There were conflicting stories between my property manager and Fireside. My property manager quoted me one price. The bill was twice as expensive. Ultimately, Fireside worked with me and I was happy.

From the very beginning, Jamie Shea was easy to work and very personable. He helped us pick the right color and proper stone to update the look of the fireplace. Once we selected the stone, Jamie made a site visit to measure the fireplace and walk us through the process. From the day we signed the contract to the date of the install, he was prompt and courteous. The mason crew Jamie works with, were prompt, courteous and did outstanding work. We couldn’t be happier with the finished project. The fireplace is a now beautiful focal point in our living room. I would highly recommend Fireside Hearth and Home. And if you are lucky enough to work with Jamie Shea, you will very be pleased with his positive, can do attitude.

We chose Roseville Fireside because they had completed several previous jobs for us. I was very fortunate to have worked with Jamie Shea. He exceeded my expectations for customer service. He assisted us with picking out the proper color and stone style to compliment our wood floors and mahogany woodwork. He made a site visit to take measurements and thoroughly walked us through the process. Jamie was always prompt, courteous and very thorough. The mason crew of Randy and Andy were prompt, courteous and cleaned up the project area. I would highly recommend Fireside for updating a fireplace. If you are so fortunate to work with Jamie Shea on your project, you will be pleasantly surprised with his professionalism and can do attitude.

Both interactions with Fireside have taken large amounts of wasted time. The employees are not dependable at the Minnetonka or Eden Prairie locations.

Very well, it was a complicated installation with the existing fireplace having to be cut out with a torch and with both natural gas and electric lines run to the fireplace. Everything got done on time and looks exactly as advertised despite the additional subcontractors required to do the job.

All the workers that came to our house were efficient, helpful and reasonably on time. But the company office appeared to be poorly organized to respond if something out of the ordinary occurred. The inspecting and cleaning of chimneys was done quickly and cleanly. The installation of the wood burning insert was scheduled in 2 steps. First the unit would be installed, then a week later another person would perform first start-up and explain how to use and maintain it. When the installers arrived they discovered the box had been opened and several parts were missing. They called store right away and left a message. They did as much as they could without getting a call back from the store, so they left the job incomplete. A day passed and we heard nothing from the store. I called the salesman I had worked with and left a message. No call back. My wife called and by interrogating the receptionist learned they were working on the problem, were trying to order the missing parts. I called again and caught the salesman at his desk. He claimed to not know the current state of the problem. "It's in the hands of the parts department." Unhappy, my wife tried again demanding contact with someone superior to the salesman. She was given the number for Ken and I called him. Now I learned they were going to take parts from a demo unit and install them on the start up date to meet the schedule commitment. On the start up date the installer called to tell us he was delayed 2 hours at another site. While waiting for him the city inspector showed up when the store had scheduled his visit. We explained the installation had not been completed, he glanced at it quickly, and left saying something about rescheduling. When the installer arrived he finished the installation and did a good job of teaching us about the unit. He called the store and left a message about the city inspector. The store did not call us back. I placed calls to both the store inspection department and the city inspector. Neither of them returned my call so we can only assume that an understanding was reached between the store and the city and we are legal. <br /> The unit appears to be well designed and performing as intended. <br />

Everything was done on schedule and on budget. The gentleman who came out to perform the initial inspection provided a great option that allowed me to get a larger insert for less money by going with a standard surround instead of custom (what was initially quoted in the store). I obtained three quotes and Fireside was the cheapest. They also provided the best option for routing the gas line, compared to the other quotes I received. The whole process took three separate visits due to a city inspection, but every appointment was on time. Staff was knowledgeable, professional and friendly. Highly recommend. <br />

Due to a windstorm with high winds, we discovered that our chimney stacks were leaking. Water was dripping down inside our gas fireplaces. Since we had just had our whole roof reshingled also due to the storm, Fireside Hearth and Home Contractor division of Roseville at first attempted to bring out a large truck with a bucket type lift attached to it so that the men could repair the chimney without touching the new shingles. This proved to be impossible for several reasons. Next, two guys and Doug, the head of their Regional Sales Operations Division came out. They very carefully climbed onto our extremely steep roof and took additional ladders up with them. They also carefully installed roof jacks to allow them to get up to the top most part of the roof and thus prop another ladder onto the 10' chimney itself. They then proceeded to check each chimney stack, fix whatever was loose, and seal all components of the stack. They even checked over another nearby stack that was not part of the original problem to determine that that stack was also sealed and properly functioning. They performed highly dangerous work very carefully so as to minimize or eliminate any damage to my new shingles. I was very pleased with the professionalism, the courage, the thoroughness and the willingness of the workers to do the job completely, property and with the least amount of damage. The whole operation took less than 1 1/2 hours. I would highly recommend the crew of three men who did the work on my roof. I was especially impressed that Doug, the head of their Regional Sales Operations Division, came out and personally got up on the roof himself, to make sure that the work was done properly and with a minimum of problems. <br />
