Fast Rhino is truly a primo computer repair business. Merlin and his staff are highly knowledgeable and competent, very trustworthy, and both professional and personable, at the same time. They take the concept of customer service to a whole new level! They never fail to keep the customer regularly informed on the progress of repairs, or problems they encounter. My large screen iMac failed to boot up. I called Fast Rhino and they instructed me to bring the computer to their shop, since boot failure indicated a likely problem with the hard drive. Turned out, the hard drive had crashed. Fast Rhino diligently tried, but was unable to recover data from that hard drive, and so Merlin, the owner, directed me to DriveSavers, a company that specializes in data recovery in a “clean room” atmosphere. Unfortunately, DriveSavers was also unable to recover anything from the crashed hard drive. Fast Rhino installed a new hard drive into my disabled iMac, which is now running very well. Merlin even set up Time Machine on my repaired iMac, to help me avoid any further data losses. These people go more than the extra mile! Fast Rhino’s prices are extremely reasonable, both for computer repair and the products they sell. Also, they service Apple computers, so no longer do you Mac users have to wade through the Apple Store’s customer service system, only to be told they cannot help you. Without reservation, I highly recommend Fast Rhino. In the future, I’ll turn to them again for any computer repair needs. Importantly, they do make house calls, and they do recycle electronics for you.

Merlin walked me through some procedures in troubleshooting my connectivity issue while on the phone. I had called to schedule a service call but the immediate problem was handled over the phone with no service call and I was back up and connected in less than 30 minutes! Service above and beyond! Got me back up and running and gave advice on next steps in determining why the problem arose. Very grateful for the help and will use again for other computer issues. <br />

<p>Enabled the laptop I <em>work</em> from home on to print. My laptop was completely unable to print. </p> <p>Fixed my internet connection which was very inconsistent. These first 2 items made it impossible to get my job done. </p> <p>By correcting/fixing my internect connection he also "hid" my printers wireless connection so that the printer is not visible to anyone who is not already connected to my home network - this closed a backdoor entrance to my home network through my wireless pritner. </p> <p>He repaired my entire Office Suite so that the error message that appeared each time Word opened is gone & my system recognizes all MS Office extensions once again. </p> <p>Like all Fast Rhino representatives he arrived promptly within 10 minutes of my scheduled appointment. I asked about a backup product for issues that Web Root missed or that got by it & he not only had a suggestion but he downloaded & installed a product he had experience with, that he knew worked well with Web Root & was only $25 per year. </p> <p>Best of all he had ME test my programs and run through several things to make sure they were working properly before he left. <br /> <br /></p> <p>He was quick, proficient, & accomplished everything I asked of him. </p> <p><br /></p> <br />

We have just moved and I could not get my email program to work. Stephen Schober at Fast Rhino not only fixed the email program but tuned up a few other things as well. He also fixed my husband's computer to wireless print. He was very knowledgeable, efficient and thorough. A very polite and pleasant young man. I will certainly call for him again when I have other computer problems--and in case you are wondering, I have a MAC and it's not always easy to find someone to repair them. <br />

The technician was very honest and let my husband know they would not be able to repair the computer. They told us we would have to take the computer to Geek squad. They think the computer may need a new hard drive. It is very easy to get the laptop into Geek squad, as well.

This was my 2nd exprience with this business in 2014. Seperate computers of course. lol. I also brought a 2 month old copmuter of my sons for repair and instead of taking the job they reccomended he return it to the big box store even though he lost his receipt of purchase. They suggested he print out his bankstatement showing the amount he paid for it. It worked and he got a new one in 10 minutes at no cost as it should have been, 1st class operation here. My laptop was determined to succumb to the blue screen of death. It did not even stay booted up long enough to read the screen of death. The only way it would remain on was to open in safe mode. First, I tried to run my virus protection. And it wouldn't run. Next, I tried system restore. But all previous restore points beyond 10 days were gone or hidden. And those two recent points did nothing. Then, I tried to delete anything newly downloaded. It still crashed. My next attempt was to reload my virus protection. Still in safe mode, it saved it but it wouldn't run to install it. <br /> So not being a computer geek, I was out of options and checked Angie's List for repair alternatives. Most of the repair service options started at $59 for a cleaning. I knew I was beyond a cleaning so I kept calling to find someone who wouldn't break the bank and gave me an alternative to buying a new laptop. I was determined to not lose any data and to stay with Windows 7. <br /> <strong>FAST RHINO</strong> was exactly what I was looking for. Their fee was $149 for labor. ALL LABOR. Yes it was more than a $59 cleaning but so was my problem. They had hoped to have my laptop done in 2 days but it was even giving them a challenge. They downloaded everything from my machine into their system to "scrub" it while they worked on the actual problem. They tried to clone my drive but that didn't work at this point either. They finally called and told me I would probably need a new hard drive (for the record a ton of memory at a great price). They thought the multiple crashes might have damaged it since it wasn't allowing cloning. So I gave them the go ahead. Let me say that some of the problem was that my laptop did not come with recovery disks. It is proprietary. So the new drive was off the table. <br /> For the record, I am 60+ and of the generation where the 90% of us who "use" a computer actually know nothing about them. So what I am relating is with that limited understanding. With the new drive no longer an option they put the old drive in and continued to look for alternative solutions. And they succeeded. Reloaded everything. There was no data loss. They only loss was that I needed to reload my programs like for the camera, genealogy, cards etc in order to open data. <br /> They worked on that laptop for nearly a week and solved the problem. For all that time & effort, the labor cost of $149. They are awesome. I will always go to them before I try to solve the problem myself from now on. I STRONGLY recommend them for their tenacity and dedication in resolving your computer issues. <br />

Very friendly and helpful, I chose to take my lap top to them instead of having a technician come to my home. When I arrived they powered it up were able to diagnose it on the spot and and were able to tell me what it needed. They gave me a quote and told me when it should be done. It was done on time and at budget. My lap top never worked so well. I would highly reccomend this company for all computer needs whether its a repair or purchase. They have some great product on display at there store. I am very pleased with the service from Fast Rhino. I spent over $300 for an advanced tech service on line along with a monthly fee and my computers were worse than before the service. I decided to join Angies List to find a reliable real person for my computer needs. Fast Rhino was the service people I chose. I took my desktop pc into the shop and explained my pc problems. They said they would have a tech look at it and before any major repair or the need of new hardware they would call me first. I took my pc in on a Monday, they said they would probably have it done by Thursday, they called me Wednesday and said they were done. <br /> <br />When they call themselves "Fast Rhino" they mean it. The staff is courteous, very professional and I Highly recommend this business for all your computer needs. (Oh, and I got my full refund from advance tech on line and cancelled my service with them.) <br /> <br />Support your local businesses and a live person, and always check on Angies List first. <br /> <br /> Fast Rhino I would give an A+ <br />

Merlin arrived punctual and ready to work. In a professional and friendly manner, Merlin efficiently and expertly took care of our various requirements and provided explanations and advice on the go. Fast Rhino I used in January and last summer. I paid $ 149. They are very, very competent. They know their stuff. They had it ready when they said they would We have been satisfied with their work both times that we used them on two laptops now.
