Extremely well! The workers were professional, friendly and fast. David Newsome and Tanner Green of Five Star Painting were totally helpful during the whole process.

We hired Five Star Painting this past summer because they had done such a nice job seven years prior. They were extremely profession, from the initial call, through estimate, during the project, and following up afterwards. I would highly recommend them to family or friends.

Absolutely excellent from the start through finish! Geoff gave me estimates for the rooms I had requested for painting, and as it turned out, I ended up asking for additional areas based on their price (the additional rooms he had thoughtfully already measured). The painters did a fabulous job - Dave made sure they did a quality work - I found absolutely straight lines, no drips, no smears, and colors that looked great. And since I wasn't home at the time, I had to trust that the job was done right. I didn't need to worry - Dave was on site to make sure the job was done right. , and that the painters were great on their own. A quality, professional job indeed, at a very reasonable and well-worth price, given the high walls. I would give them 10 stars!!!

Once scheduled, work was completed in 3 days. Crew was small, 2 people, but they worked quickly and accurately. They were very accommodating of minor changes and requests. Very pleased with the result.

Our experience was anything other than 5 stars. Would NOT recommend this company to anyone. The crew sent (one man) came out twice to our house to do a simple one room job plus two doors. The ceiling is still not painted-it's two different colors white. WE PROVIDED the paint for the wall, which the painter left primer paint from the ceiling on he had to redo the second time. The baseboards were never painted as agreed upon either time, the frame around doors was not painted the first time, and our door jam was messed up so the door would not close correctly after the painter removed the seal and did not replace correctly. Geoff Davis (manager sent) basically tells my husband and I we are lying due to his worker telling him he painted our ceiling twice. I was here the entire time and the painter did not even bring a ladder to our job-I had to give him our extension ladder in order for him to paint the second day. The painter only did touch up and not the whole ceiling-my husband and I can both see the discoloration as well as our family. Furthermore, Geoff is not willing to admit POOR services rendered when my husband is trying to settle on a price for this job that is fair when we are the ones left with MUCH LESS than what was promised & agreed upon. Would not recommend this company to anyone.

Great painting crew! They know how to paint a STRAIGHT LINE! Great job matching a color in or home that was 10 years old. Thanks again to Geoff Davis that provided the quote and his oversight on the project and to Marvin the paint crew leader.

We hired Tanner and his crew to paint our two bedroom condo in between renters. We do not live in the area, so we inquired about the possibility of meeting for a quote and having the work done over back-to-back days. Tanner was willing to meet with us on very short notice to provide a quote for the work and was then able to, again, complete the work in a very quick time frame (the next day). In my estimation, his quote was fair. He shared his company's policies, including the use of the same crew throughout a project, a walk-through at the end of the project, and respecting the home by using drop cloths and vacuuming after the job was complete. They matched the paint to the color previously on the walls for us. <br>On the morning that our job was to be completed, I met with the painters and let them into the house. We exchanged numbers, and they knew I'd be around the corner waiting for the job to be done (rather than waiting in the house itself). They said they would call when the job was complete. Around 5:15, when I received a call from the painters saying the job was complete, I headed back over. However, they were not completely done. The crew was finishing touching up the trim, but the majority of the work was complete. The paint job on the walls was beautiful. They told me it would be about another 20 more minutes. <br>The only thing that I had noticed while I was there that bothered me, was that they were not using dropcloths and the paint buckets were sitting on the carpet without anything underneath. In my quick glance around the house, I was focused on the paint on the walls, and everything else all seemed fine, so I did not bother to comment. There was a lot of debris on the floor, from sanding, filling in nail holes, etc.. and dried paint from the paint cans. This did not concern me as it was part of the agreed upon service for them to vacuum when the job was done, and they were not yet fully done. <br>I still had a few more errands to run to fully prep our house for the new tenant, and wanted to head back out of town that night. Because everything up until this point had gone exactly as arranged, I did write the check and provided it to the painter - this was my mistake. When I returned about 30 minutes later, the painters were gone. The floors had not been vacuumed at all and upon walking around to pick up some of the bigger pieces of debris, I did find some paint drops on the carpet. <br>As previously mentioned, I live out of town and did not have a vacuum with me. Prior to the paint job, the carpet had been steam-cleaned to prepare for the new tenant. I was embarrassed to leave the floors the way they were with a new tenant moving in the following week. The next day, after I had returned home, I reached out to Tanner to express my concern over how the house had been left. I didn't ask, nor was I looking, for money to be returned, but in my opinion not much was done to remedy the situation. Instead of an apology, Tanner said he had spoken with his painters who had "insisted" they had vacuumed, and discounted my complaint, saying that I had not been in the house since the job was complete.  <br>While it is the right thing to back your employers, it is another thing to discount the customer. After my asking, Tanner "agreed" to have the painters return to the house and meet with our new tenant to vacuum the house. As proof of the lack of clean up, I sent him several pictures of the carpet, with the rings from the paint buckets still in the carpet, and obvious debris on the floor, including several nails that had been removed from the walls. As "agreed" upon, I sent him the time frame for which our new tenant would arrive so we could arrange a time to have the painters vacuum. I did not receive any further communication back from Tanner after sending the photographic evidence of the lack of cleaning and paint drops. Again, we were not really looking for money to be returned to us, but no gesture was offered to remedy or even acknowledge the drops of paint on the carpet or the condition in which the house was left. As the date of when our tenant arrived has come and gone with no word from Tanner, we arranged for other means with the tenant directly. <br>Overall, we were pleased with the actual paint job, but very disappointed by the end clean up and how the situation was handled. Perhaps if I had been in the house during the painting, or if the house had looked like it was filled with our household goods, they might have used the drop cloths more faithfully. I also learned my lesson on providing payment before a job is 100% complete. I would recommend Five Star Painting with the advice of having more personal oversight to the job that is being completed. <p></p>

Five Star Painting (Wilmington, NC) did an excellent job from the beginning to end. We needed the new home's interior painted prior to carpet replacement and moving in. <br> <br>Tanner Green was prompt to the appointment and very thorough in his evaluation and estimate. The estimate captured room by room, area by area cost breakdown. A better laid out estimate than most. Allows you to easily see what your paying for. <br> <br>I was provided with a choice of providing my own (self-purchased) paint, selecting which store brand paint I wanted used (Five Star would obtain) , or accepting Tanner's thoughts on a paint brand to use. I went with Tanner's suggestions, and am satisfied that quality paints were used. <br> <br>The crew arrived the very next day, managed by Francie, all were organized, professional and focused.   <br>The crew throughout the job were prompt to arrive, were neat and organized. Extra efforts were put in due to the color my wife picked (very light to cover the older darker colors). The task was finished faster than expected. On completion, Francie made sure I was satisfied, I was. <br> <br>Tanner also came by at completion to check the workmanship and to verify that I was satisfied and to remind me of their warranty and re-work they would do if needed.  The amount paid was the amount agreed to. <br> <br>Painting is typically considered an easy DIY, leave it to the professionals at Five Star Painting. <br>Overall. we are completely satisfied that we picked the right company to do the job. Well worth the money spent. <br>

Very well I will use them in the future.  Trent is a great guy and is also great to work with regarding scheduling and suggestions.  Geranimo did thorough work.  We had an issue where the builder did a terrible job with sheetrock tape and the company provided an explanation and then provided a solution.  I really appreciate their thorough work.

Not only was the job done promptly and professionally, it exceeded all of our expectations. This is a Victorian home, high levels of detail and simply could not of been done better. Over six different colors were utilized, and the selection of paint quality and durability was exactly what was needed. The crews were extremely polite, on time, and cleaned their work areas each day. Also, owner Tanner Green kept us in the loop during the entire process, which spanned several weeks and, like in any project, will have its twists and turns. We had five competitive bids, several were higher in one was lower. However, when it got down to making the final decision the overall proposal presented by Five-Star Painting was the most complete, and made the most sense. We knew there would be no surprises, and there were not. They will now be our painting partner going forward. We have recommended them to five of our close friends, and will continue to do so. <br />
