Unfortunately, I had a terrible experience with Follett & Co. Masonry and its proprietor, Andrew Follett. I hired him to do some masonry repairs on my chimney. He quoted me approximately $3,600. He required a $1,200 deposit to secure some equipment for the job and ensure a timely start. I paid the $1,200 via check. Andrew promptly cashed the check but never followed through on the work and never refunded my money. I spent months chasing him and giving him opportunities to do the right thing, but to no avail. I had to file a lawsuit against him in the State of Rhode Island District Court. The judgment was in my favor (Andrew never actually even responded to the complaint despite being served by a Marshall). The case is now a matter of public record - Civil Action File Number 4SC-2023-00138 - Fourth Division District Court - State of Rhode Island. I'm sharing this information so that others are not put in the same situation.

Andrew did a great job. We had wanted a paver walkway for years. He was friendly and professional, recommended the best products for the job, and performed the work in a timely manner. He cleaned up the site when it was done. I am very happy with our new upgraded walk to our front door, and wouldn’t hesitate to hire Andrew the next time we need work done.

Andrew went out of his way to finish the stone veneer and wall to my liking. It's a creative process, and he had no problem changing things as we went along as I changed my mind. Beautiful job, gets lots of compliments!
