Finer Remodeling

We had Finer Remodeling finish the unfinished part of our basement. They delivered what was promised on time and on budget. The craftsmanship in particular was excellent and we appreciated that they did their own plumbing and electrical work, so no need for additional subcontractors.

I love everything they did, they were quick and efficient.

Eric, Mike and Bill with Finer remodeling did a fantastic job! They were always ready and willing to adapt to some of the unique requests we had, and they found ways to make everything work as we envisioned. They stuck to the timeline and budget. We would definitely use them again!

Finer Remodeling constructed a new deck for us. The project was scheduled and started on time. Once underway, it was completed very quickly and with close attention to detail. Communication was excellent along the way.

Finer Remodeling just finished building a wrap-around porch and a new sunroom to our house (as well as new basement stairs and large pantry). We are thrilled with the end results! Eric and his crew were prompt, skilled, hard-working, funny, and easy-to-deal with. Eric pays attention to EVERY DETAIL, making sure each part of the project is done to the highest level; nothing is left unfinished. Eric has an excellent understanding of the entire scope of projects, including design and style. This project could not have gone more smoothly.

Eric sold himself on his work ethic and quality of finished product. However, after a month of trying to get him to return to touch up some inferior grout work, he refused. He offered to send the worker who initially did the work, but why would I want someone who did the job poorly the first time? The problem really is that his crew needs his supervision constantly or they completely slack off. Two of his workers spent more time smoking than working. I was present at the house the entire time and I finally told Eric that they were not welcome back the following day. After that the job went pretty well. Eric does know his trade, and there is no question he is capable of completing a well done job. Unfortunately, he cannot manage certain crew members, and that leads to work slowing down, and frustration on his part since he has to pick up their slack. BUT, that is not the customer's problem. Sometimes, there is touch up after a job like this, no big deal. I asked, I waited, and I was refused. All this after paying in full. This review would have reflected a positive note had Eric showed some integrity.

Everything went great. Eric and his crew went at the job full-on from the start. We only have one bathroom in the house yet Eric was able to minimize our time spent in a motel to one night -- Great Customer Service. Eric kept us up to date every morning on what they were planning on doing that day and kept us in the loop with all that was going on. Everybody was a hard worker, punctual and respectful. The price was reasonable. The project was completed early and my wife is so pleased, she can't believe it's the same house. She just loves everything that Finer Remodeling has done with our house. I would definitely trust Eric and his crew with any future work I need to have completed and highly recommend him.

Eric and his people do excellent work.  He listened to my wife's vision for each of our projects, understood what she wanted, explained to her why certain things were or were not feasible and offered alternatives where applicable.  He is extremely communicative and accessible, and he and his crew were always friendly and professional.  Whenever we had questions or concerns, Eric addressed them quickly and thoroughly, and we also recommended him to my mother-in-law to have her kitchen re-done.  We already have plans to bring Eric back for further renovations in the near future. <br />

We have used Finer Remodeling for four projects all the way up to an addition to our house. This most recent project was like all of our other experiences: he hit his price and completion date with a high quality product. The owner does his own work and has a small crew of trustworthy workers he brings in as needed. He gives excellent consultation and does so genuinely, he does not look to upcharge everything or milk every dollar. He's much more interested in happy customers. We've referred him to a countless number of neighbors and friends and have always gotten good feedback on the work he has done. <br />

Every job performed by Eric has been a complete sucess. He sticks to his original quote, never asks for more money, and always completes the work right on time. When he is working a job at my house, he is there all day every day from beginin to end. He is clean, considerate, and always willing to be flexible to change requests and unforseen circumstances.

We have known Eric and Finer Remodeling since 2002.  He/they have done several projects in our home including: removing an old bay window and replacing with sliding French Doors; updating the heating in the rear of our home that was under served by our radiant system; and replacing plumbing to our second floor bath that included tearing out a substantial portion of our Living Room ceiling.  We live in a 1930?s home, Eric/Finer Remodeling has made every effort to maintain the style/integrity of our home so  hat all work looks seamless and original to the home. <br /> <br /> When it came to remodeling our kitchen, our first and only choice was Finer Remodeling.  We knew that Eric would work with us to replace our severely dated and dark 1970?s kitchen to one that was more functional and consistent with the style of our <br /> Colonial Revival home.  Our initial consultation consisted of measurements, a thorough discussion of needs/wants, and the decision to retain a galley kitchen vs. blowing it open to the adjoining Breakfast Room.  From that point, Eric and his <br /> Kitchen Designer worked with us to design a kitchen that was brighter, more open, and significantly increased our storage. <br /> From the start of the project until the end, Eric and his team arrived every day on time, worked diligently, cleaned up afterward, and kept us abreast of the project and next steps. The project started with a complete gut of out outdated kitchen and <br /> opening it to the adjoining mud room/entry. From there they installed new/updated electrical, dry wall and installed <br /> the new cabinetry.  In the adjoining Breakfast Room, they built a custom Butler?s Pantry that truly looks original to <br /> the home.  All cabinets are antique white with and finished to the ceiling with a custom crown molding.  Counter tops are Black Pearl with a leather finish.  The kitchen was finished with white subway tile and grey grout.  Under cabinet lighting, pendent over the sink, and new lighting fixtures in the entry/Breakfast Room complete the renovation and bring cohesion to the three areas. <br /> <br /> In the end we have what we originally desired, a brighter, and more functional and open kitchen that has more functionality. We knew that Eric/Finer Remodeling would do a great job but the end product has far exceeded all of our expectations and we regularly reflect on the awesomeness of the end product.

Eric/Finer Remodeling built a bathroom in our basement in March 2016. <br /> I initially found out about Finer Remodeling through neighborhood recommendations. I interviewed several contractors and Eric was definitely the front runner. He was very responsive by phone and email and turned an estimate around quickly. His price was fair and reasonable. I also had the opportunity to see the quality of his work beforehand and was impressed with what I saw. <br /> Once he began our project, he was on site personally every day until the job was done. During construction, communication was good and the whole job went smoothly. He was done in two weeks. The bathroom looks great and we are very happy with the results. <br /> I?d definitely recommend Eric/Finer Remodeling to others and wouldn't hesitate to call him again for my next project.
