Interlocking Pavers for Patios, Walks & Steps - Install- For Business
I DO NOT RECOMMEND Freedom Fence and Deck; their MAIN FOCUS IS MONETARY and LACK ACCOUNTABILITY, RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALITY for the results of the interlock pavers for the patio installation and fence. After saving to experience outdoor living and researching different businesses, I decided on Freedom Fence and Deck. This was a huge disappointment. I experienced this company attempting to bait and switch as well as manipulate an agreed sign contract with the measurement of the patio and key entry fence with handle. When I provided proof of the patio measurements the contact was honored. As of this review, ant hills are not only visible, vegetation is growing. I refused to be accused of damaging the installation of interlock pavers for the patio or nullifying the contract; therefore, it continues to grow. Although I have a warranty and anticipate these concerns to be addressed professionally and timely, I am leery; they are money driven. NEGATIVE STARS; be VERY AWARE!

"Hi Tonja, it saddens us to read this review after all our conversations as it unfortunately does not reflect the entire story and is defamatory. Your estimate and signed contract reflected exactly 208sqft and the layout in our logs also had 208sqft patio. Behind the layout page there were different layout options that were spoken of at the time of the initial appointment. Due to the highly unlikely but "possible" misunderstanding we (Freedom Fence & Deck) decided to install approximately an additional 72-100sqft of pavers at no additional cost to you. We did not have to do such a thing as our signed agreement is very clear. We chose to do so for various reasons and not one of those reasons seem to be "monetary gain, lack of accountability, responsibilities, or quality". After the installation of your patio and several attempts to collect final balance payments, conversations regarding ant hills came about. We spoke about the ants and how pavers do not attract or repel insects or ants. If there is an ant problem they must be dealt by the homeowner as they will make homes within the polymeric sand. If the property is not maintained, then the holes created by the pests will be filled with dust, dirt, and organic matter which will then grow grasses or weeds. This is not something that is covered by any of our (Freedom Fence & Deck) or manufacturers warranties. We do hope you are able to take care of the ants and any other insects/pests as the damage to the paver patio we installed will continue."

Great experience from start to finish. My appointment was with Carlos who also provided my quotation. Unlike his competitors he came prepared with material samples along with pictures of previous projects. It was clear Carlos had a background in structural engineering as he was able to answer all my questions pertaining to anything structural. I received my proposal the same day of my appointment which others took weeks. It included firm pricing for permits which others only provided a range of cost. The job was well managed with keeping their workers on task and managing material deliverers along with keeping me up to date on job statis. Their workers are true craftsmen as their attention to details clearly shows. My wife and I couldn’t be happier with the deck they constructed along with our experience with this company.

They installed my fence in 2019 and it was fantastic!! Now, we had a great sales rep who did a fantastic job for our repair due storm damage. But there's no customer service (3rd party contractor site, hard to navigate), no onsite supervisor walk through at the end, no email, no call. We did get an email 3 hours later, balance paid, how nice. I wouldn't recommend this company now at all.

I contacted 5 other companies to replace a 27 year old wooden deck and railings. ONLY one of them showed up to provide an estimate. They were $7K MORE than FF&D for same materials. It was a replacement, not a new build. FF&D Kelsey very nicely followed up via Angies List. I ignored them for almost 3 weeks but Kelsey, kindly, without spamming me, suggested a free estimate at my convenience. I sent a terse reply thinking it would fall thru, but it didn't. Jim was beyond helpful, keeping in touch thru the HOA approval process. Within weeks they had a date for replacement and removal of old decking material. Within 2 days the work was completed without issue and we have a beautiful composite deck with vinyl railings. They did exactly what they said they would do and we're very pleased with the result.

I hired the company to install a 6' privacy fence in August 2015. The contract stated that I have a lifetime warranty. The wind blew apart the panels on one gate on 3/18/2024. I called the company to schedule service. A representative by the name of Richard stated to me that the installation was completed over 9 years ago and is no longer covered by the warranty. I explained that the contract stated the fence has a lifetime warranty. In addition, I faxed him a copy of the contract. He still refused to honor it and said I would have to pay a minimum of $500 to have the gate repair completed. The warranty does not specify a time limit, any exclusions, or additional fees to be paid by me. I feel this company collected payment for a service not provided. Therefore, violated my consumer rights. I would like an investigation conducted into this situation and provide me with any remedy allowed under the law.

Freedom Fence & Deck did a fantastic job replacing our 35-year-old wood fence with a beautiful white vinyl fence. Jim (the salesman) was very easy to work with and accommodated all of our design choices. We found particular latches and handles that we wanted to use, and they agreed to install them for us. The contract process was quick and straightforward. After about six weeks, they were ready to install the fence. They sent out two crews at the same time, plus the owner Steve, who worked alongside them. With seven people working, they managed to finish the entire job in just one day! Our old wood fence was completely removed in about 15 minutes, and then they meticulously installed the new fence, setting all the posts into wet concrete and making sure all the sections were straight. At the end of the long day, when one of the locking gate latches wasn’t working right, Steve patiently worked on it until eventually we realized the part was defective, so he replaced it with a working one. A certain kind of handle had to be ordered, and as soon as it came in, he came back to install it. The fence materials are extremely high quality—the vinyl feels very thick and sturdy, unlike the kind sold at the home improvement stores. And the new fence has completely transformed the look of our property—we’ve already had several compliments from neighbors. The whole process couldn’t have gone better, and I’m happy to recommend Freedom Fence & Deck for all your fencing needs!

It went fabulously. The porch is truly our happy place. Warner continues to comment on what a great job Freedom Fence and Deck did, as do our guests. Freedom Fence and Deck built us a beautiful 6ft privacy fence. We had and old chain link fence which was removed by them as well. The process was quick, clean, and smooth. From our first meeting with Jim, for an estimate, to completion of our project, it was less than a month. Jim answered all of our questions and made us feel at ease. Brent got us scheduled quickly. The men that came out to do the project were pleasant, quick, and cleaned up the yard when the work was done. Steve was on sight multiple times to answer any questions we had as well as to look over the work that was being done. We could not be more pleased with the service and fence that we got. Everyone at Freedom Fence and Deck has been wonderful to work with. If we should need anything in the future, I would call them right away.

Freedom Fence and Deck will always be our go to company for any fencing needs! This was our second time using them and just like our first fence install they did not disappoint. From their super knowledgeable sales team (Brian), to their install team, and even their owners (Steve), they all played a part into why they are Maryland’s #1 Fence and Deck company. We had nearly 500 feet of fence installed (50% on a severe slope) and not only did they do an amazing job but they were able to complete everything in just two days. We had a very difficult jobsite. LOT of rock. On a slope. It took a while for them to get here (good companies are always busy!). Worth the wait. Crew arrived on time, worked clean, finished up on schedule and as expected. Quality was fantastic (higher grade boards, better concrete, set posts then come back the next day to do the main part b/c the posts need to set up). The owner visited the job site on the day they started and the day they finished. Really impressive commitment to the process. Every piece of this - from the sales guy to the billing to the crew was outstanding. Extremely pleased and would hire these guys again without any hesitation.

It went well, the wait for an installation date seemed a little long but that was due to thing being shut down due to the outbreak of the Coronavirus. But when they called they came out the next day, and they did an excellent job!

The people at Freedom Fence were wonderful to work with. The salesman, Jim, was detailed in the price and plan and responsive to all of my questions. When their quote came in above the other bids I got, Jim worked with me to get to a price that we could both agree on - I was willing to not go with the lowest bid because I knew the quality of what I would get from Freedom would be higher. Construction was a bit delayed because of weather, but the team was great and the owner Steve came by to meet me the first day and returned the second to inspect the job. The fence looks great!

I had Freedom Fencing replace a fence for me a few years back and there were a few planks that had popped loose. I called them to come to take a look and Steve called me and indicated he was going to check it out and would call me back. By the end of the evening when I arrived home later that date the fence had been repaired! Planks were replaced and he even shaved off gate door as was tight to close. I didn't even ask him to fix gate! I highly recommend this company as they are responsive and efficient!

Quality work and smooth project start to finish - This was one of the easiest and best contractor experiences we’ve had and I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again for future projects. Jim came out to give us an estimate on about 80 feet of privacy fence between our property and our neighbor’s, showed us our options and pricing and was totally knowledgeable and low pressure. We had another estimate scheduled but we were so impressed with the initial consult and the photos of their work that we just went ahead with them and we were glad we did. On the job day, Steve came out and personally looked over the site and answered all our questions and the fence was put in without a hitch. All the workers were courteous and everything was left clean and tidy. The fence looks better than I ever imagined a privacy fence could look and I feel like it really adds to the property. Estimate was not the cheapest but the materials were much better than the other companies they were very flexible and so were we but the job was completed way ahead of projected time of completion. Very happy with the results and quality of workmanship. Highly recommend this company.

After receiving 3 estimates to have a 14 year old deck replaced we decided to go with Freedom Fence & Deck, my husband and I are so glad we did. Dan was very knowledgeable and professional; he was so helpful explaining the best product to use for our new deck. We received an estimate to tear the old deck down and replaced the new deck before Dan left our home. Dan & Candy, the office manager, followed up with the permits & our HOA requirements. The approximate period of time to get the deck started and to finish were as agreed on our contract. The crew, Whitey & Cody was very knowledgeable & hard working, great workmanship from start to finish. The deck was completed in a very reasonable time during very hot weather. They both were very personable & answered all our questions. Whitey & Cody cleaned up the work area everyday and made sure we were comfortable with the progress made on the job each day. We cannot thank you enough for your excellent service. The deck is a prime example of your hard work and dedication. We are looking forward to enjoying our deck for many years.
