Fine Floors is a small family owned and run company with two locations in San Antonio. We offer all types of flooring, cabinetry, and blinds. We also offer design and installation services performed by family members and long time employees. The sales office was good, displays good, response to measure house was prompt, I felt installation took to long after paying down payment of $1100.00 to order carpet, it was done 9 days later, plus installer did not clean up after installing new carpet, there were installation nails left inside the house, pic below, and on drive way, carpet padding trash, bits and pieces were not picked up, pic below, bits and pieces of carpet installation, and carpet fuzz everywhere, not vacuumed, very unprofessional considering i paid an additional $1079.0 for installation, carpet trash also left in closets, where carpet was installed, lots of fuzz, fibers, , I had left the sales office a voicemail on a question on when the carpet would be installed after leaving a downpayment, and I was not called back, plus after carpet was installed i was not emailed a receipt until i notified the office by phone that i wanted a receipt for the installation charge.

I hope that in the future we do a better job living up to expectations. The carpet was ordered on 10-4-17. It was special ordered, delivered, and installed on 10-13-17, seven working days later. The installation could have taken place faster, but you were out of town and we coordinated installation with your property management company. We really had no idea that there was any rush. I also wanted to point out that the two payment were not for materials first and then labor, but that it was half down and the remainder upon completion of the total job. I am really sorry about the lack of clean up after completion. I don't know why it was not done, but we would be happy to return to properly clean up at any time. If you would prefer, I would be happy to send a separate professional cleaning company out to clean the entire home. At Fine Floors we always want to do as good a job as we can, but we are not perfect by any stretch of the imagination. Please call us at 210-732-0744 if you would like us to come out again."

It was vinyl planking, it looks just like wood. It is oil-resistant, wear-resistant, it has almost like a lifetime guarantee on it. After walking around and looking at it, I saw a few things that they could have fixed, but they had already gone and we were just glad to have our house back. They used quarter round instead of the original three-quarter round. If they had used the three-quarter round then you wouldn't have been able to walk around and see little spots that they might have cut the piece a little shorter than what it needed to be. I'm nit picking now because I see it, whereas other people walk in, they probably wouldn't see it, but I know it's there. My wife is happy, so I'm happy. There were a few things that they could have done better, but overall, they did an excellent job. All the guys were very professional. They even helped me move a few things when they didn't have to. The owner of the place came out and did the measurements and everything.

All work was completed in less than a week. Miguel Rios and his crew did an excellent job with the floors. They had to level the concrete floors/foundation in some places for proper installation. <br /> I did not want the blinds installed until the dust (stirred up from removal of the carpet) was removed from the walls and windows. <br /> They cleaned up the dust and then the blinds were installed in one day. Installation of the blinds was well-done. <br /> I am really enjoying my new beautiful floors! So glad I got rid of all that carpet. <br /> I called Fine Floors several months later to fix a minor problem. Miguel came out very soon after that call and fixed the problem. <br /> Thank you to Miguel and his crew for a job well done! <br />

<strong>They took an extra day to complete it from what was estimated, but that didn't affect the cost, so I did not really care. The finished result was exactly what I wanted, which was the fantastic look of dark hardwood flooring with the benefits of porcelain. It's easy to maintain, and there are no scratches from my 100+ pound dogs. I'm writing this review 2 years after installation, and I have not come across any problems or issues. I would use them again if and when I move...since I can't take my floors with me!</strong> <br />

I highly recommend Fine Floors. They have an excellent team that will help you find exactly what you want at a competitive price. Their install team is top notch, you won't be disappointed. I've included a detailed account of my experience with this company below. I'm a general contractor and the operations manager for Parthenon Contracting. One my most important responsibilities is to identify and evaluate companies based on several performance measures. The three core measures are competitiveness, quality and speed. We have the saying "you only get to pick two, but can't have all three". Fine floors has proven to be an exception to that rule. The owners have created an amazing culture and I've had a great experience every time I've come in. Competitiveness - It's my job to the know market prices and I have a base line price before getting estimates on anything. While this isn't true for every product line they carry, they have negotiated prices with product suppliers that allow them offer very competitive prices. Now, I'm not talking about the cheap and overstock type product like you see advertised at some stores . I'm talking some the best flooring collections on the market. On the other side of things, they have well trained and efficient installers which of course lowers their cost making them competitive in that area as well. Quality - I've already covered the product they carry, but it's the quality of service that sets them apart. They love what they do and it shows. They are very well informed on their products and are happy to sit down with you and explain the differences. Despite spending a significant amount of time researching products, I can't be an expert on all the products in every field related to remodels and construction. I reply on companies and individuals that have earned my trust to educate me, explain the most important considerations and guide me to finding the best solution to unique projects. I can't over state my confidence in how well they know their business and details of the products they carry. The final element highlighting the quality of service they have is their design work. I've only worked with the co-owner Jacqueline, but her advice and insight was invaluable when I remodeled my home. I work with a highly skilled architect and regularly do basic design layouts myself, however I don't offer fashion advice or I would be unemployed. Jackie saved the day and sent me home a hero when I struggling with bringing everything together. I came in with photos and a vague ideal of what I wanted. Turns out my wife (or anyone) wasn't going to love the ancient Egyptian theme with Victorian era elements and abstract artwork. She broke out color charts, fashion books and examples on the web to help me get a clue. In the end most of plans changed the remodel came out perfect and my wife does hate me. <br />

I purchased the deal on Angie's List. My husband and I went to the provider's store the next weekend, to choose our tile. Everyone at the store was very courteous, knowledgeable, and willing to answer any questions we had. <br /> We chose a tile, but could not set an appointment at that time. They let us take home a sample tile, so we could be sure it was right for our decor. (It was.) When we learned my husband's upcoming works schedule, we made an appointment for a date he would be home. <br /> The workmen arrived within the scheduled 2-hour window and set to work. They worked quickly, cleaning up any mess as they went. The job was completed in about five hours. We are very pleased with both the quality of the materials and the skill with which they were installed.

We had purchased a home and after closing, we saw that carpets were in bad shape and would all need to be replaced. We were leaving town for 2 weeks and moving in immediately after our return. We had dealt with Joe on a small job at our prior home so went to visit his showroom. Joe responded immediately by going out to the house, taking samples and measuring so we could pick the flooring and get an estimate. We were able to quickly decide with his input and agreed on installation the following week. We left out of town on 8/27/14 and returned on 9/10/14 to absolutely beautiful floors-the wood is gorgeous and carpeting looks great. We weren't here to check on things as they were working but came home to a completed job with total cleanup. What a deal! <br /> The total bill was more than I had anticipated paying but we are so satisfied with both the products and workmanship as well as the service, it was worth every penny. It's great to work with providers that you can trust and do what they say they will do. Fine Floors certainly exhibits those qualities.

After you visited our store, we found that you were in need of services that we do not provide prior to getting your new floor installed. We referred you to a general contractor to do the other needed work before flooring. In the end, the contractor purchased the flooring from us and installed it. We have no record of selling this floor directly to you or any record of us performing the installation. If there is a negative review to be filed, please attach it to the contractor hired to do the work in your home. Here at Fine Floors, we are extremely proud of the services we provide and the reputation we have with Angie's List. We would really hate to have our rating negatively affected by a job that we didn't even do!"

They had great prices and did very good work. We had a few minor issues which we called them about. They came back, redid the sections of the floor just because there were three small problem areas. The floors look beautiful. They are extremely responsive if there is any problems and are willing to fix it at no additional charge.

The people at Fine Floors were very knowledgable about the products they sell. The installers were very professional and courteous. The complete job was estimated to take 3 days and was actually done in 2 days. The wood floor was installed in the dining room on the first day and the carpet was installed the second day. The quality of the flooring we purchased was exceptional and was very reasonably priced. In addition, the quality of the work performed by the installers was also exceptional. Our next project is to put new flooring in our game room upstairs. When we are ready to do this we will most definitely call on the people at Fine Floors. <br />

So far the quote is outstanding. They are by far the most professional company that has come into my house to give me a quote. Their appearance and the way they communicate with me is really professional. They are very polite. They are the only people I’ve seen that actually do legitimate drawings and measurements. I originally got a quote from them a year and a half ago for wood floors. I have now changed how much I want to do and also switched to tile floor. They were able to tool my measurements and had exact drawings of my house in their system so I didn’t have to go through the whole process again. They remembered me from the last time and they are really nice people to deal with.

<p>Jackie and her staff at the show room know their business. My wife and I had different styles/colors in mind, but they helped us find the perfect selection we both liked. They have many to choose from in the show room and they let us take samples home to determine the best match for our decor. The show room staff was great, and the installation crew was even better. Mike and his team carefully moved everything out, and carefully covered all affected areas of the house to prevent dust. At the very start we found that the moisture/humidity level was high, I elected to have an added moisture barrier put down over my floor to prevent possible damage to the wood. They gave me the option of buying the sealant myself and they apply it, or they offered to buy and install it at the cost of materials only. I did the research and elected to have them procure it and install it. </p> The job was scheduled for Friday and Saturday, but since the moisture barrier was put down on Friday, that meant the wood was installed on Saturday. They worked throughout the day and completed the installation. They also replaced and painted a 12 ft base board that had cracked, at no extra cost (I bought the board and paint). Mike returned on Sunday, normally his day off, to do a final inspection and clean up. He hand-wiped the entire floor on his hands and knees, it looked outstanding when he was done. <br /> This is sixth house I've had wood floors and carpet installed in, the third by Fine Floors. The work was absolutely stellar from start to finish. The care with the furniture, the dust protection, perfect installation, wood and stone interfaces, clean up, and professional presence overall are the best I have ever encountered. They are the benchmark for floor installation, period. <br />

Okay, ONLY USE FINE FLOORS from now on...these people are unbelievably wonderful. Joe Stegman (mgr/owner I think) is one of the nicest people ever. Gave us a reasonable flooring quote, walked us through the showroom. Due to lung issues, had to have flooring replaced as soon as possible. His guys showed up as scheduled within three days, quiet, respectful, clean, everything was done to perfection. Even my sister, who has very high standards was beyond impressed. Our 'laminate' flooring looks like real hand-scraped hardwood and believe me, you cannot tell the difference. <br /> I cannot recommend Fine Floors enough. Don't even bother with anyplace else.
