Fence Hut

They took my deposit and never showed up to do the work. I've left over a dozen messages and have not heard back.

Salesperson came to give us a quote on 7/25. Put a deposit down on 7/26. Was told they were 3-4 weeks out. Contacted via e-mail on 8/4 and told my installation date was 9/11 and that a crew would show up at 7:30-9:30 AM. I thought they made a mistake and that they were really coming on 8/11, but was told that the salesperson was wrong they are 6 weeks out on scheduling. 9/11 came and no crew showed up. Called them at 10 AM asking what's going on. They gave a song and dance about letting an employee go and he had messed with their calendar so they don't know who was scheduled. (apparently they weren't able to restore a back-up or even recreate it from e-mail conversations). They just left all of their customer hanging, but they said they cleared the next week so they could get my fence installed. They said on 9/11 they would ask for an emergency utility locate (811) and would the there on Tuesday or Wednesday since they see my fencing in their yard and were wondering about whose it was. (really?) Here I am on Thursday (9/17) no 811 has been completed. Fence hut has no ghosted me and will not return any of my communications. I paid 50% and they are simply gone. Time for a civil suit to get my money back and go to a reputable company I guess. Really sad.

Needed to replace fence/gates on either side of our home. This would be just under 35ft of fencing including 2 gates. Wanted a modern, wood fence with horizontal slats. The selling point for Fence Hut was a site built fence with aluminum frames for the gate. Day of install (end of April) they had a miscue as the wrong gate frames were brought. After a week delay installation day came. One side of the fence/gate looked fine the other looked like a bad DIY. The fence and gate are crooked. The gate looks larger than the fence panel, causing it to drag along the ground. I made the mistake of paying upon completion (my bad) but reached out to them quickly to remedy the situation. A credible company would have wanted to quickly repair a crooked, subpar fence/gate. Fence Hut did not. We informed the project mgr, Charity of the need for repair- and it was nothing but lip service. Lots of apologies-with no action. We sent pictures so they could have an idea of what we needed repaired. All to no avail.- Charity shifted the responsibility to Manny, the Operations mgr. More phone calls later got a confirmation from Charity who with Manny confirmed the repair would happen middle of June. No one showed up. Tried calling Charity, no answer. Talked to another associate who said repair would be done end of June, some workers showed up but couldn’t do anything, as they didn’t have the materials. Such a waste of time. Told repair would happen July 2- Again NO Show. Not even a courtesy call. My husband spoke to Justin (mgr?)who gave some weird “I don’t look back only forward” speech when my husband complained of the crap service. Only after I had sent photos with measurements did it finally dawn on them the gate frame was too big! Would have saved some time if someone would have thought to take measurements. FINALLY 2 workers came and installed a new gate. This is not a customer focused company. It’s absolutely painful getting any response or, more importantly, any action. Possibly they do best with vinyl fencing but if you are looking for a premium, wood fence- Look elsewhere! The lack of service speaks volumes in how they back up the quality of their product.

Fence Hut Timeline Contract: Signed 07/06/2020 50 % Deposit: Paid 7/07/2020 HOA Approval: Fence Hut advised 07/09/2020 of HOA approval for fencing project. Permit: Issue date 07/16/2020 Install Date: Advised 07/23/2020 installation was on 08/20/2020. At 2:52PM on 08/18/2020 advised installation date has been moved to 09/16/2020 because the fencing “manufacturer has JUST notified us that shipments are being delayed.” On 07/02/2020 a review was posted on Facebook with a similar experience. Deposit paid 6 weeks before scheduled installation and it was postponed because of delays from Fence Hut’s warehouse. A 50% deposit should cover the cost for most if not all of the fencing material. Fence Hut was aware of shipment delays as early as 07/02/2020 if not earlier. Fence Hut had already been experiencing product delays and did not have the foresight to order materials as soon as a deposit was received and install date schedule. The current material shortage at Fence Hut is not because of Covid-19 it is Fence Hut’s inability to order materials when an installation is scheduled and properly manage their inventory. Concerned about further delays and the workmanship of the installation. Not happy with the service Fence Hut offers.

We had an excellent experience working with the team at Fence Hut. The price, team, and quality of work was great throughout the entire process. From estimate to install everything was top notch. Highly recommend this company, do not hesitate to hire them!

Everything went pretty good except that they left huge holes in my yard where they had dug up the old fence posts, they did not fill them in or mark them so that no one would step in them and get hurt. The price was good so I guess you get what you pay for.

The work was supposed to be completed in one day. I took the day off. On the day the work was supposed to be completed, they left early telling me that they didn’t have the correct brackets. 2 minutes after they left our neighborhood Cable Company, Infinity, came into my yard saying that they cut the cable to the neighborhood in my yard even though someone had marked all cables in my yard. Before the Fence Hut guys left, I asked if they would give me a heads up when they said they could complete the work the next day. He said he would text me & even send pics. After I texted/called the office the next day I was told the work was completed without my knowledge. When I got home & inspected, I could fit a fist between the gate post & the lock on both sides. One post was chipped along the fence, facing the street. I sent pictures to them. After numerous calls, that I said I wanted to be home when they could come back, I finally got an appointment, when they “could be in my area” approximately 6 weeks after the initial work. I took the day off, they came over @ 3:55pm. They centered the gates as best they could and replaced the broken post. They poured cement in the replacement post but placed dirt in place of water around the post. There’s now a dent where there pushed the replaced post into the dry cement too. I’m disappointed at their work after the sales guy, Tony, told me that they didn’t use Contractors. That was my selling point at the time. Again, very disappointed. I didn’t add pictures but will add if anyone is interested. I didn’t mention that they broke my irrigation system & tried to hide that they broke one of the sprinkler heads. They also moved 2 storage units off the their base and didn’t tell me until I accidentally found them.

Excellent. Fence removed and replaced on schedule. Materials used top quality. Work done by professionals. Best looking fence in the area. Pleasure to deal with the personnel at Fence Hut. Have and will recommend Fence Hut to anyone needing a new fence.

Hunter, our salesman came out and measured it all up and then sent a drawing with all measurements with proposed price of work. He was very professional and courteous. All the people that we talked to from the office to the men who did the job were very professional as well. Very pleased with the work they performed.

Fence Hut did our new vinyl Gates. You will not get any better company to do your gates and fencing. All of the installers were very polite and professional. We did not have to pick up or clean anything when they finished their job. I will give them 10 gold stars. Hunter Brinson and Kari Stevens they were awesome to work with!!!!!

Fence Hut did an outstanding job on my fence install. I had a board on board fence installed to replace an existing 15 year old fence. The crew did an outstanding job and my new fence is beautifully made with quality materials. I cannot recommend them highly enough!

Fence Hut proved capable of all the details concerning the fence installation at my place. They contacted the HOA with all the paperwork and ensured that everything was correct to get approval. The fence installers were kind, efficient, and caused minimal disruption in my daily activities. So far I am happy with the end result.

From the first phone call Kari was super friendly and very professional. She was able to schedule someone to come out within two days for an estimate. Jeremy, the sales person was very knowledgeable with the different options for the fencing. I got several other estimates however Fence Hut was far the most reasonable and professional. I will recommend Fence Hut to all my friends and neighbors.
