Started out ok. Got an estimate and decided to do the project in 2 parts- one room, then a month later the rest of the house. First part went well- good quality work by Daniel. When I tried to begin the rest, I could not get any response. I finally contacted the painter directly as opposed to the business and he told me Tito, the owner went out of business suddenly- no notice- no warning.

Chris Muth was extremely professional & organized from the moment he arrived at our door. It’s the first time I’ve had a contractor present all Credentials including license insurance and mission statement before he even entered my home. To add to that, I had an estimate within 10 minutes as he put it together outside and his work vehicle. We hired Freshcoat Painters on the spot & have since recommended them to all & everyone. Julian was the painter who performed all of the work in our home and he could not have been better! Super clean, courteous & utterly professional. He was sincerely a pleasure to have in our home. Though I had a hard time committing to particular colors (more than once!), both Chris & Julian never appeared to lose their patience. THAT was also impressive! We ended up finding more work in our home as we knew they did such a fantastic job. Highly recommend, very affordable & trustworthy.

The guys were very professional, didn't smell like smoke and showed up on time (big deal for contractors). The guy that did the edging was like a laser. He said he'd been doing it for 14 years, and it showed. We even had a laugh at our own attempt to paint a line.

Chris and his employees are professionals that will make sure your project is done right. I had initially hired Fresh Cost of Lutz to paint part of the house, including stairwells and trim, but I decided to give them more work after seeing the quality and results. They ended up painting most of the house as well as my cabinets; we are very happy with the results.

I'm writing about the fabulous job Fresh Coat of Lutz Painting did on my home. The workers were always punctual, they kept the work area pristine, and they were always polite. The owner Chris Muth provided world class customer service, was interested in my opinion and my overall happiness s with the job. Chris was at the job site every day, checking on the quality of the workmanship. He was meticulous with the results. Before the project began, he explained to me step-by-step what to expect. He accompanied me to a paint store to ensure I was completely satisfied with my paint choices. On the return trip to my home, he drove me around the neighborhood to show me that my color selection would complement my home, and improve the value of my property. His suggestions allowed me to make better choices. I wholeheartedly recommend Fresh Coat of Lutz Painting. Their attention to detail, and quality workmanship has increased the value of my home.

We discussed the type of project that they were supposed to do for me. This was going to be an extensive project. I paid them in full on 3/16/17 and I informed him of issues that I found with the paint work. I noticed that they did not do any caulking and I also noticed gaps as well. They informed me they would come back out to correct the issues. I thought the person that I met before the project was going to do my painting. The day of project he informed me that Dave's car broke down. I told him it is not urgent but he insisted on bringing someone else that I never met. I was not sure if they were an actual painter. I just want this issue to get corrected. I feel that he should have told me upfront and let me know that the project was too much instead of doing it anyway and turned out not being a good job.
Response from Fresh Coat of Lutz
"First, I must say that I'm sorry that you feel this way. We never want any of our customers to feel that our job is inadequate. However, I feel this review is undeserving and unfair. I discussed in detail the procedure that would be taking place during the quote. We never discussed caulking the structure prior to the starting the job. The car port is made entirely out of wood. Caulking every gap between each piece of wood would take days. We pressure washed and hand scraped the structure for hours. It was not until after the job was completed, that you mentioned that you wanted the structure sanded instead of scraped. I did not ask for payment until the job was completed. At the time of payment, you stated that you were satisfied and that the car port looked much better. At that time I was also asked to quote other exterior work on the house. Once you contacted me days after the job, I stated that I would be sending someone out to do some caulking at no charge. This is above and beyond what we discussed during the quote. I'm not sure what else you would like for us to do. I believe that this review is unwarranted. I have kept all lines of communication open and have more than held up my end of the bargain. We would be more than happy to discuss this matter over the phone and resolve this issue. UPDATE - 4/13/17 Fresh Coat performed requested touchup and some caulking. Painter verified satisfaction with the customer."

The painter showed up and went right to work. he kept his mess to a minimum and was very polite. He was incredibly good at edging, and after asking how he can do it so well I learned that he had 14 years of experience. Everything went well and I will use them again in the future.

Fresh Coat of Lutz did a great job! They first came to the house to patch and repair holes in the wall, then the following day completed the painting. After the paint dried we noticed a few areas on the walls where the patching needed to be smoothed out, Chris had the painter come back to the house and corrected the issue to our liking. On time, reasonably priced, cleaned up after and we loved the way it turned out. Would definitely hire again.

I hired Chris Muth and Fresh Coat to paint two rooms in my home. They turned out amazing. Chris was great from the consultation to the finish, making sure everything was done right. His crew was meticulous with the lines and the edging, which was very important for the finished product. I highly recommend Chris and his crew at Fresh Coat.
The job went very smoothly, showed up on time, did the job properly, clean up was very good & to have Chris come by to inspect the job himself before payment was rendered was greatly appreciated. He wanted to make sure everything was done correctly & to my satisfaction. You don't find that too often these days!

There are no don'ts on my list but a big DO call & have Fresh Coat come out & talk to you!

Details.

I like to keep it simple.

They showed up exactly when they said they would be at our home.

They did the job as stated.

What more is there to say except we will be using them again in the future when my wife finally decides on the color of the brick that she wants.

Chris and his team where very professional in all ways. Protected the house and furniture with floor mats and coverings. Always on time. Respectful and courteous. Accommodated working around our other contractors in the home.Chris the owner on site daily for inspection and to see if there were any concerns or issues. Pricing was very fair.
