Stay away from this company. You can believe nothing they say. Had my furniture in storage for almost a year. Was supposed to be air conditioned. Found out when the furniture was moved from storage only about 10% was stored in an air conditioned facility. I had $2500 of moving damages but the company would not pay for the damages even though I had purchased extra insurance costing $835 each way from them. Took them to small claims court and won a judgment for $2650 but have never collected from them. That's because the company doesn't own anything, all their trucks are leased and they have no offices, only a UPS box. The company is owned by James Fischer and is managed by his sons. The company has two other aliases, Jupiter Moving Company and Florida Licensed Moving Corporation. Two of the brothers also own Fischer Brothers Moving Company. I would stay away from all these companies.

BEWARE BELONGINGS HOSTAGE MOVER: Please research Fishcher Brothers carefully and you will find negative reviews similar to ours (their positive reviews are short mostly and seem typical requested or fake variety). Our experience IS AS follows. Prior to the move we received a written agreement: (all caps by Fishcher Brothers): "BINDING RATES....NO HIDDEN FEES...Not to Exceed quote of $4,052.81". After having packed all our belongings at 6pm on a Friday night, we are told WE MUST PAY 100 Percent OF THE CONTRACT AMOUNT IN cash or cashiers check at delivery ARRIVAL, prior to their unloading, moving into two story rooms and assembly (all included). Obviously banks are closed. We offered to have delivery on Monday or money in afternoon on Saturday and start delivery at any time Saturday. We called to a Fischer (Kevin we believe) and got yelled at with endless rant of MFer, ** and WE WILL sell your items Monday morning at auction. 90 minutes later we receive an invoice for $6,978.80—almost $3,000 additional TO OUT “NOT TO EXCEED” CONTRACT AMOUNT. We then tell another Fisher (Jim we believe) in emails that we are ready willing and able to take delivery Saturday, Sunday or Monday and have monies but only at written agreed upon amount of $4,052. A Fischer responded that he deals with cops all over the state and will file police report if threaten them (with legal action), AND AGAIN TELLS US WE MUST PAY THE NEW INVOICE AMOUNT OF $6,978.80 IMMEDIATELY, OR THEY WILL ADD ADDITIONAL STORAGE FEES. Classic case of scam using belongings as hostage to get around an agreement. Will pursue with law enforcement, State of Florida and our attorneys in court action. STAY AWAY FROM FISCHER. IF YOU HAVE BEEN SCAMMED BY THE FISCHERS CONTACT US.

Do not use these people. They used to be White Lion moving that shows they have multiple offices. They only have one. I went to one of the ones listed and it did not exist. I got an estimate for a temporary move then once the furniture was in the truck, they tripled the storage charges. Finally, after much haggling, they cut it down, but I had no choice at that point. At the end of the storage time, I tried to get my furniture back....completely jerked me around. Tomorrow, then no show with some story, then 2 days later...etc. Had to hire another company and went and got it out of the storage facility with even more additional charges. Do not be fooled by this operation, find another compan

I was not happy with that service. They were there when I asked them to be. When I talked to a person at The White Lion, they told me the cost would be 2000 dollars. They people who came to move me tried to charge me 5000 dollars but they also used people they didn't need to use which cost 50 dollars. They were not very polite. They did not unpack when we got to Brandon. I had to wait till the next day for them to unpack my stuff, luckily I have a daughter who lives here. They wanted me to pay them in cash which I did not, I did money order. And they ended up charging me 24,00 because I said, I'm not getting that. I don't think they were very careful with my belongings and they packed trash bags full of trash. They used like plastic wrap around stuff which like then in chairs and stuff got banged around and scratched. I thought that generally they were not professional. There were two or three movers and they were on time.

They gave me an estimate. The guy was professional and thorough. He got back to me with the estimate within the time frame he gave. I ended up going with another moving company.

They kept my things for 3 weeks. Said they had to take my thing off a truck to accommodate a larger customer going out west. I called everyone…the BBB the transportation regulators etc. trying to get my things to me. I was going through a divorce so it is all kind of blurry now. My 2500$ television was busted. I was completely stressed out and very upset. I think you should take them off your website. I hired them through Angie’s List. I have since cancelled all affiliation with Angie’s list.

The service was okay. The scheduling went well for the service. The local office was indifferent to the transaction as they did not seem to care if they had the business or not. They did not follow up at all. The lady did not know what Angie's List was and she did not know the larger corporation of the franchise's had contracted with Angie's List.

I have had the worst experience with White Lion Movers then I have had with any other company in my life and I have dealt with some bad companies. I originally chose White Lion because they had a B on Angie's List with 85 reviews. I figured there is always a few bad reviews here and there but a B average is respectable and they were located in Boca where I was moving. I am now convinced the majority of the Angie's List reviews for them are fake which I will go into the reasons why but I will be investigating them further. If you look this company up on any other website which I did not do until after having trouble you will see 1 star and F reviews, Yelp is a good example, with 4 horrible reviews.
So when I first made the phone call I was connected to this guy ?Neil? if that is even his real name, he was a very slick salesman. He told us they had an excellent rating and an average of 2% insurance claims vs an industry standard of 14%. I asked them for an estimate and he told me it was impossible to give one but that there guys are $45 an hour per guy and that the more guys we had on the job the quicker it would be. He said they moved a customer out of a 6,000 square foot house with three guys in under four hours. So I scheduled an appointment for them to move my computers, chairs, files, three desks, a TV, and some filing cabinets leaving 95% of the desks and furniture that my landlord owned. To reduce the cost and make it easy we boxed everything and labeled it with the letter of the location it was going to the new office with a map of each location. We were moving from 2,900 square feet to 1,500.
I scheduled the move for Saturday August 31st the weekend of labor day along with my IT vendor, comcast, cubical installer, locksmith, and our phone vendor because that was the first non work day after my contractors finished construction. We had to do everything at the same day so that we had internet, phones, etc for our staff coming in off of the long labor day weekend. The idea was to have everything ready Saturday so that we could iron out any kinks on Sunday and Monday.
I had purchased six new small desks and chairs from the container store for our real estate agents prior to our move date that were not yet put together and asked White Lion if I could hire them to help with the install. They were scheduled for 8am Friday the 30th of August, the day prior to the move. First they showed up around 9:35 which was annoying since I have a business to run and time is a precious commodity for me but it wasn?t a big deal in the overall scheme of things so I didn't say anything about it. Two guys finally showed up they were not very friendly but got to business putting the desks together. This is when the red flags started. They shoved some paperwork at me telling me its stuff they have to have signed before they get started, which put me in a situation that I did not have time to read it because they already had me running an hour and a half late. Since I booked the appointment two weeks prior if they wanted to me to really have a chance to read it they could have provided it to me at the time the appointment was scheduled. I believe one of the files was an estimate that had three movers in it but they crossed and put two but it had $2,000 as the number in the estimate which they assured me was just a formality and that I would not be charged that much I still made them change the number to $1,000 to cap any potential issues. About an hour later when they were finished with the desks but before the chairs they were on the phone with their boss and told me I needed to pay them cash or check before they finished because they didn't accept credit cards. Then they told me that my bill was $475 for 1.5 hours of work because it was a three hour minimum and there was a truck charge! I questioned them about it and they shrugged saying it wasn't them it was their boss to which I called the office. After speaking with someone on the phone they said they were sorry they forgot it was a ?multiday move? and that the charge would only be $306. That was end of day one.
I was already having bad feelings about these movers because of them not accepting credit cards and all the surprises with them asking for payment prior to finishing and inflating their charges but my hands were tied because I didn?t have time to find someone new. So my staff and I spent the day not only packing but actually moving most of the boxes to the new office ourselves and putting all the stuff that needed to be moved in piles by the entrance labeling the desks that were staying with red paper and the boxes that were going with green paper and letters to the offices they needed to be.
Saturday morning, the day of the move I was out of town on a pre scheduled trip while my business partner stayed to supervise. We had some hiccups with comcast that were sorted out, the rest of the vendors did their jobs and left. The movers had issue with moving two old large desks that were in the space. I had called their office days earlier to ask if they could move them and was told it would be fine but on the day of the there was no recollection of the conversation I had. It was then, about halfway through the move they asked for $1,800! They broke down the bill saying it was 3 guys x $45 a guy for 6 hours plus one other guy for 2.5 hours plus 6 hours of truck time, taxes, $300 gratuity and a bunch of other BS! All for a move that I could of and probably should of done myself with a truck and three guys in 3 hours. My partner and I ended up on a three way conference call explaining that we would pay Tuesday after we saw a written invoice when our bookkeeper was in the office with our business checks and after a heated conference call and some dead air time we were hung up on. We called back to tell them we would pay because we needed our stuff to work on Tuesday and were told by the receptionist, 2 minutes after the movers were there that they had already left, and that Mike, the guy who hung up on us had left too. She said that if we wanted our stuff we would have to schedule for Monday or Tuesday! After basically begging with her we finally scheduled for 8am on Monday.
The entire weekend was torcher, I couldn?t sleep, I couldn?t relax. If you are a small business owner and have 9 people on staff that need desks and computers to start work after a holiday weekend and clients who assign work due on the weekend you understand how I felt. After the experience I had I wasn't sure if they were going to try and charge us storage fees or even show up on time. My concerns were justified when my partner was waited two hours from his 8am appointment only to call in and be told we were rescheduled until 12pm and that they demanded cash. Then at 12pm he was told it would be 1:30pm to which they finally showed up at 2pm. After $1,540 and a stress filled weekend they are finally delivering our stuff at this very moment. I will never use this company again and would recommend anyone to steer very clear of White Lion Movers. Also do your research because apparently there is a lot of this stuff going on in the moving industry, they bid you low, if at all and hold your stuff hostage until you pay cash so you can?t review or dispute their last minute inflated prices.
I had 2 PODS hauled off and put in storage until I was ready to move. When they picked the 2 pods up they took a check for $644.00. Later I had to ask them for a breakdown of the receipts. It took them 3-4 days to give me the breakdown. Now they want $892.00 upfront in either a cashiers check or personal check or money wire transfer. If it's a personal check needs three days to clear before you can schedule a move. They want the money up front and they won't release any of my crates/PODS to me out of storage until the check clears.

When I called them and asked about pricing, I talked to one guy and he said it will only take about two hours. I told him that it is going to take a lot more time and containers than that. I was on the phone with him for at least 20min and he had a manager call me. I was talking to the manager and he said he would charge me a flat rate instead of per container. He said it would be a flat $350 on and off and then $500 storage fee per month, with one month free. From there we will be moving it to Jacksonville, and it would have been around $958. That should have been for everything. Basically, once they arrived they didn't tell me that it was $45/hr just for the truck to be on site. I was already paying $45/hr for the laborors and I was never informed of the $45/hr for the truck. Basically, I thought I was paying for 8hrs of labor and I had 4 guys at $45/hr. I was charged $2100 for the trucks that I wasn't aware was going to be charged. My stuff is sitting at their storage facility and there wasn't anything I could do about it. I told the manager I would give him until Wednesday but I just can't do this. I and my brother-inlaw were told that they would bring the containers onsite to be loaded and they would lock them in front of me. This did not happen the brought 2 trucks and loaded them and placed stickers on the boxes and other items that they did not pack like that said and left loose.

All in all, I am most satisfied with the handling, courtesy and professionalism of the movers and the prompt way the company comes in to guide the move. I rate them highly especially if you have valuable items but you better have deep pockets.

I was a bit concerned that even though pricing was gone over several times. The a la carte type services kept going. Miscommunication came in paying for the truck as though it were a person after paying for it to drive to and from a location and gas. Also, the truck should have been bigger given the size of the furniture. Had we not decided to wrap and load in U-Haul trucks ourselves this. The open-endedness of the cost was unnerving.

For this small job, White Lion quoted $40 per man/hr. plus $40 per hour for the truck plus packing supplies and one hour travel time to and from the job. They charge in 15-minute increments, and suggested that 2 guys could handle it, which means that the total cost would likely be less than $400 ( 2 total hours to load, drive & unload plus 1 hour "travel time" at $120/hr. = $360).
They sent 3 guys (including a driver/boss who did little actual work and a clumsy guy with earbuds blasting), saying that this was in my favor because everything would go more quickly, wanting $50/hr. each plus the truck = $200/hr. instead of $120/hr. I insisted that they had quoted $40, not $50, which after calls & arguments they again agreed to, but then insisted that the 2 hours they had taken to move 21 items was going to add up to 3 hours by the time we hassled on the phone and they got back to their truck. They also refused to honor the Angie's List 10% OFF coupon, saying that when I originally called them, my telephone number alerted them to the fact that I was a member so they applied the discount to the original quote without telling me that at the time (???).
Did you know that they also charge an 18% "gratuity" on top? I didn't either until they informed me just hours before the move, and it was too late to replace them. The driver suggested that I pay for this separately so that the crew wouldn't have to share this additional money with White Lion.
I spent more than twice the estimate.

It went ok. They did ask for additional funds once the job was underway.
Once they got there the job of packing was done well and the packers were cooperative and responsive. However they re-scheduled the job without calling which when your moving can be quite distributive. Also you had to read the small print or the $100 special could end up costing you hundreds.
This is a long overdue letter to thank you and your staff for an outstanding job during our move in June for my daughter. White Lion demonstrated extreme professionalism throughout the job. Most importantly, the staff respected the delicate nature of aspects of the move and took careful precautions...The crew was an efficient as anyone could have hoped for and exceeded any of my expectations. They were as friendly and courteous as they were efficient. I have moved several times in Florida and used a number of moving firms; White Lion stood head-and shoulders above the rest. Thank you
It went good. The guys showed up on time and they were very friendly and helpful. They got everything done and I do not have any complaints. They were careful of everything. Everything was as expected and they did a really good job. I think I got a really good deal for the work. I picked them because of the deal. I did not have any problems. I was not hit with any hidden charges. I did not have any problems getting a hold of them and they were on time. They followed up on how everything went. I would use them again.

I dont ever write reviews but I feel compelled to let every one else know that if you are thinking of using White Lion of Boca Raton, FL...DON'T. First, trying to schedule a move out of storage was almost impossible. I had to call them several times just to get a hold of someone. When I finally scheduled our move they wanted a $500 depsosit to secure the date (which was suppose to go towards the cost of the move out). OK, no big deal. So when the movers show up with my furniture from their storage facility, not only did they jack up my contracted hourly rate from $210/hour to $250/hour, they did not apply the $500 deposit towards the cost of the move. They would not take my furniture off the truck until I agreed. They said to call the corporate office and talk it over with them. So they had me over a barrel. Now the fun begins, where is all my furniture. They were here for about 7 hours and when the truck was empty we were missing some very big items (wall unit, patio furniture, piano legs ect...). The forman then informed me that they have another vault in the warehouse and they will bring it the next day, which they did minus a wall unit, Patio set, and a whole bunch of various other stuff (some expensive, some not). How do you lose a wall unit? Anyway that was four days ago and havent heard from them since. Not even a courtesy call to let me know they are looking for my furniture.
On a positive note the actual movers that took our furniture both on and off the truck were terrific.
I know I am just one review of many regarding WL. So you decide.

They ended up raising the price on this deal, because of the hurricane, they said. And they ended up breaking a lamp shade, and not replacing it.

May 2013
This was an overall awful experience. The move ended up taking two days longer then we were originally told and for that reason ended up costing us %30 more because they charge by the day. The number of movers and size of the trucks were completely inadequate for the job that we had. A number of my items were broken or missing after the move was completed. They would not give me a contract when I asked for it, and said they would get me one but it would cost an extra $100 for a copy of the contract. I tried several times to contact them about the broken and missing items and they were completely unresponsive.

I have reached out to the State of Florida to have them try to step in and help me. By law the company is not required to respond and they have never once responded to the State of Florida.
