Maher Construction

Not good customer service.

Working with Maher Construction has been an all-around horrible experience. I hired them to do a full renovation of my bathroom on October 6. Things seemed to be going well, but then the contractor was out sick for a week. Then he was out for an additional week because he got backed-up with his other jobs. When he did finally come back (after 2 weeks), he was clearly trying to rush through the job to complete as soon as possible. He started making sloppy mistakes, and one day he left his assistant to do detail tiling work on my shower. The assistant clearly didn't know what he was doing. Tiles were cut crooked, set crooked, set unlevel, and some tiles were scratched on the surface. A couple tiles on the floor were cracked all the way through. I told the contractor the detail work would have to be redone, and even offered to pay him more for the additional time it would take to do the job right. Finally the contractor came back to "fix" everything, but it really just consisted of him using an angle grinder to hand-cut the tiles that had already been installed. Everything still looked horrible and additional installed tiles were damaged in the process, so I told the contractor he would have to remove the bad tiles and try again. The contractor then returned on a day I wasn't there (only my wife was home). He took a look at everything, loaded up all his tools, and said he would be back that weekend to finish the job. And then we never heard from him again. It's been nearly 2 months since this job was started. I have no toilet, no sink, and no working shower. I now have to pay someone to fix Maher Construction's mistakes, and I have to pay someone to finish the job. Maher Construction and its owner, Muhammad Afzal, are dishonorable and incompetent. You should avoid them at all costs.

Good quality work done fairly quickly The job involved removing an old ceiling and old insulation which they handled with little problem and the new sheetrock ceiling was installed expertly

Very nice work, they know what their doing, on time, clean up afterwards, def recommend for your project, very pleased

They are really good guys. They are very cooperative and professional. I recommend them to my friends and family, and I plan to work with them again in the future.
