John is awesome. I changed my mind 3 or 4 times and he was very patient throughout. Never seemed bothered one bit. The quality of the installation is amazing. I have had dozens of neighbors ask me who did my fence because they were so impressed. I highly recommend gatekeeper fence.

Fantastic. John and his crew...Jason and Jamie... were great to work with. Zero drama. Very easy to work with. They love building fences. They did an amazing job. Very level and straight. We passed code with no issue as a pool was involved. We checked out multiple options. We liked him the best. John is the owner so you deal,with the boss man.

We hired Gatekeeper to relocate our PVC fence that another fence company had completely calculated wrong on our property line. John and his worker Jason did an outstanding job. They communicated with us the entire time to make sure we were happy. They were very professional, courteous and cleaned up afterwards. Definitely would recommend again.

John and his coworkers were great, professional and responsive to our questions. John came few times over before we started any work to make sure all our needs are met and questions answered. We were a little "on a fence" about how to have it installed. They did do the work fast and very clean. Were respectful of our property and our time. We had still one tree that had to be removed and it was in the way. They politely waited few days and came back to finish the fence on time. Highly recommend.

Everything went great, John was prompt in returning my call as well as consistent in maintaining good communication with me. He was kind enough to care about my "little job" and do the work for me, when I know a lot of companies wouldn't think it was worth their time. So, for that I'm pleased and grateful. John sent over two very efficient and professional workers. They were kind and most pleasant to converse with. They broke down my old wooden privacy (shadowbox) fence, pressure washed the wood that was remaining and rebuilt the fence with new wood boards. Just what I needed so am very happy. I'm going to recommend our property manager give Gatekeeper Fence referrals if other members of this community are in need of replacing their fence. Thank you John Tonkery.

Last year we had John install a fence on one side of our yard and this year we were able to move forward and complete the installation of PVC for the remainder of the backyard (we had chainlink and wood). John and Will did an awesome job, keeping the lines of communication open for updates of when the install would be started and completed. I can't thank these guys enough for helping us obtain privacy in the backyard! It's been so peaceful since the installation of the fence. Thank you guys very much!

John was wonderful to work with. As someone with a 9-5, he worked around my schedule for estimates, paperwork and contact. He even arranged for me to be met at my job to sign off on some forms at my request.  <br /> My HOA caused a long delay in my project, not giving me approval for 2 months (by no fault of the Gatekeeper, their paperwork and timing was 100% correct). John was incredibly patient and was available for me to ask any questions or to get any additional clearances my HOA required. Considering it was a fairly small job I am very impressed he payed so much attention to my situation.  <br /> My fence was installed this morning and I couldn't be happier. He actually asked to meet my dog to ensure the fence would work for her. His crew is very professional, timely and easy to work with. <p>We used the services of Gatekeeper Fence 5 years ago to enclose our large back yard with PVC fencing.  We then called them back a few years later when our pool installation required panels temporarily removed and then reinstalled.  We were so pleased with their work then that we called John at Gatekeeper once again for this small job.</p> <p>Sometime small jobs can be a bit tedious.  This job was no different.  John and Dave kept working on it until it was absolutely perfect.  The gate matches perfectly the original railings that were on our house.</p> <p>We couldn't be more pleased!</p> <br />

John is amazingly professional and knowledgeable.  He returned my calls quickly, delivered the quote timely and finished the job when he said he would.  He and his crew work hard and are very thorough.  John even addressed future issues we should consider in the placement of the fence, gates, etc.  To top it off, he took care of all the paperwork for the Town and HOA! <br /> I highly recommend John and his crew at Gatekeeper Fence Co.! <br />

Great turnkey service provided by John.  He even filled out the requisite HOA paperwork and city approvals.  The work was top-notch and we were very happy with the finished product. <br />

Initial appointments went great.  John was very nice and went out of his way to try to be as professional and courteous as possible.  When we went through the HOA approval process, our proposal was rejected because we were trying to push through a new style of fence that was unapproved.  I did a lot of work on my end to push it through the HOA on a second approval process.   Once we had approval, John became difficult to get a hold of perhaps moving on to other jobs he had going.  At one point, I grew worried I would lose my deposit (half up front) and he would just disappear.  Eventually we got an install date figured out and they installed a magnificent fence, I mean this thing is a real beauty.  In the end, the final product was great. I still receive compliments from my neighbors and recommend Gatekeeper fence to them.  I would hire John again, the fence is gorgeous, I would just be aware that dates may slip, etc.   <br /> <br /> John is an honest, hardworking guy.  He does great work, and I am very happy with the final product.

Tonkery and crew installed a fence style for which I had not contracted.  He denied it was wrong, berating me by phone and in person.  I was afraid of his anger (and the strong liquor smell...not for the first time) and called a neighbor for help.  He berated the neighbor so strongly I thought they'd get into a fist fight. <br /> <br /> Tonkery came back the next day and admitted his error. He was very polite but his new installation was slipshod.  I paid the remaining $$ and he then dunned me for another $300-400.  I was so afraid of him at this point, I paid and have seen the last of him! <br /> <br /> I am getting his faulty installation repaired by another contractor whom I trust.

I called this company after getting no response from the 2 messages I left at Jefferson Fence that I found on Angie's List. This company was recommended by our homeowner's association property manager. The owner, John Tonkery did everything right from start to finish. He came when he said he would, called if there were any problems, knew exactly how to deal with a zero lot line home, took care of getting approval from the homeowner's association, and did the work carefully and well. His cost was also much less than any estimates I had previously received.
