Fernando cut and removed all the mortar joints on my stone walkway. Then he installed new mortar. He showed up on the date and time we discussed and the work was completed on time. He was clean and respectful of my property. He took the time to carefully remove old mortar and preserve our existing stones. The walkway looks great and we plan on hiring Fernando again!

F Stone Design - Fernando has successfully completed two jobs for me. One in stone (wall) and the other in brick (Front entrance repair). Both jobs were extremely well done. Not only was the final product first rate, the work was completed on time with minimal disruption. Cleanup was meticulous. Overall a great job and customer experience.

Fernando evaluated a stone facade on my Colonial Beach, VA townhouse that had come loose due to poor builder construction. He matched the stone perfectly and repaired the original work to like new condition. He was responsive, timely, cost-competitive, and most importantly did grade A work. Would definitely hire for any future projects!

It went very well, Fernando was prompt, courteous and very professional. He constructed a low stone wall using materials previously gathered and did a wonderful job of fashioning them into an impressive and beautiful decorative wall. I intend to use him for additional work, and would gladly recommend his services to others.

Fernando was very responsive and flexible, giving me a competitive quote for the work. I had a badly cracking chimeny crown, the brick was also stained and joints that were in need of repair. He did a thorough job, explained that it would take two days and covered the chimeny with a tarp when the forecast called for rain. They are quite busy so I had to wait a few weeks to get the work scheduled. Overall quality of work was good and he communicated via text throughout. I would hire him again.

Fernando and Amelia did an excellent Job. Fernando was very responsive in the bid process and took the time to explain the options to us. Fernando followed up on a timely basis to answer all our questions. They were punctual and did a quality job. I would definitely hire them again!

Fernando was on time, professional, careful, and clean. Before starting the masonry repair, he and his assistant taped heavy paper to the floor to minimize, dust, dirt and damage to any surrounding areas. Fernando worked straight through the job until it was completed in one day. The job was done well and at a price well below other bids I received. Fernando brought his son, who is fluent in English, to help answer any questions I had about the job while it was going on. After the job was complete, I checked the work and the new wall section was straight and matched up with the old existing section of the retaining wall. I spent about 1/3 of the price of my highest bid I received. His bid was comparable with my lowest bid from another contractor.

Very smoothly. The team was always on time, responsive to questions, and did a thorough and complete job and cleaned up afterwards.

Fernando came by to provide an estimate within a day of the request and completed the job within a week. The work they did removing and replacing the cracked mortar joints was excellent. They completely removed the mortar between the bricks as opposed to just cutting a small area of the mortar out before replacing it with new mortar. The new mortar is much whiter than the old mortar but hopefully the repair will be less noticeable after cleaning the old mortar and exposure of the new mortar to the elements.

A large portion of the natural stone facing had separated from the foundation and settled resulting in a large crack the length of front porch. Fernando arrived on time and assessed the problem, explained everything in detail and provided an estimate later that same day. He and his brother arrived early the next morning and removed all the natural stone from the face of the front porch and painstakingly removed the old grout from the stones in order to re-use them. This was important to me in order to match the color of the remaining portions of the stone facing. When the house was built the stone was grouted directly to the poured concrete foundation which resulted in poor adhesion. Fernando installed the proper wire mesh against the foundation and then proceeded to reset all the natural stone. They returned the next day and installed the grout. A first rate professional job all the way. Responsive, on time, job done to perfection. Couldn't have asked for a better experience.

I am very pleased with the whole process. Fernando showed up when scheduled, performed the work in a very professional manner, cleaned up everything, and matched the existing mortar. A great job.

It worked out well. I had the bricks and I had the mortar. They came and mixed up the mortar and chiseled out the bricks that were coming loose on the house. I provided the supplies they had the labor and the skill. I didn't call any other companies to compare price. I don't know what the other costs would be. They were here right on time.

Fernando came over after I purchased the offer from Angie's list. He estimated an additional $750 to do the work. He and his brother came on the appointed day and spent almost 11 hours repairing the sidewalk, short joints and long ones. They replaced several broken bricks (I had the spares) and packed the area between the sidewalk and driveway with an asphalt material I provided. The sidewalk was over 15 years old so the new yellow mortar did not quite match to old mortar. Hopefully the sun will help the matching process. Otherwise, the sidewalk has been repaired and looks good.

F. Stone Design Company LLC is a skilled masonry contractor. They repaired and replaced mortar and stones for my 75-yearold flowerbed. They cleaned and refilled crumbling mortar. In addition, they searched for and found matching stone -- quite a task! They are skilled experts on their trade --very professional, punctual, pleasant, and have great attention to detail.

Excellent. Mr. Meneses and his brother were very courteous and efficient, and the work was done quickly. Mr. Meneses ensured that the bricks and mortar matched the other parts of the walls exactly, including the width of the mortar. He ensured that the drain was protected so that no debris went down that might result in a clog. He and his brother cleaned up everything before they left. I would definitely hire J. Stone Design again.

Overall, Fernando of F. Stone Design Company LLC and his brother completed the work as I requested. Fernando called me a day or two after I purchased the deal. He looked at my requests and determined what needed to be done. He then scheduled a date to compete the work two weeks into the future. He originally wanted to do the work a few months later, but I thought that was unreasonable. So we agreed on a Saturday in two weeks. He called me that morning and confirmed he'd be there at 1pm. I thought that was late to complete 8 hours of work. However, he brought along his brother. So they completed the work in less than 3 hours with the two of them working. I'm happy with the work they did. They were throrough and had the right tools, including a mason saw. They definitely knew what they were doing. On the negative side of things, communication was very difficult, especially on the phone. This didn't impact the work, but it was unclear two of them would be doing the work. I'm glad two of them came though because it was a more efficient way to work. They also charged me $35 for materials. I thought that was a bit high for the amount of mortar used. I provided the replacement bricks.
