Hired to replace my existing plaster ceilings with drywall, replace the old blown insulation in the attic with batt insulation, install a new ceiling fan including wiring, and rewire an existing ceiling fan. Juan and his guys are efficient and professional. They always showed up in the estimated time frame. They cleaned up the work area every day before they left and cleaned up at the end of the project. Extremely pleased with the finished work. Jason, the owner, is very responsive to emails, texts, and phone calls. Kitchen ceiling was cracked and falling the day after the estimate and I called Jason and he sent Juan out within an hour or so to brace the ceiling to keep it from falling. This was before I had even signed a contract. He had absolutely no obligation to do that, but I extremely appreciate it. It saved me a mess and damage to deal with. Would absolutely hire them again in the future and highly recommend them.

Run! This group held my job up on purpose. When I replaced them, their project manager kept showing up on the site pretending to desire to rent the unit only to say negative things to tye new contractor. I had to get the permits approved. They ignored the documents requested from the city. Warch your quotes, they will try to state "that's not covered" so they can double back for more money. Be smart. Insist on a performance bond. They list masonry in their name...these folks can't even tuckpoint correctly. When I called the project manager on his poor workmanship, he stated that I knew his quote was not complete even with the contract stating "complete building." Also, there were items that showed up missing after they were hired. This had never occurred before they gained access. There were no signs of forced entry...but they insist their guys didn't do it. Barry hardly visits the site unless it's to run of the new contractor or renters. Do yourself a favor, run like h*** away from this group. They now have real estate management listed on their voicemail. Truth be told, these people are out here trying to steal people's properties. Hire at your own risk!

After a bad decision and particularly horrible experience in hiring a friend who claimed to be a licensed contractor (my mistake for not checking him out), I reached out to Friedman Home improvement for help in fixing the disaster that had become of my only bathroom. From the affordable estimate to the consultation to completion, the Friedman team was responsive, accommodating, friendly and professional. They showed up on time and worked all day, every day - demoing, gutting and replacing the floor, walls, ceiling, plumbing and electrical as well as installing all of the fixtures I had purchased. 5 business days later, my bathroom was complete. Although it isn't the bathroom I had originally envisioned when I decided to start this project, it turned out better than I ever imagined and I absolutely love it! Do yourself a favor and don't make the same mistake I made. Just hire Friedman Home Improvement from the start and you won't be disappointed. Thank you Friedman Home Improvement for a beautiful bathroom and stress-free experience!

Jason, the company owner great to work with and he genuinely cared about what what my wife and I wanted him to do for us. He showed up on time for our first initial appointment, gave us great options for our roof and windows and chimney topper. They did exactly what they said they would do and were amazing through the whole process. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Friedman Home Improvements for anything that you need remolded or repaired on your house. They do OUTSTANDING WORK to their customers satisfaction. We could not be happier with their services provided to us and we will use them again in the future.

We lost out on thousands in selling our house because of Friedman and his shoddy work. I thought having a brand new garage would be a selling point, but not built by him I have a leaking garage that took 2 years to build and it cost ~30k Our garage was hit by a tree and was deemed unsafe. The old structure was demolished and building materials were delivered, materials sat in the rain and snow for over 6 months before building started. The wood was moldy and waterlogged. This was used to build the new garage. I called the city and township offices to check up on the project and learned it had been delayed (in part) because Jason never applied for a permit. He didn't seem to realize that a building permit from the county was required. He mentioned that the township office would take care of it (they don't). It seemed like things were more difficult and lengthy because he didn't know how to navigate the bureaucratic side of things. Foundation work began nearly a year after hiring. Framing began a few months after that. The build was 'complete' 2 years after demolition of my old garage. Water seeps in under the walls every time it rains, even a light rain, the osb soaks up water like a sponge. He sent someone to fix it but it was only caulked around the bottom which did nothing to help. There is no flashing around the roof trim and it looks tacked up as an afterthought, carpenter bees moved into the bare wood immediately. There are open soffits allowing animals and insects free access. Jason is aware. My yard was also left a mess; my patio was destroyed during demolition and a giant pile of soil was left after foundation work that I had to move by hand, not to mention bits of shingle and siding, trash, nails, broken glass, and cigarette butts were all property. He wanted us to sign another contract in order to fix anything. I would not recommend this contractor

"In regards to what has been said , the truth needs to be on the record . We did work for them before and they were very happy (ROOFS). If we were so incapable or bad at what we do, why contact us back? That would seem to make no sense on any level . We fought on her behalf to get the garage torn down for the better part of a year, spent our own money to have an engineer provide a report to the insurance to combat the engineers report from the insurance company . We finally won her/our case to demo the garage . Subsequently, by law, you must have Plans drawn up to submit to the city . The city was debilitated with the Covid epidemic, drastically affecting timelines. Said customer was made aware of every step of the process on a consistent basis . The insurance only covered the demo of the garage itself , not a new foundation, so the old one had to be used . Homeowner was given the opportunity to have us demo the pad and footers but decided to forego this extra work. They had a large crack in the middle of the foundation pad , which they could clearly see and we pointed out. In the end, said customer got a brand new garage (the original garage was very old and broken)…. Which increased the property’s value by quite a bit . Her claim that our NEW garage devalued the property is completely and utterly inaccurate seeing as how we have access to what the house sold for when transaction happened , it is public record. Furthermore, we cannot control nor are obligated doing repairs to a garage side wherein someone has come along and tried to attach a “lean-to” to the side of garage . Our original construct was changed up near the soffits/fascia boards to try to accommodate the “Lean-To” that looked to have been attempted (not by us). We have finished pictures and received final payment by the same homeowner that has said so much in a negative manner. It’s rather disheartening, but we as a company have to have a stopping point at which our liability and responsibility ends. We cannot be responsible for other’s doings. We really went to bat for our customer, as we always do and always will. If we had this to do over again, respectfully …. We would do it the same way. We could not have been any more fair, professional, or responsive . One last mention…. If there were anything we did wrong as a company , the city absolutely would not have passed us on the numerous inspections that are were required and were subsequently done in this customer’s case. The Friedman team did truly *amazing* job! Jason (the owner)’s initial visit to our home lasted more than an hour. He asked very detailed questions to ensure he understood exactly what we wanted to accomplish. The estimate was quickly produced, and was exceeding thorough and clear, spanning a full 2-pages, itemizing all that the job entailed. When there were possible ways of saving money, he offered them. He also suggested a number of clever workarounds we had not considered. The estimated amount was a bit less than the other two quotes we received. In addition, it included items others had not thought to suggest. Other companies said they could begin in 4-6 months. Jason said he would begin in 2-3 weeks and complete the sizable renovation within 3 weeks. Once we agreed to move forward, everything was wrapped up within the timeline he estimated (from my experience, a rare feat!). All members of his crew were friendly, diligent, and highly competent. They were efficient on site, demonstrated great skill, were cautious not to damage anything, and performed a through cleanup, leaving nothing behind. The final product far exceeded our expectations! We are very grateful for Jason's Team and we definitely plan to use them for future projects. Thanks so much! Jon & Courtney

This was no small job as it was related to 17 years of wear and tear on the home and it was not a typical home as the drywall folks were working with 28 foot ceilings. On a job of this size and nature you expect some complications along they way and of course there was but I can honestly state no matter what developed it was taken care of with professionalism and the thought process of the customer is right so lets fix what the customer is asking. Because there were some many different items needing repaired it required different crews to be involved and each and every crew was professional, caring and most important cared about the work they performed in the end which showed.. I own 3 business and know what it takes to work with the public and do what it takes to achieve 100% customer satisfaction. Jason Friedman Improvements seems to have a science in place to assure that happens on a daily basis. I would recommend this firm for a large job such as ours was or even a small one if that is what you are looking for.

I can't say enough good things about Friedman Home Improvement! We had an outside wall that had old stucco crumbling from a small portion of wall next to our garage. His guy came out and went above and beyond to repair it correctly. Looks great and everyone was friendly too. We'll definitely give them a call when we get around to other big projects we need to get done!

Jason was very good at coming to the house and asking questions, and giving me advice on what he saw, and what could be done. He then sent an estimate in a timely fashion, as well as got the work done, and made certain it was complete and satisfactory before asking for the final payment.. Beautifully! The weather played into getting the work completed but the mason, Jeff, would show up and work whenever the temperature and the “wet” permitted. The result really has us smiling and grateful for Jeff’s efforts and his guidance before he began the job.
