I sent the signed contract and was told they couldn't get me on the books for 4-5 weeks. I waited about 4 weeks for a call and when it came in, they wanted to come the next day. No notice and we had to pull up carpet, remove paneling, and drywall. Needless-to-say, we had to reschedule for the following week, which they were very accommodating about. They were supposed to arrive in between 8-8:30 and did not show up until 11:15am. They were in an out within 4 hours. They left dried concrete in my mulch/landscaping which was not appreciated when I found it a week later. A basement window was also left open in an area of the basement that is not frequently traveled- it was not noticed for a week, after rain and leaves had entered the basement.

Had these guys come out before buying a house and they provided great insight on what needed to be done and gave us a quote we were able to use in negotiations. That is about where the good service stopped... Once we closed, we were excited to get the job started and done with. We had 1 month before we moved in and was hoping to get it done then. However, it took them over a week to send someone out to even measure. Granted, this measuring appointment took all of 15-20 minutes. The guy assured me it would only take them a day to do it and they would be calling me to schedule it really soon. After a couple of weeks had passed, I called them. I was told, "They had me down as needing to be scheduled, but not scheduled yet. So they will get me scheduled." Would I have ever been scheduled if I didn't call, who knows? The day finally came for them to do the actual job of beaming two walls and waterproofing them. By this time we had moved in for about a week and we were currently living in a jungle of boxes. We were waiting to move a lot to our storage in the basement, so it would not be in their way. The plan was for them to be at our house between 8-8:30. They called at 7:30 to let me know they would not be there till around lunch. I had to leave work in the middle of the day to let them in around 12:30. When they got there, I asked them how long it would take? They said they would be done at 2pm. I was shocked. They were going to be able to knock all this out in 90 minutes!!!?!?!? Go get it fellas! Then came the phone call at 2:30 that they were done for the day and would be back tomorrow to finish. Okay??? I was told they would be there in the morning and I would either be the first or second job of the day. I could not leave work in the middle of the day again, so I asked that they make sure i was first thing. Not to much to ask, since it was my basement they left unfinished the day before. The next morning they were there on time, no issue. Well, no issue until I came home. They left empty chips bags, empty bottles, a sweatshirt and an extension cord!!!! I read ALL these great reviews about how they cleaned up SO well when they were finished. One person even mentioned "Cinderella-like". Well, we got none of that. Not only did they not sweep, but they left behind trash from their lunches. We also noticed a path of water coming from our washer that was not previously there. I immediately took photos and called. I left a message explaining what I came home too. The next day they called to schedule a time for someone to come over and clean up. They showed up early on a Monday as I was leaving for work. They asked that I start a wash cycle on my washer so they could make sure they tightened it all back up correctly. I gave them their trash and sweatshirt back. I then left for work. I expected to come home to a much cleaner basement, but again I had too high of hopes. The man did not even attempt to sweep up the 1/4" thick layer of dust that is sprawled across their work area. I will NOT use this company again and will advise that everyone not get sucked into some of their glowing reviews. This company is NOT at all like the reviews posted on this site and many others.

This company is amazing!! I had 3 bids, and they were by far the most thorough and competively priced. The other "big boy" in town was far far more expensive and did not even fully cover the engineer plans. Gaidish started ahead of schedule...much to my delight, had it done in 4 days, cleared out things in front of walls (other competitors told me I would have to do it), and completely removed debris and swept up better than Cinderella. The crew was super friendly and helpful. I actually had a power outage that day which turned off the heat in the middle of sub-zero temperature. They called me immediately as they were concerned the pipes would freeze (the house was vacant at the time). I cannot say enough good things about this company. Get your bids if you like....but trust these guys and choose them to do the job right.

I hired Gaidish to install drain tiles in my basement, replace wooden beams with steel ones, and replace my cement laundry tub with a fiberglass one. The work went well and my basement has been dry since the work was completed. The replacement of the laundry sink took a little longer because the plumber wasn’t available but I didn’t have to wait too long and it was worth the wait! This company was very honest about the extent of the work that needed to be done as opposed to another company that tried to scare me with a HARD sell tactic.

Generally well overall. Unfortunately, the weather (early spring) put off the date for the final paving over the outside drain tile. There was also an area along the basement wall for which they didn't install the seepage material (no explanation why). The team broke one basement window, reported to the manager that I had approved replacing ALL the windows with glass block ($200 each for 5 windows). I explained that I had not spoken with them at all, and I'd be willing to replace the ONE broken window. They replaced two. At no extra charge to me. I felt as though it was my responsibility to nag (when will you be able to finish? what's going on with the outdoor work?), when that should be the priority of the business... keeping me informed about what's going on. Finally, when moving appliances, they destroyed my washing machine (cracked a cement part so it couldn't be repaired). I wasn't aware this had occurred until after the fact. I complained but have had no response. Despite the carelessness and unresponsiveness, that basement is dry as a bone. Can't complain on that note. I marked that I would hire again... slightly unsure about that. I'd like to think there's a perfect company out there that would contact me up-front about when work stops or will continue, or when they break something. Otherwise, the foundation work + sump pump install was superb.

Pick them if you want honesty and integrity. Jeff arrived on time, was honest, professional, and went above and beyond. As it turned out, the work we were told we needed by previous contractors wasn't necessary. Drain tile was already present and functioning in the area in question. Jeff was honest about this and didn't simply attempt to create unneeded and expensive work. He took it one step further and helped me better understand alternative corrective measures we could take. I'm very grateful and can't say enough good things about them.

The work got finished a little late but that was due to rainy weather. The cost got out of control because of things they ran into they did not know of ahead of time. When the new topsoil they put down sunk from settling, they did come back and retopoff the topsoil.

Great to work with. We had already had a foundation architect come in, so we knew exactly what needed to be cone. Gaidish didn't try to add anything else (that happened with 2 other companies) and did exactly what was recommended. They were a pleasure to work with. We were also under a time crunch due to home sale, they were respectful of deadline.

The Gaidish crew arrived early and completed all work in three days. They attached a plastic film around the perimeter of my basement to minimize dust and did a wonderful job cleaning up. We've had some heavy rains since then and my basement was dry for the first time in many years. Although I was completely satisfied with the work, I was most impressed with the time the owner Jeff took to answer some questions. I had stopped by the Gaidish office on a Saturday morning and although Jeff had already left, someone called him and he returned, opened the office and he proceeded to answer my questions. I certainly wasn't expecting that! These are the people you want working on your foundation/Basement problems. You won't be disappointed!

The workers were efficient and cleaned up well. The only issue we had was the smell from the waterproofing that continued well after the job was completed. It was so significant during the job that we stayed at a hotel for a few nights. We contacted Gaidisch and they arranged for a commercial fan to be delivered and we ran that for several days. This helped but at times we still have a slight smell that has lingered. We don't know if this is due to how the work was performed or if it due to conditions beyond their control.

Great. They eliminated the need to move plumbing and electrical lines that other contractors said had to be done. I cannot recommend them enough. Showed up on time, did the work as stated, gave an accurate estimate, and avoided having to move utility lines. I would recommend them without qualification.

The team showed up and I was very impressed with the whole process. They were on time, professional, kept my house clean, hard working and very efficient. They had teams working inside and outside. The process took a day and a half and I could not have been happier. Don't look any farther contact these guys first, don't waist your time with other companies that will charge you more money for doing the same thing. If I have any other foundation work on any of the other walls I will not hesitate to contact Gaidish Foundation.

It's been 15 years since this very extensive work was done. The entire foundation is still perfect. I would recommend Gaidish
to anyone and have recommended you.
We went to Gaidish because of observing work in our neighborhood, were personally recommended to me and I wanted the
best.
Since then we put a full bathroom, living area and egress window in the basement, so used the basement for our son's
living area, so it's not just a basement!
We are very pleased with their work and apologize for such a delay in posting a review! The only reason for the B in responsiveness is because at the time that we had water in the basement they were growing as a company and ended up hiring an office assistant. Once she was hired responsiveness was worth an A! They returned to our house and did the extra work that the previous owner had refused to do and they charged us NOTHING! They understood the situation we were in and didn't think twice about just finishing the job. They went above and beyond what they needed to do! Not only did they do the work, but the crew was very pleasant and professional when they did the work. We had newborn at the time and two children, 2 and 4, who loved watching them right out the living room window. The man working the excavator waved to the kids and interacted with them as they watched. They came around 8am and were done by 12:30 just in time for naps. I have shared their name with others and let our realtor know the value of this company.
