Mike arrived on time and prepared - he is very friendly and an extremely talented carpenter - he measured our space - listened to our ideas and was able to bring our ideas to life on that first meeting with even an estimate and the price was just what we were looking for.

Mike custom built/replaced all the kitchen cabinet doors and replaced the drawers in this 65 year old house.  Cabinets were not square and had odd sizing.  He replaced all with easy open doors and slide out - full extension drawers.  Did a meticulous job.  Kitchen looks more modern and easier to use.  Many thanks. <br>

Mike did an excellent job on the pull out shelves for our kitchen.  He came up with a clever solution for putting in a pullout in a difficult corner of the kitchen that saved us a bunch of money.  His work is beautiful and done with great craftsmanship.  When it came to putting the doors on the cupboards we had put in years ago he matched the other cabinets in the house perfectly.  On top of this he alerted us to the issue of water damage we had to our other cabinet doors and gave us a recommendation of a cabinet refinisher that turned out to be incredible.  We are very pleased with Mike's work and will use his services in the future. <br />

Michael was on time, and did quality work.  Very knowledgeable and friendly. Cut out old door frame and replaced with new one returning security to deadbolt. I would recommend him to anyone. <br />

Mike was always prompt, efficient, and friendly / easy to deal with.  Even if we asked him to change something, he was glad to do so.   He also worked with the tile contractor by coordinating with him to schedule wood finishing work with tile installation.  We would recommend Mike to anyone needing carpentry work.  We will be for sure be contacting him to do some more work for us in the future. <br />

I have used Mike in the past to  remodel some windows in my master bedroom last year.  He is very professional and before he started the project he went in detail in what he was going to do and how long it would take.  The one thing I really like about Mike is that he gave me other ideas for the project.  In both projects he provided needed insight on how to best go forward with the project.  Mike is a true craftsman and takes great pride in his work. <br /> He always cleaned up at the end of the day.  His finish work on the exterior and exterior stucco was amazing. You could not tell where the existing work started and finish next to his work.   The box he built for the window seat fit like a glove and he made it out of cedar.  He could of used pine, but he used the material that he felt was best for the storage area. What a beautiful job!!! <br /> Also, I would like to mention that I was on a tight schedule because I was having the room re-modeled for an exchange student that was coming in a few weeks.  Mike had it done five days before she got here. The window looked like it was part of the original house. Just a amazing job by Mike. <br /> I would hire Mike in the future for any re-modeling project I may have. <br />

As on previous projects, Mike was great! He understood what I wanted, made suggestions, helped me get a good price on the door from the supplier with his discount, and was always prompt, professional and neat. His work is always meticulous and he has high standards. That's why I've had him do several projects for us. <br />

Michael did a great job, in a timely manner with a reasonable rate for the complete project. We have a new Jam with weather stripping, threshold, and the screen door is hung properly with the hinges in the correct locations. The door looks like new, and does not rattle when closed. You can gently push the door closed from an open position and it simply closes with a silent sound of the weather stripping sealing out the hot summer air. <br /> We are very happy with Michaels work and will have him back to do more of finished carpentry work, as we get closer to finishing the remodel of the older part of our home. <br /> <br /> <br />

Went very well. Job was started and completed in a timely manner. No added costs. Michael has excellent work ethics, explains and works well with our input of likes and preferences. He  is  diligent in overcoming any issues that arise during construction and  installation. His work shows attention to detail and his pride in the finished product. <br />

Very well. Mike is very personable, professional, and skilled. He listens to what you try to describe and really gets it. He draws up a contract and explains every step. His estimate was reasonable and the final amount actually came in a little less. He made many suggestions to save us money. He is artistic and the finished cabinets have an esthetic that is very pleasing. He kept in touch with us every step of the way and was prompt and pleasant. Now I'm thinking about a couple other projects and will definitely be talking to Mike again. <br />

\I already had some general drawings of what I wanted done. Mike took the drawings and tweaked them; adding and taking away some elements as needed. We met several times to discuss the different elements in the drawings until we both felt we had a good design. The drawings were for a mantle, cabinetry, and molding/trim. We had to wait for a mason to install the brick hearth around the fireplace. Then Mike built the mantle in his shop, at one time bringing the piece to the house to check for proper fit. The mantle design included the look of  "dental" molding which is mimicked in the molding/trim; he also constructed a "dental"  molding to go around the room sort of like crown molding, but technically not crown molding. He also built the cabinets which included book shelves, enclosed cabinetry for a sound system, and cubbies for firewood. The work was all custom; no stock cabinets.  Once all the pieces were constructed, Mike painted them in his shop with a special durable spray paint (I don't remember the name of it) so we would not have to deal with him painting in the house. Then he brought the pieces to the house to install. The installation took about 3 days which included installing electrical boxes in the cabinets for the sound system. He took care to calk any gaps and to do any touch up painting as needed. <br /> Mike was very professional and yet personable during the entire process. He was very thoughtful about calling to confirm appointments, showing up at the right time, and using his time well. He was good about meeting with the mason to ensure both were on the same page with regard to the project.  He kept me informed on the progress during the construction. He took care to not make a mess and would clean up at the end of the day. He worked steadily and efficiently. I felt the price was very fair. He showed genuine enthusiasm for the project the whole way through. <strong>The final product looks very professional and custom</strong>, which is what I wanted. <br />

The perfect combination of understanding my concept, price, and overall finished product.  Mike Pullen (Pullen Carpentry, see www.pullencarpentry.com) did a complete remodel on my kitchen, including design and construction of custom cabinets and unique tile work.  Mike only used one sub-contractor on my job, a contractor and craftsman named Jon Young who was as  careful and considerate as he was.  Mike did the designing and created the cabinets, the two worked together on the construction, and Jon did the tile work.They were able to perfectly match the bleached driftwood finish I was looking for (no other company I talked to could or would), create a pantry/baking center that is fabulous.  No detail was missed.  The suggestions they made were creative and totally in sync with my overall hoped for end result.  They took a ratty, antiquated kitchen with hardly any counter space, and turned it into a beautiful roomy area with many touches unique to my kitchen.  They were very pleasant to have working in my home, neat (each night when they left, everything was as neat as possible), and totally dependable.  The work was completed as per the contract (although I did add some customizing of the counters and back-splashes), and the price was excellent.  I received exactly what I hoped for and more for a price that was only very slightly higher than the quote I received from one of the larger companies, who could not deliver the color cabinets I wanted, did not include the pantry and would have taken at least 3 times as long to complete, plus having various people in and out for all that time.This company exceeded my expectations and hopes in all areas.  They have also completely remodeled one of my bathrooms, to make it safer, more up to date, and provide more storage, and minor remodeling to my second bathroom which created a total transformation in appearance.
