"Hello. I never did any work in El Cerrito...You got the wrong company! El Cerrito is extremely far from me. I would have never traveled that far to give you a quote. Delete your post and input it on the right company."
"Thank-you so much for taking the time and writing a wonderful review for us. We strive very hard to please our customers, therefore I am only happy when my customers are happy. It was a pleasure meeting you and your husband and also working for you. I am very sorry if you felt that my responsiveness was a B and will try my very best to improve in the future. I hope the both of you will enjoy your new house for many years to come. Best wishes, Bill P."
"The COUPON was for painting 2 Bedrooms for $350, WALLS ONLY. It was detailed out in the fine print so you knew this when you purchased it. Anything else, (door jambs, casing, doors) is an added extra charge since it s not covered in the coupon deal. This was explained to you, and you said you understood from our email correspondence. A coupon, is totally different from a bid. In your response, you claimed I'm making a lot of money off of this. Let me break it down to you. My painters that were there are paid hourly at $25 and $17 an hour. Angie's list takes 25% of the coupon amount. Meaning, I'm left over with $262.50 to paint two rooms. Paper, tape, plastic...$40. Do the math, IM NOT MAKING ANY MONEY OFF THIS. It just keeps my workers busy for that one day. I never recommended the amount of paint to you. Check your emails. I would NEVER recommend 3 gallons of paint, for a regular size room of walls only. Thats insane. I think you got confused with asking a paint associate from the store from me. The coupon, was NOT for texturing, it was for painting WALLS ONLY. I told you I could texture it for an extra amount but you wanted to texture it using small spray cans that you buy from Home depot. Those are only MEANT for small areas that are patched. Anybody who knows anything about texturing, knows you DON'T USE small orange peel texturing cans to texture all 4 your WALLS IN EACH ROOM. I told you I would bring a hopper gun thats connected to a compressor to texture your room correctly. Then it would have to be primed, then painted to be done right but you didn't want to pay the extra cost. You refused and said you would do it yourself. In which you did and it looked unprofessional because it is NOT supposed to be done that way. Painting is not going to fix an unprofessional texturing job you did on top of the skip trowel texture that originally existed. You had my crew paint over your texturing job with low quality grade paint, and no primer. It took three coats to cover. The B quality came from your texturing job. Paint is NOT going to fix your B quality texturing job. You NEVER use “SPRAY CANS” to texture your WALLS in your rooms. I charged $50 (NOT $75 as stated in customers review) to paint the door inside the room. Outside the room is your hallway, which you did not tell us to paint. I did not charge you to paint the casing trim around the door, so you saved $70. Additionally, the coupon was for SANTA CLARA COUNTY ONLY. Your area was an hour and half drive away. We didn't charge you the added extra fee, which is normally $100 more. You did not inquire about the coupon and just purchased it, assuming it was for your area. As far as ratings, you gave us a B for quality, one painter that was there has over 17 years of experience while the has over 4. The rating of “B” for quality is ridiculous. The B quality came from your unprofessional texturing job, not from our painting (since it was painted 3 coats). Don't try to do it yourself and link the “B” quality to our paint job from the flaws in your walls. Second, you gave a B for pricing in which I broke it down and showed you how I make no money. Thirdly, on punctuality you gave us a B when YOU were 10 minutes late to the job site because you were out doing laundry, leaving my painters waiting for you. You gave me a B for responsiveness, but I responded back to every one of your emails. Professionalism everything was explained to you. Everything was taped off. My painters were courteous. So why the B? Lastly, I will no longer offer these coupons since 70% of customers understand them and the other 30% are just confused."
"WHAT? ARE YOU SERIOUS??!! Why didn't you explain what we did that was so terrible?! Angie's List customers please note that Customer DID NOT EXPLAIN just how terrible a job myself and my company did. Don't you think this to be strange and odd? Customer also falsified pricing and put $2,400 was paid when in reality it was $1,275. Since Angie's List gives an invoice list of customers who purchased coupons, I have this as proof. What I don't get is that customer wrote we did a “terrible job,” yet when she asked us to correct mistakes her boyfriend made when he tried to paint, she was happy. We did this for free and did not charge them. The only thing that was terrible was when you wanted me to fix your boyfriend's terrible paint job for free. The other terrible thing was me accepting this job because you wanted everything done for free. You added extra work, nickel and dimed me. You eyeballed my paint job up and down and an inch away from the wall. I admit that I'm a picky person and my paint jobs are always perfect as you can find in my honest reviews. This customer wanted my paint job to fix her horrible drywall repair that she recently had done by a different company for free. Cosmetically, if you paint your broken fingernails, the paint is NOT going to fix your BROKEN NAIL. If my paint job was so terrible, then why did you ask me to paint the ceiling in the master bedroom after the fact? Of course she wanted that painted for free and when I gave her an additional work quote, she went berserk. This customer would take my helpers behind my back and have them clean the paint mess her and her boyfriend left on the cabinets, floors etc. when they themselves painted the kitchen. I personally went to the job site countless of times at Flora Lu's "request" to perform these so called "touch ups" only to find out they were finger prints left by her and her boyfriend when he changed the light bulb!!!! There was even bloody finger prints. I finally had enough and told her that the job is done and that she couldn't keep calling my company every single time she or her boyfriend left finger prints on the wall !!!!!!' After all the added extra work I did for free and the countless times I went to this customers house to satisfy her, I can't believe she would leave this falsified review.... I ended up painting baseboards, closets, casings, windowsills, though out the house with zero profit. Another falsified statement was she paid $2400..??? I wish. $900 was the total amount I got paid for 5 painters, 2 days, 10 to 11 hours a day. and the other 3 days I came by myself for supposedly touch ups. Bottom line - I leave my jobs clean and impeccable. This was the reason why I went to her house so many times... Coming back for finger print touch ups that they kept leaving was getting a little redundant and not fair. My grades. I got a B for pricing, Hmmm. I made no money and came out my pocket $82.00. Not sure how that grade works. Quality....F.... then why couldn't she explain in the review what was terrible about it? False. My responsiveness an A but my punctuality an F? If I recall, I WAITED A few times for her to get home. My punctuality, I was always on time. so that was false. My professionalism....99%of the times she wasn't even home till the last hour of the day at 9pm at night. There were never any issues about my employees or anything. We just worked so thats false. I believe in karma, so what goes around comes around!"
