On August 22, 2015, I signed a contract with Falcon Roofing to fix leaks of our gutters. There were four spots that needed to be fixed as written in our contract. We wanted to fix the gutter before a wet El Nino winter. We got estimates from other contractors and Falcon Roofing was the highest bidder. We hired Falcon Roofing anyway, since the company was recommended by another contractor, and we were impressed with Mario, who seemed very nice and sincere when he told us that they care about customer satisfaction. After a week or so, he sent 2 of his workers to seal the four spots in the gutters, for which we paid $542.00 and received a 5-year warranty signed by Mario. The service was good and workers were friendly and polite. Late 2015 and early 2016 it did not rain as much as predicted. We did not have problems with the gutters. From November 2016 through this month of January, it was raining a lot and our gutters started to leak again. So, I called their office in early December to tell them that our gutters started to leak again. After two weeks, on a Saturday, Christopher came with the original receipt. Their copy of the receipt doesn’t mention the 5-yr. warranty, only my receipt has the warranty. Christopher said that he would honor my receipt. I told him that the second floor gutter is leaking and I thought the gutter above the garage was leaking as well, but I was not sure. I told him to do touch up on that spot to make sure it’s not leaking and he agreed. There is also a new leak above the stairs/front of the house, which is not under warranty. He looked at it. He went to the roof and said that he would be able to put sealer on the gutter above the stairs/front of the house and would not charge me for that. I was appreciative and gave him a Panatone bread as a sign of gratitude. However, the gutter on the second-floor side of the house he could not do, because of the solar panels installed on that side of the roof. He told me that he would come back Tuesday and bring a taller ladder to reach the gutter on the side of the house without going on the roof. He also told me that he would do the gutter above the garage on Tuesday as well, which he could have done right then, since it doesn’t require a taller ladder to reach. I was a little skeptical that he didn’t do it right that moment. When Christopher came on Tuesday, he only did the second-floor gutter on the side of the house. He did not put any sealer on the gutter above the garage as he had promised. So I called their office and I was told that Christopher did not put sealer on the gutter above the garage. Mario called me back and I told him what happened. He said that they don’t do touch up and he ask me whether I was sure that he did not do it and I told him yes, the camera won’t lie. We have a camera, so I can see the activities around the house at real time. Ok, he said he would talk to him and would call back the next day. But I never heard from him since. He told me they don’t do touch up but that’s exactly what they were doing – putting sealer on the same spots which didn’t work in the first place. December and January, it rained a lot, so the spots that Christopher put sealer on started to leak again just after two weeks. The sealer did not work at all. I called their office again, and talked to Chris. I asked whether he is the same Christopher who came to our house two weeks earlier, and he told me that he is Chris and the other guy is Christopher. So, Chris told me that he would send somebody to fix it. I asked him whether he can send somebody on Saturday and he said he would check who was available that day. He called me back and told me that nobody was available. So, I asked about Monday, January 16, 2 weeks later, which was Martin Luther King Day. He said yes. I was willing to wait for another two weeks, so that I could be home to see what they did. Monday came and nobody showed up or called. I called later in the afternoon at around 4pm and got the receptionist. I told her about my appointment that day and she said she would give the message to Chris. Chris did not call me back. On January 18, Carlos left me a message that he was supposed to come on Monday but they were very busy because of an emergency call. I called again the following day and got Carlos. Carlos came Saturday, January 21. I showed him what needed to be fixed and I also mentioned the new spot that Christopher tried to fix without success. He told me that he would take care of everything at no charge, including the new spot without warranty. He said, he wants is to make their customers happy. That’s their company’s theme. However, he couldn’t do anything that day because he didn’t have the tall ladder for our second-floor gutter and the gutter was wet. The gutter needed to be dry for him to fix it, and he did not bring the tools that he needed. He said he would come back on Thursday, January 26 and make sure everything would be fixed. He would apply something different since the sealer didn’t work, but the gutter needed to be dry. I was a little hesitant, because I had been trying to get this done for more than a month. But I said it’s ok as long as he does it on Thursday. Sunday, January 22 through Tuesday, January 24, it was raining a lot, which caused stains to start showing on the second-floor gutter on the side of the house as well as the wall right below the gutter (see attached picture). It looks bad and I don’t know what kind of sealer Christopher used that left marks on the gutter and wall. Wednesday, January 25 through Thursday, January 26, it did not rain, so it was a perfect time for Carlos to do the job. On Thursday, January 26, I called Carlos in the morning to ask him what time he would be going to our house. He did not give me a time but he told me that he would call me before going there and would also call me after they are done. He called me in the afternoon around 1:46 pm and left a message which was hard to understand - something like they were on their way to our house and he called me Tony so he seems he was talking to someone named Tony. I was at work, but I was checking our camera from time to time. I did not see him at our property at all. It was getting late in the afternoon. So, I was getting frustrated and tried to call his number several times, but he was not responding. With my frustration, I called their office and told the receptionist that Carlos was supposed to go to our house that day to fixed our gutters. I guess the receptionist or dispatcher must have called Carlos. After a few minutes, Carlos called me back and told me that he got a flat tire which I found hard to believe. Of all days, he got a flat tire that afternoon. I was fed up and told them that if no one showed up to fix the gutter today, then I would be done with them. I told the receptionist and Carlos that I would write my experience with their company in all websites that I could find. This is not acceptable any more. They were playing games with me. I think they were giving me a hard time because the job is so small and it’s not their priority. If they don’t want to do it, then they can say so, rather than treat a customer like an idiot. The receptionist called me later and told me that Mario was going to my house around 6pm. To do what? To talk to me? There’s nothing to talk about. I want my gutter fixed. That’s all I need. By the way, all the 4 spots that they fixed previously are all leaking after that 3 consecutive days of rain. They have been in the business for so long that they should know better that sealer doesn’t work. It’s just a very quick and temporary fixed with a very high price. After my experience with these people, I started wondering why they come to a worksite and don’t bring the tools they need. They know what the problem is, so they should come prepared. This is not the first time they do their job, and yet they tell me that they don’t have a ladder or special kind of sealer, etc., etc. If they are too busy, then they should use their time wisely by going to their worksite prepared, rather than telling me that they will come
