John was meticulous, reliable, good natured, and seemed to be able to do anything. He was great to work with and accomplished miracles in prepping my 56 year old home for sale. He also was very reasonably priced. I recommend him wholeheartedly. Thank you, John!

John was great to work with. We had what we thought was a leak behind the bead board in a basement bathroom. John was able to carefully remove the bead board and wall trim, open the wall only to find there wasn't a leak! John was methodical and thorough. His work is top notch. I would not hesitant to hire him again.

John is excellent. Not often do you find a handyman with John's skills. He does excellent work, is very dependable and reasonable priced. If there is an emergency repair John is able to adjust his schedule to facilitate.

John: I've known John Calisi for over ten years and have hired him a few times over that period of time. He just finished patching and painting the ceilings, and painting the entire finished basement walls. He is a very meticulous yet efficient worker and painter. I was amazed a few years ago when he was able to hang 8 doors in the house in one day!!! Have you ever tried to hang a door from scratch? The thing I like the most about John is that he always asked if you need anything else done during his time on the job. Patch some weather stripping, no problem! Move some furniture, no problem! Fix a shower door, no problem! He's prompt, considerate and a real pro. If you look up "handyman" in the dictionary, he's there! (Do we still have dictionaries?) He's a good man, and a great worker.

John is great. He is very responsive by phone and text, and unfailing professional and kind. He arrived on time and completed his work when he said he would. In addition to installing our kitchen fronts, he actually took our drawers home and added some wood that would make the fronts easier to attach. He also pointed out issues with the fronts to me so that I could discuss possible fixes with the supplier, and stopped at the supplier the next day to pick up the new hinges I needed. He even took at look at a problem I was having with a bathroom cabinet door. I highly recommend John for your cabinetry and handyman needs.

John was excellent from start to finish. I had called 5 handymen to get a quote on the work, only John returned my call w/in 24 hrs. One other guy called in 48, another called 2 weeks later (??) and 2 didnt call back at all. John showed up for the estimate and was very personable, gave me a few options that met what I was looking for. Turned around the estimate over email in a couple days. He didnt have a formal estimate form, was just an email...but I was fine with that. His estimate was competitive. He showed up on time on the agreed upon install date and the install went great. He had to leave mid day to grab some materials so the job took a little longer than expected, but he had discussed with me first and it was no issue for me at all. Final product was great, and John cleaned up before he left. Im glad I ignored the few negative reviews on John and gave more weight to the 35+ A reviews he has. He was definitely a great choice, wouldnt hesitate to use him again. Thanks John

I am very happy with the work John did. He was very responsive when first contacted and provided a quote in a timely manner. The job took one day and he cleaned up his work area so I didn't even know he had been there. I will definitely contact him in the future for more jobs.

John was so helpful in helping me pick the perfect color as I could not make up my mind for the longest time. The missing piece of woodwork looks as if it was never missing, perfect work! John showed up when he said he would. He was careful to put down drop clothes everywhere to be sure to keep the area clean. His work was fantastic. He installed a door, and did some other repair work. When he was done, he made sure to point out how it was before, and it was obvious how great it was when he was done. I would recommend him to anyone. His pricing is very reasonable, his work was great, and he did everything he said he would do. In my opinion if you need a good carpenter, you would be a fool not to use his services.

Everything went very smoothly, as it always does. <br> <br>John is so great because he has the skill to take on big projects and is willing to come by and help with really small ones, too. <br> <br> His prices are very fair and the quality of work excellent. He always comes when he says he will and is very punctual. I cannot recommend him highly enough. I am grateful to have him as neither my husband nor myself are very handy. Before we met John getting someone to come to the house to do repairs/improvements was a nightmare. Now it's easy and painless. <br> <br>

"This person contacted me in 2015 for an estimate. After the estimate was given, I had not heard from her. I believe that she contacted me 2-3 months afterwards and left a message on my phone. At this point I did not know who she was and did not bother to call her because I was at the point of refusing 2-3 jobs per week from being so busy. (my bad) Looks like a comunication breakdown to me."
