Fire Free Chimney Sweeps

I called the technician to look at the fan which was making noise. He opened the fireplace and told me that fan is bad and told me that he would call me back with an estimate on fixing it but never called back.i tried calling them but no response. I tried to turn on the fireplace but it is not working anymore, its a ripoff.

he didn't show the first scheduled time. Showed up promptly the second time. Was very professional and did a good job. He left everything clean

Services were completed at expectation.

The service rep was very safety conscious and went over safety details on how to properly build a fire, how to dispose of the embers, how to avoid extra smoke coming into the house.  he did a thorough examination of the chimney flues, inside and outside and checked some brick facing in the attic that a previous inspector had explained needed to be re-mortared.  He had a thorough knowledge of the construction of our chimney and pronounced in in very good condition.  He also confirmed the proper discharge location for fallen embers into the basement, which had been a worry for us.  He pronounced that in good shape as well.  He also went over the idea we wanted to explore of making the fireplace into a two sided one and he explained that this was indeed possible.  but he recommended that we use the third flu, which he discovered and which no one had told us about, and explained we could convert that flu to a gas fired fireplace flu for the room on the other side.  <br /> He cleaned up well after himself and was professional throughout.  I will use him again every year.  <br />

His estimate of materail was off. He was short 2 feet. He did not plumb the pipe from the wood stove to the hole he chiseled through the block foundation. The screws that hold the brackets to the house are not screwed in all the way. Its like they stipped out and they didn't care.  They didn't parge the stack that comes through the foundation all the way around. They only did it around the top where you could see. They didn't think anyone would look at the bottom. I tried to call and the number I have been using to contact him was disconected. I dont know why. <br />

He told me things on how it works and how to light the fire. He told me what to purchase to burn and how long it will burn, as well as safety information. He was professional.

This was my first experience with a chimney cleaning.  They were very professional, as well as neat, and explained things as they progressed and answered all my questions. <br />

It was an excellent experience having them do this service for us.  There are not too many companies out there today who show as much concern as this one did. <br />

They did their job but they wrote up a report for me that they said there was some difficulty with something inside the chimney but they admitted that they just put that there so they would get more work. They said they found a couple of things but the way they indicated it, I questioned them. I said, "What's that about?" He said, "Well, if you want to do it, it probably needs to be done." The guy was kind of cheeky about it. Everybody's trying to promote and looking for more work. They did the work and it seems to be fine but I had hoped that they would furnish me a report that didn't have that on the bottom because I was gonna give it to the next owner and now I can't. It's no big deal. It's just an irritant because they didn't need to put it in there. They could've very well asked me first but they didn't. They were nice. They need to sharpen up their presentation a little bit and not blindside people.

Company came quickly, inspected Chimney, cap, liner, hearth, firebox, flue smoke chamber, damper and top of chimney.  Cleaned/sweeped but said looked pretty good, already and all was in good order.  We were very happy with them-didn't try to charge us for unnecessary items. <br />

They did a good job, they were very clean, and there was no disruption or dust. We were very satisfied. We had a coupon for $100 off from a circular. I got estimates and they were not the lowest nor were they the highest. They struck us with their presentation and with the way they handled themselves, and we were not disappointed. They finished quickly and they were great. I recommend them.

They did an excellent job cleaning our chimney. We thought they were fantastic.
