Look at the reviews, consistent. Surprised that people still are trusting work to this company. Like I said read the reviews very consistent and accurate.

Cost continued to creep up and work never completed. Initially was going well then all work stopped. At first recommended to my 90 year old neighbor who paid in full for no service. Still waiting 12 months later. Willy has my money, I had to pay more to complete the work by someone else. Don't believe the calls after a now show. All smoke and mirrors. Same excuses regarding sick, injury, etc. if true the still should have been completed

They came out for the estimate. They told us that it would be $2000 and that they needed a deposit of $800. We gave them the $800 deposit to get the work started. They said that they would be out there on June 25-26. They called to reschedule because of the storms. They scheduled the new date on the 27th - 29th and never called or showed up. They called back on July 2nd to confirm an appointment on July 4th - 5th. They called to cancel because of rain again. They rescheduled an appointment July 8th – July 10th and never showed up on the appointment. I called them back on July 9th and the secretary who answered said that he had been in an accident and needed some time to reschedule. She called me to reschedule for August 6th – 8th. When the rescheduled date came out they did not follow through with the appointment. I tried to call them many times that day and they never answered the phone. On August 11th, I talked to Charlene, the secretary. We rescheduled the appointment on August 20th. We contacted Angie’s List on August 14th. On August 17th, Charlene told us that they would be out there on August 20th. On August 20th but they never showed up again. On August 27, 2015 Charlene from Falling Limb called to apologize for the issues. She said that they would come any day that we wanted them to. I asked her to e-mail this to me so I had it in writing. They were supposed to be there on August 31, 2015 and they never showed up. I tried to call them and the machine said that the mailbox was full. William Taylor called on September 1, 2015 and told me that he was taking care of all the matters as Charlene had been fired. They scheduled for September 2, 2015 but called to let us know that they had to do it later in the week because they couldn’t get any rooms to stay where the work needed to be done. He scheduled it for the 3rd and the 4th but they didn’t show. Charlene then called who was supposed to be fired to schedule for September 7, 2015. They did not show again.

The tree hit the roof of the house and he will not pay the insurance claim. I had the roof repaired by another contractor, but Falling Limb will not reimburse me the deductible. I have been in contact with him several times and he promises reimbursement, but does not follow through.

This was a $199 big deal purchase. It turned out alright; it is done. They did not charge any extra. The owner of the company said he would come many different times and he did not show up or call. Actually I filed a very negative review earlier; I gave them an F in pretty much everything. When he saw that he said he would come the next day and he would really show up. Then Angie's List called me and said they would erase that review and I agreed to that. Then he performed the work and the work was fine. It is just difficult dealing with him because he did not show up many times when he said he would. I think he could be honest with his customers and show up when he is scheduled. If he is unable to do that then he should call them and explain why. When he finally said he would come, he came.

Originally I purchased a Deal Coupon paying Falling Limb Tree on 7/18 2014 $1100 to trim my backyard trees and was
impressed with the overall experience. The job was completed on July 17 2014 so also on the same day I wrote a check
for $900.00 to cut down a backyard mulberry tree.
Unfortunately, over a year later the tree is still standing despite numerous messages and failed scheduled dates. I am asking
Angie's List to step up and rectify the situation for either a refund of $900.00 or to cut down the mulberry tree as originally agreed
upon.

We paid an extra $1,000. We planted grass around where they needed to cut down trees so we did not want them to come right away. They came in June 20th. When they finally did the work, they did a good job, but their customer service was awful. Their following-up was awful like calling back. The things they could do differently are return phone calls and show up when they say they are going to. They came first in June 20th and they did not finish the work until last week and that was calling them almost every day and there was always an excuse. When they finally got here, it only took them an-hour-and-a-half to finish the work, but it was me constantly calling and hounding. Then, they called me back and they said they would come and they never did. It was awful.

Will (Fallen Limb owner) arrived on time to give me the estimate. Since he had with a crew of four or five guys with him, he said he could do it right then, but that the job was worth $700. I remembered that's what he did the first time I hired him -- upcharging upon arrival. I said no, that I'd already gotten competitive estimates, and it was, at most, a $400 job, for which I'd already paid $199 to Angie's List. I said that maybe it would be worth a bit more if he did some pruning of a Maple and a Pear tree in front of the house. He agreed to an additional fee of $350 to do some of that pruning, but he'd need to use a new crane that he didn't have with him that day. He arranged to come back in "the next week or so," but wanted a $100 CASH deposit. [I've only dealt with two businesses that refuse to deal with credit cards or checks, and it makes me wonder about their business practices. I don't trust them.] When I didn't hear back from Will within a month or so, I sent him an email (through Angie's List, which got his attention) and reminded him that he still had work to do here, and he still had my $100 cash. He had his secretary immediately call me to schedule an appointment for the following week. They didn't show up for the appointment, and didn't call. By this time I finally decided that I've had enough of Fallen Limb Tree Service. I left him a message telling him so, and that I'd have a professional tree service do the work he said he'd do, and that I wanted him to return my deposit. Will, in turn, left me a voicemail that he'd have the deposit back to me by the next week. That was in July and I still don't have my deposit back.

Update 1/3/16:

Falling Limb Tree Service never refunded my $100 deposit, they've never contacted me after this review was published, and they are no longer listed as Angie's List providers. I doubt if they're still in business.

I was so upset, nervous and scared. They were awful. He called and I scheduled a date that they came and I waited here for three hours. They never called or showed up. I called and some girl, very unprofessional, said oh yeah we were going to call you. She rescheduled it for the next day. I had something scheduled the next day and so when they called and said they were at my house I didn't know what to do. I don't want somebody else to use them.

It was a very trying experience to get this job completed. He would make appointments to do it, and would never show up or call to explain why. On at least 3 occasions he scheduled and never showed up and he would not return my calls. Under no circumstances would I ever do business with him again nor would I recommend him to anybody else.

Provider was hired to remove and replace a tree; landscape and put in gravel patio. Cost was $1100.00. Provider was called multiple times thru Summer and Fall. He never followed thru on any dates set. There was $500 paid for gravel, tree and landscaping service. Service wasn't provided and money was not refunded. Communication was poor. The business reporting multiple incidents that prevented him from fulfilling his obligation when I called him. They never called me back to follow thru. They didn't take any responsibility to let me know what was going on or why. He generated business with this offer, took my money, didn't follow thru or explain why. If there was some type of illness or other explanation for his lack of follow thru; I would like to have known it. The key is that he took money for services never rendered.
