Fox Granite

PLEASE BEWARE and know that I am writing this review for those hardworking individuals who genuinely want to know the good and the bad before spending their money. And I do not want to see anyone disrespected, or made to feel less than (like we did), regardless of the amount of money being spent. Trust me, when I first read the previous reviews, I was excited about this company. Unfortunately, my lived experience was a complete nightmare. When Greg first saw our kitchen he seemed extremely annoyed, and proceeded to tell me, in a stern tone, that it did not make sense for us to be changing perfectly good countertops. And after basically calling us stupid because we wanted to change our countertops. He then commented that this was the reason why he did not like working in neighborhoods like ours (Dominion). He went on to explain that he did not like working with rich people because he did not like their attitudes. Yet he was the one acting totally hostile and disrespectful. Lets be clear, I am a retired Army Officer and disabled Iraq Veteran, and we are far from rich. So, with tears in my eyes from complete shock and disbelief, I asked him what made him think that he could come into our home and insult us. I went on to remind him that I had asked for an in-home estimate, not a mouthful of demeaning and disrespectful comments. My husband came to see what was happening, and that is when Greg changed his tone. He immediately apologized and stated that he was just scared to do such a complicated job, so instead, he displaced his emotions onto me. He also admitted that he does not like to do custom jobs, and asked if we would allow him to start over. And because we are forgiving Christians, we forgave him and agreed to continue. When Greg brother, Sam, came to take the measurements, we were alerted that he had come through the front gate of our neighborhood, but 10 minutes later, he still was not at our home. So I called to see if he was lost, and he immediately became defensive. When I tried to explain to him that we are responsible for our guest and it had already been more than 10 minutes at that point, he angrily stated, I will be there in a minute. The whole time he was there it was cringe worthy and uncomfortable. The next day, I called to confirm some information, and Sam was not only short with me, but he cut me off multiple times. He then began to slander another business not knowing how to do their job, when actually he was the real problem. When I tried to explain to him that there was no need to slander another company, Sam began to make a childlike noise as if to drown out any additional words coming out of my mouth. I was treated better by our country enemies during war then these two brothers. Not only did I feel attacked, I felt judged and made to feel as if I was the problem. Even though, Greg stated that he was used to getting these types of calls about his brother offensive behavior from other customers. If you decide to go with them, just know that having an opinion or asking them a question may automatically mean that you are challenging them in some way, and result in you being disrespected and dismissed. So be prepared to be silenced or rudely spoken to.

Couldn’t be better

Sam from Fox Granite was very helpful and courteous. His estimate for the job was detailed and easy to understand. They had several slabs of guartz at their facility, so I was able to see the large piece before making a final decision.

I would give Fox 10 stars. These guys are a shining example of what makes a good company. Very professional, truthful, reliable, efficient, fairly priced. They were immensely helpful in picking out the right countertops for my kitchen. No other company brought materials to my home where I could see how they would look in my actual kitchen. I was going to go with a different material, but they were spot on in their recommendation. My counters are amazing!

There are not enough praises I can give this fantastic company! When we called them Sam came right out to give us a quote and spent a lot of time with us on all the different options. Everyone is so professional and you can see the goal is to give you the best service and product available at a reasonable price. We wanted to change the sink after we had decided on another color and Sam worked with us to change it even though it meant another trip for them to go get it. There are so many details like that where they just went way out of their way to help us out. I can go on and on about how great they are, but what really sets Sam, Greg and their team apart from other companies is not just that everything they do is excellent quality, but how they handle a problem when an issue arises. Many contractors are good when things are running smoothly but you really see how professional they are when they have to deal with a problem. Through no fault of theirs we had a couple of issues come up and they responded so quickly followed through with the stone company and got everything resolved. Fox Granite is a top notch company from start to finish!

They were on time. They provided excellent customer service! They followed up with phone call to make sure that the project was done to our expectations. This is a family owned and run business I highly recommend Fox Granite.

First time I have used Home Advisor -- found Fox Granite and they called me within a couple of minutes of registering and explaining what service I needed. I sent them a picture and countertop measurements for my master bathroom and they were able to send me a quote within an hour. I was very pleased with the entire process. The installer was very professional and my duties prior to installation were clearly outlined in an email. I would highly recommend this company.

We hired Fox Granite as we were getting ready to move into our new home. Moving is a hectic time, so we were glad we hired a trustworthy and easy to work with company. After measuring the cabinets, the crew was back two weeks later to install the new countertops. The granite is the most complimented part of the small remodel job and we recommend using Fox Granite for your project.

This has truly been a pleasant experience. I would especially like to commend your install team. They were professional, fun to work with and did an outstanding job. One of biggest concerns when I met with you is not having seams be obvious. Two ladies who came to visit could not even find the seam and my husband had to show them where it was. GREAT JOB!!! The quartz counter top was perfect and at a very reasonable price. The only problem I had was the way they installed the undermount sink. The sink came with the proper hardware to mount to a quartz or granite counter top but the installers opted not to use the supplied hardware. Instead they used a mish mash of old used 2x4's screwed into my brand new cabinets. Doing so, they did not get the sink aligned with the opening, it's a good 14" off from one end to the other. Fox Granite came back out and fixed everything. I'll give them 4 1/2 stars, would have been 5 if they would have explained why they couldn't use the supplied mounting hardware in the first place and if they hadn't mounted the sink crooked.

The road to replacing the countertops in my bathroom has been a long and arduous one. I first started a couple of years ago, but was so annoyed with the sales tactics of the company reps, that I temporarily put my plans on hold. When I could no longer stand the sight of my counters, I decided to give it one more try. Luckily for me, the first company I had contact with was Fox Granite. Sam was professional, but not pushy and offered some great recommendations. I was very impressed with the way the entire installation transpired, from beginning to end. The installers were professional, making sure they covered the floor from the entrance all the way back to both bathrooms. In interacting with them, I found them to be very polite, friendly and respectful. The plumber arrived after the installation was complete to reconnect the faucets, and he was awesome! He even gave my husband advice regarding an issue we were having with one our outside faucets���super friendly! There aren���t enough superlatives in the book for these guys! My experience with Fox Granite was unexpected. My countertops look awesome, and it was one of the best experience with any type of home repair/remodeling job���.ever! Bottom line: If you are looking for the most bang for your buck, superior results and outstanding customer service, Fox Granite is your go-to company. I promise you will not regret it!

A team of 3 men from Fox Granite did the demo on our old countertop this week. Very professional with hardly any mess and kept our cabinet in perfect condition . Can't wait to see the finished countertop this next week. Excellent customer servicing from this company!

Fox Granite did a great job of installing our kitchen countertops. The countertops were ready to install a week from the template date and look great. We had a minor problem with the granite but Sam was very responsive and took care of it immediately. With this type of work things may not always go as planned which is why you need a company that is focused on customer satisfaction and making things right.

Fox was the most reasonable bid of several. Work was done efficiently and professionally. Install crew was great, as well as plumber (Boyle). Would definitely use Fox again. Sam Fox quickly returned my calls prior to work. Love the new countertops!

We chose Fox granite after doing an extensive review of comments left by customers for several granite companies. All the reviews for Fox granite were great and we are thoroughly thrilled with the customer service, installation team and professionalism of the entire organization. Sam Fox did a great job explaining the process and every step went exactly as planned and described. Highly recommend to anyone looking for kitchen upgrades and a great smooth process!

I am going to happily join the masses in providing Fox Granite with another 5 star review. The process of installing new granite countertops and tile backsplash was simple, fast, and dare I say it: FUN! I had Sam out on 9/12 to quote my job. Since I really had no clue what I wanted, Sam made some suggestions and provided me with a written quote. Like other reviewers have mentioned, there was no pressure to sign a contract right away or to give a deposit. As I mulled over the decision, I got a few other quotes and looked around at more granite options/ colors. I called Greg Fox on a Saturday afternoon and asked how they would/could accommodate my desires, and they not only committed to meeting my needs, but also provided me with an updated quote within the hour. Once the decision to go with Fox Granite was reached, Sam and Greg both set about to find slabs of granite that would precisely meet our vision. Once Sam arrived at what he thought was a good set of options, we met Sam at the granite place the next Saturday and personally picked out and slapped our name on the slabs that would be just for us. Next, Sam's crew came out to make a template of my countertops and prepare to cut the granite. These guys are AWESOME. They are an extremely hardworking, nice, funny group of guys. I will even go so far to say that it was a pleasure having them around. Once the granite was cut, the crew returned RIGHT ON TIME for the install appointment. Again, super friendly and VERY accommodating. They were patient me with as I took photo after photo, helped me hash out whether my blacksplash tile was a great choice or a disaster, and checked with me every step of the way to be sure all holes were drilled properly and seams were sealed flawlessly. GORGEOUS! The next day, Sam's backsplash crew was on the scene. Again, RIGHT ON TIME. Kelly and his guys were FANTASTIC. They were clean, nice, considerate, and friendly. Also didn't mind me snapping pictures of the progress every 15 minutes! All of the plumbing, gas, fixtures, and face plates were all reinstalled with care and precision and the crew didn't leave until I was 100% satisfied and the kitchen was gleaming and clean. They even provided thorough after care and long-term maintenance instructions. The project was completed on 10/10/14. Overall,this was a FANTASTIC experience. I HIGHLY recommend Fox Granite for any granite installation project you have. Extremely professional, accommodating, and service-centric. I am BEYOND impressed and pleased. We used crema bordeaux granite and the tile backsplash was special ordered from The Tile Store.
