Had a bedroom door that wouldn't close for several months. I contracted First Choice House Leveling to do the job, since they could start the soonest & their price was good (not the cheapest, but right in the middle.) They listed on the contract that they would install 18 concrete footers & concrete piers plus 40 ft of 6x4 beam, as well as re-shim & level entire house with all steel shims. They even included 10 yr transferable warranty! But, they did NONE of that... the beam that was suppose to be replaced was not, The one that they did replace they butted to a water damaged cross beam. They used concrete pads and cinder blocks, not concrete footers & posts. They proceeded to crack every wall in the house, in every single room, including the front porch where the tile pulled away from the house leaving a 1.5inch gap. There were no cracks before, only a door that wouldn't close. They finished in less than a week, and the door did close...only 6 months later it stopped closing, and two other doors were not closing, including the front entry, which was NOWHERE near the area that they were working in. They included charges for pulling the permits, but before the work was completed, I'd checked with city permit office, and this had not been done. After a few months, the problems returned. I reached out to them to see if they could honor their warranty, but they sent out a different appraiser who said that the problems were from the remaining posts - that had not been replaced. When I asked them to just redo the work that I paid them for in the first place, I was told it would be at least 3 weeks before they could get to me. After a month went by I called, but they have not returned my calls... that was 3 months ago. I have since had several Foundation repair companies review the problems, which is how I learned that First Choice had not done any of the things I had contracted them to do. I now have to pay for a foundation repair REPAIR, and patching & repainting every single room in my home. It's sickening. Do yourself a favor, don't go anywhere near these guys. It's just not worth it. Picture is the beam they agreed to replace and three of the concrete posts.
