IT WENT HORRIBLY <br />  The provider Frank Rowdon is a very nice person.  Very polite, arrived on time and went right to work.   The problem is that he did a terrible job installing my backsplash.  The backsplash is cut wrong, not aligned with rest of tiles, uneven on edges.  It is so uneven that it looks and feels as if the wall is warped. Metal edging was not cut properly and is jagged on corners.  Grout on tile looks terrible, theres more in some areas to cover up larger gaps.  He was also very messy letting large chunks of grout fall to floor and hardening.  And while removing my stove out of its place Frank caused a very large scratch on my less than 3 week old newly installed wood floor.   And last but not least, Frank took 2 full days (12 hrs) ea. day to install 23 sq. ft. of backsplash, and causing me to have to purchase extra tiles to finish a job where I had purchased enough tile for this already.  <br />   This deal was more expensive than I had anticipated.    My tiles cost me $600 + $299 for this deal and my floor will cost me $300 to replace the wood floor planks and I will now have to pay to remove tile, fix wall and re-install backsplash.   This was not worth it at all! <br />   <br /> <br /> <br />

He did a great job with the repair, matching it perfectly to the existing wall and tile.  The work was done in under a day.  He also replaced a piece of baseboard that had also been water damaged. <br />

Frank did a fabulous job!  He responded very quickly to my request for an estimate and was able to start the job within a week of giving me the estimate.  He was punctual, very professional, and worked meticulously to complete the kitchen backsplash with the design that I wanted done.  The backsplash design included using three different tile patterns using marble and glass tile and it looks wonderful.  Frank and his son really worked as a well coordinated team and I absolutely love my backsplash.  While Frank was here I mentioned that I needed my front door locks replaced (I had the new locks already) and he said that he could do that too.   I highly recommend Frank and will definitely use him again for more home improvement projects.  Call him, you won't be disappointed! <br />

Frank responded quickly by phone and email for my requested estimate instead of dragging his feet to get back to me as other contractors had. Communication is vital to me as it's a necessity in order to plan my schedule. <br /> Tile removal and installation was done quickly and cleanly which is another plus as I hate having to clean up after someone who has been paid for a service. <br /> Installation of the shower door did not go as smoothly due to the hardware that was supplied with it. The integrity  of the wall screws were in question but Frank and his son came up with a solution quickly by thinking outside of the box. A quick trip to the hardware store was required which they did without me having to leave what I was doing to deal with the purchase. That little trip saved the headache of another day which was appreciated. <br /> They were able to drill comfortably through marble slabs which is not to be taken lightly as marble has a tendency to crack quickly if you don't know what you're doing. After that the door was installed smoothly, sealed up cleanly and ready for use. <br /> I would not hesitate recommending Frank for any installation or repair jobs you may have. <br />

<p>Frank and his son arrived on time and got started right away. There were problems with the walls not aligned correctly by the builder; <br /> <br /> the door that was installed before has always been a problem with gaps which didn't help our Utility bill and was a smaller door than the regular size door that I bought, but they knew exactly what needed to be done and cut the drywall to raise up the space so the new door could fit properly. They installed the door, replaced the drywall so one couldn't tell that it was cut; cleaned up after themselves and when I called him to fix an area that needed a small adjustment (because of our unaligned wall) he came in on time, solved the problem so that we can now run our A/C again without fearing leaks and went above and beyond by not charging extra, to remove and replace some weather stripping in 2 other areas. We're planning on hiring him again.</p> <p>They did a great job and I give them 5*****<br /> <br /> </p> <br />

They did a great job, but the price was a little expensive. <br />

Took three wks to complete work as he rescheduled finishing job then forgot to caulk the shower. <br />

Just a really bad job, and a total lack of quality in the work. The Master shower had to be gutted and redone. We found 2 x 4's that had termite damage that needed to be replaced. When he was and quot;doneand quot; I went back in and saw damaged wood remaining that he claimed were support beams and he couldn't replace them. I literally grabbed one and squeezed it with one hand and it crumbled, so obviously it wasn't supporting very much. I asked him to replace it anyways and he did. Then he started working on the Marble tile I had bought. I asked him if he was good with it, he said it was. He claimed that multiple tiles broke. I bought more. He said some came broken that I had bought. He threw it all away and I wasn't able to take any of it back for free replacement which the company would of done. The last day he was here when he left saying that all he had to do was finish polishing and to call him back when I was ready, and that's when I really took a long hard look at the work. <br /> <br /> The floor had tiles that were pointed up, it would not of drained. It wasn't the design that I asked for originally, but I was OK and could of dealt with that. Then I started looking at the walls, Tiles were not lined up, the transom was done incorrectly (no tilt towards the shower it was flat, it was done with two pieces instead of 1 which would of been a mildew haven since water would gather there), there were chips in the marble (I'd already pointed a bunch out that were broken after he said they were done and made him replace those. Very Very disappointed in the quality of the work. If he had just said at the beginning that he couldn't do marble, I'd of said OK and found someone else. I'm going to have to pull it all down and redo it. Another grand in Marble as well. I have since talked to other contractors and they claimed that though marble can be difficult to work with, a sharp blade and a slow pace usually prevents hem from cracking. <br /> <br /> The house was a mess, dust everywhere, tracked though the house, the garage...I hold myself just as liable for not firing him earlier, He was pleasant and a nice guy, but just way out of his league on this job and it will cost me 3 or 4 grand to redo everything. <br /> <br /> I would happily upload the pictures of my bathroom here, but can't.

It went well. <br />

Very good job. Very professional. Was on time, even had to come back because light fixture that I purchased need extra chain due to my high ceiling. Mr. Rowdon's did not charge me more for the extra trip which I appreciated. He came out the next day and finished the job. I would use Mr. Rowdon's again when needed. <br />
