Excellent work - very professional, careful, clean. They did their part exactly on time and finished each phase promptly. We had them back five times during the sequenced move and they performed their work perfectly.

The move went very well. They were more than accommodating in moving some of the furniture to the "mother-in-law" apartment on the property. Nothing was damaged and they were a pleasure to work with. Anthony returned my calls promptly and the price of the move was reasonable. Thank you gentlemen!!

Owner was SUPER responsive, called back with a quote the next day (still waiting for all the rest of the companies I called for a quote), arranged service and I was all set. On the day of the move, the crew showed up at both locations, picked up new furniture and delivered without a hitch. Price was about $100 more than quote, but in fairness, traffic was a bear that day and they charge by the hour. Good company, good owner and good crew......I will be back.

Awful. The young men were strong and polite, but not trained/equipped to do the job correctly. They were asking me to supply screwdrivers and cardboard, which were at the new house already. They had to call their boss to bring them what they needed. And they had no clue what to do to move the grandfather clock, even though I was told that this company had moved many of them. They gouged one wall attempting to get the sofa bed out without removing one of the feet which they said wasn't coming off. I told them they better try again, and they got it off, but the damage was done, which my husband had to repair as we were closing on the house that week. The worst thing, though, was the grandfather clock. They did not know how to move it, nor how to reassemble it at the new destination. I arrived there to find the weights and pendulum placed incorrectly, and the clock inoperable. I had to call in a clock repairman and it cost me $125.00 to get it repaired. I have never had a problem like this in the past. This company did a very poor job. And when I booked this move, I was told there was a discount for cash. He never told me that they don't accept checks. So I was completely taken back when he didn't want my check. And when I told him about the gouge in the wall, all he said was 'don't let that ruin your move.' What a nightmare.

Crew was very hard working and performed all tasks requested. Job needed to be done over two days due to weather issues, but crew worked well to complete the job. Crew worked quickly and continually and was very courteous and respectful throughout the job. Speaking from personal experience as I have done similar type of work myself in the past, I did think the crew was a bit inexperienced as they did have some difficulties organizing the loading efficiently, and brought too small of a truck on the second day. From my conversations with the crew and manager, it appears this is a growing company that is trying very hard to do a good job and the inexperience issues will disappear over time. Overall, I was very satisfied with the work done.

If you're looking to hire movers, take your money elsewhere. Do not do business with this company. I hired Five Star Moving Crew for my move on May 29th, 2016. It was a holiday weekend, and my usual movers were unavailable. Anthony (the owner) and his employee, I believe his name was Jeremy, introduced themselves and seemed friendly enough, though I did note that they did not offer any type of paperwork/contract that typical movers usually provide at the start of any move. I lived on the third floor with an elevator easily accessible and near my front door. Total move out from this apartment took about two hours and towards the end of those two hours, I was informed by the property manager (who also lived on my floor) that the movers damaged the elevator and it was no longer working. Anthony initially accepted responsibilty and told me to let him know of any charges incurred. We headed towards my current apartment, and they completed my move. Upon payment, I informed Anthony that I did not have enough cash as the move took longer than expected, so I offered to pay the remaining balance with my debit card. He refused this and asked to meet me the next day with the balance in cash. I found this strange considering cash OR card was 'okay' when I initially hired him. We met the next day, and I actually had to ASK him to give me a receipt. Upon reviewing the elevator security footage, it was noted that Anthony and Jeremy continuously propped the elevator door open with my furniture, at least 9 times, ranging from 5-10 minutes each time, ignoring the warning buzzards along with a verbal warning from the property manager herself. According to the repairman, this caused the motor to overrun and eventually stop working. A few days later, I contacted Anthony to let him know that my landlord was billing me, not him, for the elevator repairs, as their contract is with me as the tenant. Any hired movers were considered tenant "guests" and incurred expenses I would have to collect myself. I informed Anthony of the repair costs of $1514, and that my $500 security deposit had already been withheld. He gave me his insurance information and after contacting his agent, was told my claim would be denied because he has a deductible of $1500. It was during this time that Anthony slowly started to deny responsibility, coming up with random and irrelevant excuses. After numerous messages back and forth, we finally agreed to meet on July 15th, 2016, over a month and a half after the incident. He wanted to discuss his "course of action", and suggested getting dinner afterwards to which I declined. This was his second attempt for a date. I sent him a message the day of, asking for the address of our meeting place, and his response was that we would no longer be meeting because I did not return his phone call the night before. He then stated that had I returned his call, we would have met up, and he would have given me the $500 that I already lost. The remaining $1014 he would only pay IF or WHEN my landlord decides to take me to court. I disagreed with his "course of action" and reminded him that any balance owed with a landlord, not to mention a court case, would reflect negatively on me with any future landlords I may have. Also, should they choose not to take me to court, they still have the option to send my balance to a collection agency thus affecting my credit score. Still, Anthony refused. On July 26th, I received a notice from a collection agency regarding this balance. I forwarded him a copy of this notice and the next day, he replied that he will be sending me a check for $1514. Two weeks later, and I have yet to receive that check. I emailed him once again with no response. I now have no choice but to pursue a small claims suit that I did not want the hassle of doing. The whole purpose of hiring movers is to make ones move as easy and as stress-free as possible. Five Star Moving Crew did the complete opposite. Save yourself the headache and unnecessary expenses, look elsewhere. Do not hire this company.

Anthony and his team were great to work with - every aspect went very smoothly. Because we were splitting the load with two pickup and drop-off points, being the 2nd pick-up required substantial reorganization of the truck. Everything was loaded well and soundly secured - we had absolutely no problem with damage upon arrival, despite some pretty rough roads due to construction on a 1,300 mile haul. Not only would I recommend them, but I am rebooking them for the 2nd phase of our move.

They were running a few minutes little late so they brought an additional helper for free. We used an Angie's list deal for 2 movers for 2 hours for $179. We hired them for an additional hour and received a cash discount. Being a few minutes late was not a problem for us and the extra guy more than made up for it.
The movers were strong and hard working. They were very polite and asked questions about things when they were unsure about things that needed to be packed or not. We had all of our furniture wrapped ahead of time but they put some additional wrap on a few items where we ran out of stretch wrap.
They packed the Pod to the ceiling, solid. We thought we were going to have to get another pod another day but we only needed one big one! Anthony is an expert packer and can really help you get your money's worth out of a pod. It was like Tetris in there. If you are getting a Pod, this is the service to use.
We will be using Five-Star Moving Crew to unload our pod at our new place.

This company is awesome! We ran into a problem with our original movers (they essentially were trying to take advantage of an elderly couple). Something about those first movers didn't feel right so we went with our gut instinct. I called Anthony on Friday morning to see if he had any opening for the next day. He was so very professional and was able to do some shifting around and fit in this move that he estimated would take 3-4 hours. Manny and Avante (sorry if I spelled your name wrong!) arrived a little late, but they got stuck at the job before ours. That absolutely was not a problem as we were moving small things anyway over to the new apartment. Manny and Avante were polite, respectful and professional. My parents had a very large leather sofa where each end has a portion that reclines, a leather lift recliner, another leather recliner, television stand, 65" curved television, dining room table w/chairs, two very large oak dressers, queen-size bed and wooden clothes wardrobe. The guys had to move these things out of the apartment, into the elevator, out the front doors, across a parking lot, across a driveway, into the next building, put those things in the elevator and up to the new apartment. They were very careful with my parent's things and wrapped everything in moving blankets before leaving with them. They were such a hard workers and never stopped moving until the job was done. And here's the best part . . . one of the guys found my mom's heart-shaped diamond necklace on the floor. He picked it up and gave it to my husband. You can't get anymore honest than that! Highly, highly recommend these movers!

I called on the 14th, which was a Sunday and Anthony answered and went through expected pricing. Anthony was very honest that this would be the first time they have moved drywall for a customer. I told him that I would still like an estimate and he was able to give me an estimate right there over the phone. He was also able to accommodate me with a date that same week, Thursday, when my wife would be available to let them in. It was setup for the Thursday of the same week which was very important because I be eded the drywall to be in our basement for that upcoming Saturday when the carpenter would be working.
The day came and Anthony called to let us know they were 20 minutes away. When the two movers arrived, they took a look at what needed to be done. They were complete in just under two hours and.asked my wife if anything else was.needed and she let them know that she was completely satisfied with their work.
Beyond the above details, i planned to have them come back in the near future to do some other moving of doors and furniture to our basement. I will definitely be calling Anthony back when I am ready.
I would definitely recommend Five-Star Moving Crew to anyone looking for a friendly, professional moving crew.
Norm
Anthony and his co-worker (Manny?) arrived on time, listened while I showed them everything that needed to be loaded and the certain requests I had. Some items were going in storage and some were going into my new place of residence. I therefore needed the items loaded in essentially 2 zones.
They worked diligently through the morning, took a lunch break and then finished by around 2pm or so. They were very respectful and professional and treated my possessions very carefully. They were also very careful in moving the items and I observed later, once I completed the final cleaning of the house, that there was NO damage to the walls! They did a better job than the professional moving company that I hired when I first moved into the house.
I did notice that items were not going in exactly as I had requested, HOWEVER, once we started unloading the truck at my destination I realized what an EXCELLENT job of packing they did. They essentially created a 3D puzzle, if you will, and by doing so, used every square inch of space efficiently and packed the items so they were secure and therefore there was NO DAMAGE to my furniture.
Can't say enough good things about Anthony and his company. Hire them!
