We are a local company that provides residential and commercial exterior and interior painting services. We have professional teams and utilize quality paint products from Sherwin Williams, Benjamin Moore & Behr. The quality of the entire job was outstanding. This includes pressure washing the house before painting, the excellent job of masking off non-paint areas, perfect application of the paint, (sprayed and brushed areas) and once the job was done the cleanup. I cannot recommend this company more strongly. Everything was perfect from start to finish.
EDIT: It's now 18 months since the job was completed, and the house still looks like new. The quality of the finished product shows in the durability it is showing.

We recently used Five Star Painting of Federal Way for an exterior house refresh, including the trim. They were incredibly easy to work with and offered transparent pricing. We especially appreciated how accommodating they were when we requested a trim color change toward the end of the project. We highly recommend consulting with them for any painting needed!

Fantastic job on interior paint for 1957 home with several different paints used on walls, including oil. Walk through items resolved timely. In an time where contractors sometimes don't show it, these guys were professional, timely and courteous! Highly recommend!

Working with Terry and his staff was one of the smoothest and most satisfying experiences I’ve had with an Angi contractor. They showed up on time every time and did a great job painting the entire exterior of my home. I would recommend them for anyone looking ft or a painter. I will be contacting them again once I get going on the interior.

The sales pitch was great but the delivery and customer service was poor.I had two service providers due to the first crew providing poor paint services. They were re-placed by a crew who did some improvements. Within two months paint is fading, chipping and paint drips towards the bottom where furniture was moved in front to hide errors. Not to mention floor damage(which was brought to attention after the first set of contractors came). Asked for compensation and in response the Head boss used demeaning words rooted in racism and essentially refusing to pay the amount needed to correct damages and errors. This was 5-star painting services @ the federal way WA location.

"Everyone has their right to write reviews, but they should be fair and accurate. This client’[Member Information Removed] review indicates that by using the word "hostile", I was stereotyping and characterizing a specific race and gender, as she has indicated in another review she has written. This is a very inaccurate accusation, as I have never met her in person for her to even make that assumption. She also assumed that we were not willing to return her more of a refund. She gave us less than two days to even have a conversation about her request for more money. In addition to making those assumptions, she also assumed that I was a female because of my name. It appears many assumptions were being made and she was not willing to have a conversation, only what she would accept or she would start writing bad reviews and reporting us to the BBB. We also offered to repair the floor scratch, but she stated she was having them refinished and it was not necessary. We ask clients to move their appliance themselves because of this type of outcome. We never want this type of review, but because of the false accusations, I felt it necessary to respond. If you read our other reviews, you will find that many clients are highly satisfied and, in some cases, make mention that they appreciate our willingness to come back to take care of any issues they find after the final walkthrough. It is all unfortunate."

The job was completed as promised. The gentleman painting the house worked hard all by himself and had the majority of the job completed in one full workday. He was considerate and made sure we had access in and out of the house as needed. Just a couple of hours on the second day and the job was completed, including the minor repair at the south end of the house damaged by a woodpecker and the 30+ years of sun. The house looks so much better. I would definitely call if I needed them again.

Extremely well. We had 4 contractors present bids. Five Star Painting had a reasonable price and the company had all the required license and insurance. There reviews were great, so we elected to go with them and am really glad we did. All the work agreed upon was done very professionally and on time. workers were very polite and courteous. there cleanup was done as they worked and the house looks great. We liked them so much that we recommended them to my 99 year old mother to paint her house.

Terry provided a detailed and accurate estimate. The team worked well together and cleaned up at the end of each day. I was consulted if there were questions. They will start painting the exterior next month. I would highly recommend Five Star Painting.

If you love to have to re-do the work that you paid someone else a lot of money to do, then these are your guys. The clear lack of attention and care to the prep work has resulted in constant peeling and bubbling of all the surfaces they touched some 2+ years ago. To their credit, they DID come back out after the initial work was done to “fix” the terrible staining job they did on our deck as it was peeling off in sheets 6 months later, however all that was done was the application of another coat of product. When it was complete, the project manager (who never bothered to come by and check on things) called my wife (not me) and told her that “if it happens again, it’s your problem”. Classy. No follow up from the owner at all, who seemed nice enough but disconnected from what was really happening on-site. another 6 months later, the stain was coming off in sheets, yet again. I spoke with the fine folks at Sherwin-Williams who confirmed that the only reason their products would be doing this so quickly after the completion of the work would be poor preparation of the surfaces. They were nice enough to give me a discount on the purchase of paint and stain to re-do the job right. Oh and be sure to read the fine print on their warranty… it’s only activated when you leave them a “5 Star” review with the parent company of the franchise. Pay extra. Go with a company that stands behind their work.

This is definitely a 5 Star Painter. He painted walls that needed to be done and also did the shoe moldings after a new floor was installed. He came when he said he would and the work was very good. Highly recommend 5 Start Painter
