Floors Direct LLC

We are having problems with the tile now and one is cracked and another has a pit. We need follow up work done on the initial job, but we are unable to contact Joel as his cell and store phone numbers are no longer working and when my husband drove by the shop, it looked empty.

We had a great experience with Floors Direct.  Joel was wonderful and brought samples to our home.  I didn't want to be overwhelmed with a showroom and the samples he brought were exactly what I was looking for.  Gabe took the lead on the installation and they got it done in 1 day even though they had to go pick up the product and were stuck in traffic.  The finished job looks great.  I had a few questions on it the next week, they came out and addressed those.  Great customer service, follow up and product.  Very happy, will recommend and use again. <br />

Joel and his crew did an outstanding job.  We recently bought a house and were on a tight schedule to get moved in 3 days before Christmas.   <br /> Joel showed up promptly with samples and could do the work within our time frame. Due to rain the painters were moved back a few days, so the flooring had to be rescheduled as well.  No problem. <br /> Gabe and his crew were so polite, pleasant, and professional, and were able to finish the job on time. <br /> They encountered a few problems and addressed them quickly.  They had to cut in under stone and brick under two fireplaces,  and had to remove some custom baseboards in the kitchen without damage so they could go back in place.  There was an uneven spot in the addition that needed concrete poured to even it out. <br /> The baseboards!  Gorgeous, even, flush against every wall, no gaps at all. <br /> The floors turned out beautiful.  With two dogs and 2 cats, so far not a scratch on them. <br /> We would highly recommend Floors Direct <br />

Went great. The company owner Joel is extremely easy to work with. And he promptly returns phone calls! Definitely a pet peeve with me in dealings with other contractors. His crew, Gabe and Joe were fantastic. I moved all of the little stuff and they took care of all of the large furniture. They were very careful and returned everything. Also worked very cleanly. No problems at all with communication they made sure to ask questions before proceeding if they weren't sure how I wanted something done. The last day was baseboard, they spent all day making sure it was right, looks so much better than the old stuff. Also, Gabe made a special trip for a tiny bit of corner round to finish off the bottom of one of the sliding windows just because it looked better. Loving the new floor and baseboards. The floor is the best installation job I've seen. I have just enough wood left to do the guest bathroom, they're coming back, yay! I also would like to have them redo the chair rail in the bedroom and dining room. The previous owners did a crummy job. I won't be needing new floors for several decades, but if I did, I would deal with Joel, Gabe and Joe again in a heartbeat. BTW: Gabe loves pizza. Joe will eat anything. <br />

Chris and Joe arrived Monday morning and began working right away. They are very professional, and friendly. Very personable, which is a great asset, as the project took a week to complete. Anytime I had questions they were happy to answer. Their daily diligence was very admirable and at the end of every day, they ensured the work areas, inside and outside were cleaned and free of any debris.  <br /> The quality of work performed is outstanding! They did an amazing job, as did Avery (additional help a couple of times during the week)! When the project was completed, again, they cleaned, mopped and put all the furniture back! I really appreciated that!! Chris, Joe and Avery are great! <br /> And I love the new flooring!! If you are in the market for new flooring, Direct Floors, LLC is the way to go! Very refreshing to see a company and it's employees take such pride in the quality of service they provide! I would definitely hire them again! <br />

Joel Hydock is great. We did this job in our new home from across the country.  Joel was responsive to both calls and emails through the whole process. His prices were very competitive. He answered every question (and we had a LOT). It was like having an uncle in the flooring business, but with no emotional baggage!  The only thing we should have done was listen to Joel more! The installation was done in 3 days, 2 less than originally planned. The site was left immaculate. No one from the condo association, <br /> building staff or neighbors said a peep. <br /> Joel Hydock is what every contractor should be: candid, honest, informative, responsive, fair and patient. Super impressive guy and the process was seamless.

I called last week to get some ideas on new floors for my house.  I was not ready to buy at that time, but wanted to do my research on flooring and start to get ideas on pricing.  Joel answered my questions and was very responsive to messages and then phone calls.  Joel offered to come by and talk me though all the ins and outs.  In all fairness I later found out he was close by in the area.  But still I liked that he came by and spent the time going over what makes one floor better than the other.  <br /> Later after Joel left I went to Home Depot and Lowes to look at their floors.  I was glad that Joel went over the thickness so I could compare it to the bigger stores.  I ended up calling back later that night and placing an order with Floors Direct.  The pricing was great (great enough to just place the order now).  <br /> The installers (Gabe and Chris) were on time and very professional.  They kept the place clean and were great to have around.  After the install the floors look great. WOW the color just popped and was incredible.  I am glad I went with the underlay and baseboard all at the same time (was going to do the baseboard myself).  It might just be me but the floors when you walk on them sound great and feel great.  I was worried about the thinner floors and the feel when you walk on them.  A few millimeters sure des makes a big different.  <br /> Overall I am very happy that I called Floors Direct and Joel.  They spent the time educating me on the floors enough that I felt very good about the purchase.  I would recommend Floors Direct to anyone looking for new floors.

I live in Boston and have a condo with my Son in San Diego ... I was looking for my son to have new hardwood or laminate floors installed in the condo but wasn't sure what would be best for our circumstances (possibly might rent unit in the future) Joel advised us what he thought was best which was laminate due to less maintenance then hardwood. We had already looked and picked out flooring at home depot which was laminate that we really liked and was pretty sure we wanted to go with and Joel showed us some samples colors and thickness from his suppliers? Amazing ?. Color looked better, thickness 8mm home Depot 12mm Joel, quality of laminate B- home depot A + Joel, added acoustical underlayment for noise barrier and it looks like real wood ?. All that and Better Price. Joel also did new baseboards removed the old ones and installed new 5 inch baseboards. </p> <p>I scheduled a time and day for them to come and they were on time and very professional. Joel and his staff communicate well from start to end which is very welcoming, especially when doing this from a distance. </p> <p>I will add pics once my son sends them. But have spoken with them and they said it looks ABSOLUTELY AMAZING AND BEAUTIFUL. Excellent job by Chris the installer.  The price was great, and Joel the owner, was great to deal with.  He responded to calls quickly and followed through on every question.  <br /> I have recommended them to neighbors.

My experience with Floors Direct LLC went very well. They did a great job. I'm very pleased with the results. Out of all the estimates I got for the work, they had the lowest price.

Carpet not tucked where it meets wood floor.   <br /> Had Pacific Wholesale Carpet come out and fix it when they installed carpet in my mom's house. <br /> <br /> Base boards were suppose to be painted with semi-gloss paint that could be wiped down....Not sure what is on base boards but they are very difficult to clean....not semi gloss paint....have to scrub them with brush just to get dust off! <br /> <br /> Grout used on Porcelain Tile is not White as ordered.....Wont clean!  Also, no grout or caulking where tile and base boards meet! <br /> <br /> Every thing looked so nice when it was done.  But, after about 6 months I started carpet unraveling where it meets wood and from day one have had extremely difficult time with base boards.

Wow.  We are thrilled with the new floors.  We were hesitant to commit to such a large project with a local company, but we are so very happy we did.  They were considerably less expensive than Home Depot or Costco, and we got personal attention from Joel, the owner. <br /> We picked out tile from Arizona tile and Joel gave it to us at his cost, plus the labor.  The carpet and hardwood were specials that he carried.  We choose  an engineered distressed hardwood for about 2000 sq ft - almost the entire house except for the baths and guest bedrooms.  It looks far more expensive than the actual bargain that we received.  It took a few days longer than anticipated, but they also did more detail work at no additional charge. <br /> The finish trim on the stairs are a show stopper, with the craftmanship on the stairs, flooring, and baseboards far exceeding  anything we imagined.  <br /> We would definitely recommend them!!!
