When the work data arrived and I asked about digging the pond, and was told that his equipment was not equipped to dig the pond but he would do the best he could, and he began moving drt in a flat shovel like manner left and right. Forms were put in place and instead of filling the steps with traditional fill Kali’s crew took edging bricks and other cement scrap they found to fill in the stairs. In breaking apart the cement Kali’s crew broke through the cement and into my garage. The next day cement pouring was to begin, I had ordered two tone cement Bayou and graphite with the grey color to be the stairs and the border. Due to concerns Kali had with doing the steps in Grey I was requested to pay on the fly another $300. The First round of cement was poured (the grey border and steps) It ws not level. I asked Kali about it and he began to get verbally aggressive indicating he would rip everything out and cancel the next truck. Keep in mind that per the contract I paid over half up front on the day of the install of the forms and the remaining balance on the day the cement was poured. After the first round of cement was poured the concrete was covered in preparation for the second load of another color. Once the concrete was set a couple days later and the plastic was removed I was able to see the following issues I could see that the edges of the concrete were left rough and unfinished leaving the cement vulnerable to freeze melt cycle damage. The Bayou colored cement was allowed to spatter over onto the Grey cement permanently discoloring the finish I paid $2300 extra for Wood and screws from the cement forms were allowed to remain imbedded and unremoved from the concrete To address the first and second issue Kali and team hand mixed a cement and dye and layered it in a thin application around the outside trim of the patio. I expressed concern that the color would not match the way it was mixed and that it wasn’t a sound solution to apply a thin cement layer on top of set layer of cement as this could cause flaking off of the new layer over time. I was assured that it would cure lighter than It was. Color still does not match. At the time I was not aware of the third problem or the cement that was dumped in area he had been digging out. This was also to be the day that cement was sealed. None of the border cement was sealed and neither were the steps. A couple days later after the concrete had dried and the grey border was patchy and did not match I contacted Kali and he agreed to come fix it several appointments were made by me with Kali, all of which were no showed, or canceled for one problem or another each time the excuses getting extreme. Finally I told him I had enough and that I needed him to show up to the next appointment. He promised he would, the morning of the appointment I texted him to remind him. I received a phone call telling me he had an emergency, which escalated into him yelling at me on the phone because I had enough of his excuses. To date he has filed to show up to complete work or even assess the issue presented above. Please see photos of supporting evidence.

We were very pleased with the work done by First Deseret. They always showed when they said they would. They were fast and efficient. The work was excellent and the price was the best of the bids we got. If we have more work to be done, we would have them do the job.

Kali was great to work with. He kept us informed the entire time our project was open. He was very honest and upfront about cost and wanted to work within our budget. He was also very patient with us as we weren't 100% sure on our measurements at first! I would highly recommend. Great guy to work with!

Quality work as advertised. Kali is very picky about how he wants things done and communicates that to his workers while leading them. My lines and edges were perfect and I got the slope towards the boundary line as I requested in order to keep water from pooling on my new driveway. They showed up as planned and even finished the job much faster than anticipated. Highly Recommended.

This company proved to be DISHONEST and HORRIBLE. Due to a FAILURE to plan ahead Kali and his crew poured the new driveway before removing the sidewalk. Kali and his crew promised to NOT drive their heavy machinery across my front lawn but because of this FAILURE ,they; did IRREPARABLE DAMAGE to my flowerbeds and crushed several hundred dollars worth of decorative rocks; and TORE UP the grass and sprinkler system in their efforts to break-up the sidewalk. On 4/17/2014 and 4/18/2014 Kali promised to lay new sod and repair the sprinkler system. He failed to do either. The work that was done is of POOR quality. Kali and his crew allowed the cement to overflow the forms; leaving unsightly jagged edges. There are piles of leftover cement haphazardly dumped around the yard that has NOTHING to do with the driveway, sidewalk or RV pad, thus, I can only assume that this is leftover GARBAGE cement that was not cleaned up by Kali and his crew.  <br /> <br />
