original damage was. I will definitely use this contractor again!

I called on a Saturday expecting to leave a message and the owner answered the phone himself. When I explained that a windstorm had torn off various parts of my roof, he said he would come right out and inspect the damage. He was there within 2 hours and checked to make sure the roof could withstand the rest of the weekend. He then gave me a very reasonable quote and was back on Wed. to do the repair. His crew left the area clean and even did "extras" like resealing around the pipes and vents on the roof w/o extra charge. I will use them again, in fact I am having them give me a bid on some porch work.

John did a great job. Came out and gave me an accurate quote and came out in the time frame specified to finish the job. They quickly completed the job and it looks great.

John, the company's owner, was the first to respond of five estimate requests. He came to visit the site promptly, explained the job. We discussed resetting the gutters but not replacing them. We received 4 estimates total, and Exterior Solutions' estimate included gutter and downspout replacement for the same price as the second-place bid's roof only estimate. We also had a good impression from our interaction with John, so we selected Exterior Solutions to perform the job. We were not present for the entire time services were provided. Inspection upon completion of work led to minor observations of situations that required correction. Exterior Solutions came immediately to correct the issues, including a downspout connection that needed to be adjusted and re-magnetizing the yard (some nails were discovered.) Overall we were very pleased with the work. We would definitely hire Exterior Solutions again.
