<p>Initially, he seemed like he was very very knowledgeable, very friendly and gave us thoughts that he knew what he was doing. They arrived on time. They're very good. The crew was pretty quick and efficient. One problem I had was they didn't come with enough materials. They had to reschedule for a completion of some. There were some minor issues that we ran into. They were supposed to paint the chimney cap and never actually did that. It's not a big deal but the other thing was the warranty and we kind of had a fight with them for the warranty to actually be processed. The warranty was the big thing and it was a lifetime warranty and I guess there were personal things that came up. It was just basically what I've learned late, but it took us probably eight months to get the warranty to be processed. That was my biggest concern, but the warranty company ensures me that everything is good even though the paperwork has the wrong number on there and I am assuming that's because they had the wrong number initially which is why they didn't have enough material.</p>

Roof was done promptly, and a great job. However, the work crew hadn't gotten the word about color of flashing, so they called my wife, who didn't know either (and I was out of town and unavailable). So she allowed them to use white flashing. Joshua had told me how the flashing would be installed in such a manner that there would be no need for a drip strip under the edge of the shingles.  When I returned home  I found white flashing, and it was installed so that there was a 1/2 inch gap between the flashing and the bottome of the shingles. Joshua told me they'd come out and replace the flashing, and do it right.  It took MONTHS and MANY phone calls to G&G's answering machine (no call backs for weeks at a time) before Joshua, himself, came out to redo the flashing. But he came so late he only had time to do one side, and he'd forgotten to order the matching colored nails, so he was spray-painting nails as he went. He promised to come back and finish the next week...but didn't return for a couple more months, and many more un-answered phone calls.  Joshua FINALLY came back with a couple of workers, and they finished the side he'd started and finished the job...but again with the wrong nails.  Joshua promised they'd come back the next Monday and touch up all the nail heads with the required green paint/lacquer.  That never materialized...and I begged Joshua (on the answering machine) to just give ME the touch-up paint, and I'd finish the job.  Through all of this (more than a year) Joshua kept promising to come, and to fix a couple of leaks on my house for free, and to refund my money for the initially botched flashing job...but none of this has ever materialized.  The roof he did is superb...no complaints about that, but getting the flashing fixed right has never been finished, after about a year and three months.  I've left MANY messages, but they are never returned, so as this point, I'm pretty fed up.  I held off making any comments, in the hopes that EVENTUALLY the job would get finished, but I'm out of patience.  Oh yes, and the front side that Joshua started, but didn't finish...he used a folded edge on the aluminum. His workers who finished that side didn't...so it looks a little strange.  He said he'd fix that, but it never happened.  I actually LIKE Joshua, and picked him over several other competitive bids, but I don't think I'd do it again.

y and I was getting concerned that he was going to cash the check.  He told me he wasn't going to do that so I trusted him.  I finally got the money straight.  After that, everything was a cluster.   I did finally get my roof put on and thank the lord they were Mexican employees, because they did an excellent job.  They did not however, have any type of magnet or pick up any old or new roofing nails which was a big concern because of my grandchildren.  I actually pulled one out of a shoe of mine.  I had also signed a contract to totally complete a shed that I couldn't get the roof or siding on myself, and an old garage.  Needless to say, I told Joshua to forget about the shed. The work that was done by G&G on the garage, was not done by the same group that did the roofs and they may or may not show u p for weeks.   The work done on the garage was left  with live wires, electrical outlets not connected, wall where electric wires are enclosed is pieced together with scraps, lights there were there are no longer there and none are connected to a switch, and the breaker box is enclosed in the wall where you can not get to the screws to unscrew the cover.  I had repeated conversations with Joshua and then Amanda.  Joshua was not focused most of the time and very undependable.  He would promise and swear he'd be there and say he was going to make it up to you and he did none of that.  He did come with his brother in law on a Saturday around 2 and stayed until 5 building a couple shelves in the garage.  They left and then he called me at 11:45PM and asked  if I was still up and that he had brought a light to hook up in the garage.  I couldn't believe it.   They also left a work trailer her for weeks - they took off the tags and just left it. <br /> He kept calling & asking me to write a check for this or that amount and I have no clue why I ever wrote him the last check, which paid it in full.    <br /> I finally had no choice but to go to court, which I was granted the judgement - nobody showed up from G&G. <br />

After a ridiculous estimate from a prior contractor, whom I fired, I called G&G and another local company.  Both came out for estimates as scheduled.  G&Gs estimate was a hair higher, but I felt more comfortable with them than the other company. <br /> Amanda was easily reachable and everything was easily scheduled around my personal schedule. <br /> The crew arrived early the day of the job and promptly began to work.  They didn't mind at all that I watched, as I wanted to see the damaged plywood they'd be removing.  The main roof was completed in a day.  The sunroof roof and gutters were completed the next day.  Due to weather, the shutters were installed on the third day.  A few bits and pieces of the sunroof work were left behind, but nothing to complain about. <br /> Although the other estimate for the main roof was a tad higher than the other company, the sunroom roof and gutter prices easily made up for it.  They also sent out a guy to pressure wash the house after the work was complete....fabulous!!! <br /> I look forward to working with them again on further projects...and highly recommend them to other Angie's List members. <br /> <br />

He gave me a estimated date of when the project would be completed and he never did the work. He never returned my calls. When I did talk to him, he promised he would come do the work and never did. <br /> <br /> ***UPDATE*** <br /> This guy FINALLY finished my roof.  I have been dealing with this company for about 6-7 months.  He is "very busy" and my project seems to be on the back burner for him.  He keeps telling me that everything is going good, but the house is an absolute mess!  I told him that I don't want to leave a negative review on his company, but they get what is warranted.  I see that he is trying very hard and tells me that he is going to take care of it, but he still isn't working on it yet!   The place is a mess!  The stain is peeling up off of the deck that he is redoing.  I am very frustrated about this job!  I have had nothing but problems and excuses from this company.

They did a fair job, but it wasn't perfect.  They were professional, and they cleaned up well.  In addition, their price was good.

I had had issues with G & G.  Amanda wanted to rectify the situation.  She and another member of her crew came to my home and as a curtesy pressure washed my deck.  Amanda was very apologetic and professional.   If I could deal with Amanda I would use this company in the future. <br />

The technician was very patient, it took almost an hour for us to obtain approval from the home warranty company before he could proceed.  He was very professional, explained what he was going to do, did a great job, and cleaned up afterwards <br />

Adam came for the original estimate.  He was knowledgeable, professional and answered my questions.  We set a date for the work and he advised I would be called the day before with details.  No call so I called and left a message.  My call was returned promptly by Amanda with many apologies.  She explained that the company was going thru a bit of a change.  I was very appreciative of her honesty.  She gave me the numbers for the roofing supplier and another client to assure me all would go well.  She certainly kept her word and the work was done in a timely manner.  She came to my home several times and called throughout the day to make sure everything was running smoothly.  We needed to do some adjustment to the original price and we were able to come to a satisfactory agreement.  <br /> My only concern was that I am still picking up nails and staples in my yard.  They did go around with a magnet and blew off the roof but <br /> I am still picking up debris. <br /> Amanda showed a great deal of integrity.  I would use this company again. <br />

The crew that was sent out to replace roof was good.  However, very disappointed in the professionism of the owner.  I know there were some personal issues going on at the time but the way "we" the clients were handle was not professional.  I can't recommend this company. A project that should have take only a couple of days was draw out into months.  Work was only completed and not really to my liking after lots of emails and voice mails.

G & G were here on time, and were done with the entire roof by 2 PM in the afternoon.  They worked very quickly and efficiently.  They were very polite, and cleaned up well.  They took a magnet machine around our house to pick up all the loose nails, making sure there were none left behind.  I would recommend them to anyone looking to have their roof worked on.

They did a terrific job on the roof and gutters. No issues encountered. They were prompt and courteous. They cleaned up after the job and the house looks terrific. I highly recommend them!!! <br />

After a bad storm caused a very large Maple tree to fall over on to the corner of our home and caused the whole corner of the roof and the siding to be damaged we needed a quick repair. Gabriel and Gail was the answer to our prayers! They came out and did the estimate, but because they are so talented when they came out to do the job it actually didn't cost as much as it could have. They repaired the roof the day after we accepted the estimate. We didn't have to be at home because it was outside. But they were on time. They were able to repair our gutter, and match the paint perfectly. They did the same with the siding! So no need to use a new piece. Today the house looks like nothing every happened. Wonderful company, fantastic job done. Very polite and professional. <br />

The roofing was completed in one day, the gutters the next day and then the leaf guards were put on a couple of days later. All mess was cleared away the same day.   Can't say enough good things about this company <br />

His crew and crew leader were very attentive to details and my questions.   Since we have pets, I asked them to double check the ground around the house before they left each day for any items that could be ingested or would hurt their paws if stepped on and all six of the crew went around the house a second time double checking for me.   The final result is a gorgeous, well-installed <br /> roof that will last for decades!    I would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone looking for a roof repair or replacement. <br />

The crew did an excellent job and were a great bunch of guys.  They were even kind enough to help me hang up a decoration on the front of the house before they left.  The process was delayed by almost 2 weeks due to weather and other issues.  Before I had even signed the contract to use them to replace the roof (which is the first service I used them for) they came out and looked at the places that were leaking and patched them up until the replacement could be done.  They worked in a neat and orderly fashion and cleaned up all of their mess. <br />

Gabriel & Gale (G&G) Better Business promptly returned my call to set up an appointment. Gabriel came out, found the leak and promptly sealed the leak. Gabriel explained where the leak was and took digital photos of the before and after repair. I liked the promptness of returning my call and fixing the leak the same day Gabriel came out. I am going to have him give me an estimate on a deck replacement job at my other house. <br />

The workers did a good job.

G & G did an excellent job. Joshua showed up and provide a written estimate when scheduled. His estimate also included a written warranty. Their warranty is better than anyone else that I received a quote from (15 yrs.). Their pricing on guttering and down spouts also beat the competition. After I awarded G & G the job, a start date was scheduled. They showed up with a full crew on the established date and completed the job on the roof. The following day, they installed the new gutters and down spouts. Clean up was acceptable. After the job was complete, I have received several comments on how the work has added an improved curb appeal to my home.

Provided a prompt estimate when requested.  Started the job as scheduled and completed the roof exactly on schedule.  There was some delay in completing the gutters and finalizing the insulation, but they were minor.  They cleaned up well when finished.  No roof debris or material left in yard.  We were able to select among many roof an gutter color options and the roof and gutters are beautiful.  Small items found during installation, such as soffit that had to be replaced around the porch, were provided within the installation time period at reasonable cost.

Mr. Gabriel arrived, assessed the damage, gave us a estimate and completed the work on time and well done.

An online request produced a telephone call within 20 minutes to set up an appointment to do an estimate. Reasonable rates (compared to others). Courteous and excellent workmanship and followup. Very pleased.
